Special rank-one perturbations
Polynomials and matrices have played a very important role in the development of different branches of mathematics. Indeed, several mathematicians have introduced classical polynomials very useful for the scientific community such as the Lagrange’s interpolation polynomials, the Chebyshev’s polynomials and the Bernstein’s polynomials [1,2]. Also, there is a strong link between polynomials and matrices through the notions of the determinant, the characteristic polynomial and the minimal polynomial. Similarly, we will introduce in this article two polynomials which we will call twin polynomials as well as a matrix called kernels matrix. Finally, we will present some applications such as the resolution of recurrent sequences with second member and the establishment of several sum formulas.

Theory of a Single Linear Transformation
This goal of this chapter is to find finitely many canonical representatives of each similarity class of square matrices with entries in a field and correspondingly of each isomorphism class of linear maps from a finite-dimensional vector space to itself.Section 1 frames the problem in more detail. Section 2 develops the theory of determinants over a commutative ring with identity in order to be able to work easily with characteristic polynomials det(?I — A). The discussion is built around the principle of "permanence of identities," which allows for passage from certain identities with integer coefficients to identities with coefficients in the ring in question.Section 3 introduces the minimal polynomial of a square matrix or linear map. The Cayley-Hamilton Theorem establishes that such a matrix satisfies its characteristic equation, and it follows that the minimal polynomial divides the characteristic polynomial. It is proved that a matrix is similar to a diagonal matrix if and only if its minimal polynomial is the product of distinct factors of degree 1. In combination with the fact that two diagonal matrices are similar if and only if their diagonal entries are permutations of one another, this result solves the canonical-form problem for matrices whose minimal polynomial is the product of distinct factors of degree 1.Section 4 introduces general projection operators from a vector space to itself and relates them to vector-space direct-sum decompositions with finitely many summands. The summands of a directsum decomposition are invariant under a linear map if and only if the linear map commutes with each of the projections associated to the direct-sum decomposition.Section 5 concerns the Primary Decomposition Theorem, whose subject is the operation of a linear map L: V ? V with V finite-dimensional. The statement is that if L has minimal polynomial \( P_1 (\lambda )^{l_1 } \cdots P_k (\lambda )^{l_k } \) with the Pj (?) distinct monic prime, then V has a unique direct-sum decomposition in which the respective summands are the kernels of the linear maps \( P_j (L)^{l_j } \), and moreover the minimal polynomial of the restriction of L to the j th summand is \( P_j (\lambda )^{l_j } \).Sections 6–7 concern Jordan canonical form. For the case that the prime factors of the minimal polynomial of a square matrix all have degree 1, the main theorem gives a canonical form under similarity, saying that a given matrix is similar to one in "Jordan form" and that the Jordan form is completely determined up to permutation of the constituent blocks. The theorem applies to all square matrices if the field is algebraically closed, as is the case for C. The theorem is stated and proved in Section 6, and Section 7 shows how to make computations in two different ways.

Transverse Hilbert schemes and completely integrable systems
In this paper we consider a special class of completely integrable systems that arise as transverse Hilbert schemes of d points of a complex symplectic surface S projecting onto ℂ via a surjective map p which is a submersion outside a discrete subset of S. We explicitly endow the transverse Hilbert scheme Sp [d] with a symplectic form and an endomorphism A of its tangent space with 2-dimensional eigenspaces and such that its characteristic polynomial is the square of its minimum polynomial and show it has the maximal number of commuting Hamiltonians. We then provide the inverse construction, starting from a 2ddimensional holomorphic integrable system W which has an endomorphism A: TW → TW satisfying the above properties and recover our initial surface S with W ≌ Sp [d].

The investigation of the lifetime execution of polymeric insulator is frequently in light of deficient information. Specialists confront difficulties of not having long perception time to accumulate finish lifetime information so as to make forecast with conviction. In this paper, we are proposing to utilize the best fitting polynomial interpolation method to deal with decide the lifetime show and extrapolate data towards the period of polymeric insulators. To assemble the data, for example, the change of convergence of substance component of polymeric insulation because of various anxiety conditions, high temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubberexamples were subjected to quickened debasement utilizing an Accelerated Weathering Tester (QUV). Every example was subjected to quickened maturing cycle in agreement to ASTM G154 cycle 4 for an aggregate of 3000 hours. The maturing cycle experiences a cycle of 70°C and bright introduction at light power of 1.55 W/m2 for eight hours taken after by four hour buildup at 50°C. Chemical component focuses, for example, Carbon, Oxygen, Silicon and Aluminum were acquired and assessed utilizing a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with energy dispersive xray (EDX). The convergences of chemical components are broke down utilizing polynomial interpolation strategy for different requests. In the first place request to fifth request polynomial interpolation techniques are examined to decide the best fitting bend without essentialness difference from the genuine esteem or genuine esteem. The interpolation curve is utilized to gauge the age of an obscure matured specimen. This examination has uncovered a novel technique for deciding a model that could portray the lifetime of polymeric insulators and extrapolation strategy for evaluating the age for polymer insulator.

The problem of roots existence for different classes of matrix such as simple and semisimple matrices from SL2(F), SL2(Z) and GL2(F) are solved. For this purpose, we first introduced the concept of an extended special linear group ESL2(F), which is generalisation of the matrix group SL2(F), where F is arbitrary perfect field. The group of unimodular matrices and extended symplectic group ESp2(R) are generalised by us, their structures are found. Our criterion oriented on a general class of matrix depending of the form of minimal and characteristic polynomials, moreover a proposed criterion holds in GL2(F), where F is an arbitrary field. The method of matrix factorisation is outlined. We show that ESL2(F) is a set of all square matrix roots from SL2(F) except of that established in our root existence criterion.

Network theory as an important role in the field of electronic and electrical engineering, for example, in signal processing, networking, communication theory, etc. The branch of mathematics known as Graph theory found remarkable applications in this area of study. A topological index (TI) is a real number attached with graph networks and correlates the chemical networks with many physical and chemical properties and chemical reactivity. The Optical Transpose Interconnection System (OTIS) network has received considerable attention in recent years and has a special place among real world architectures for parallel and distributed systems. In this report, we compute redefined first, second and third Zagreb indices of OTIS swapped and OTIS biswapped networks. We also compute some Zagreb polynomials of understudy Networks.

Let $(x_n)_{n\geq 0}$ be a linear recurrence sequence of order $k\geq 2$ satisfying $$ \begin{align*}x_n=a_1x_{n-1}+a_2x_{n-2}+\dots+a_kx_{n-k}\end{align*} $$ for all integers $n\geq k$ , where $a_1,\dots ,a_k,x_0,\dots , x_{k-1}\in \mathbb {Z},$ with $a_k\neq 0$ . In 2017, Sanna posed an open question to classify primes p for which the quotient set of $(x_n)_{n\geq 0}$ is dense in $\mathbb {Q}_p$ . In a recent paper, we showed that if the characteristic polynomial of the recurrence sequence has a root $\pm \alpha $ , where $\alpha $ is a Pisot number and if p is a prime such that the characteristic polynomial of the recurrence sequence is irreducible in $\mathbb {Q}_p$ , then the quotient set of $(x_n)_{n\geq 0}$ is dense in $\mathbb {Q}_p$ . In this article, we answer the problem for certain linear recurrence sequences whose characteristic polynomials are reducible over $\mathbb {Q}$ .

In this paper, the analysis of cyclotomic coset has been done for construction of Boolean functions. Boolean function used in cryptographic systems should have good cryptographic properties against standard or fast algebraic attacks. The cyclotomic coset plays very important role in cryptography. By using cyclotomic coset leader and minimal polynomial, we construct more balanced Boolean function. In this paper, cryptographic properties; balancedness, algebraic-degree, algebraic-immunity and non-linearity are also defined in preliminaries.

In polynomial interpolation, the choice of the polynomial basis and the location of the interpolation points play an important role numerically, even more so in the multivariate case. We explore the concept of spherical orthogonality for multivariate polynomials in more detail on the disk. We focus on two items: on the one hand the construction of a fully orthogonal cartesian basis for the space of multivariate polynomials starting from this sequence of spherical orthogonal polynomials, and on the other hand the connection between these orthogonal polynomials and the Lebesgue constant in multivariate polynomial interpolation on the disk. We point out the many links of the two topics under discussion with the existing literature. The new results are illustrated with an example of polynomial interpolation and approximation on the unit disk. The numerical example is also compared with the popular radial basis function interpolation.

Matrix play an important role in analyzing most complex problems for instance, it is used to find the production level in describing the quantum mechanics of atomic structure, relationship and even used in plotting complicated dance steps. Similarly, it is used to keep track of coefficient of linear transformation structure of complicated systems and also used to describe linear equation. However, making use of the simplex method makes the optimization problem very easy to interpret. Matrix theory is a branch of mathematics which enables the use of linear programming to obtain solutions to problem in the economics sector. The use of the simplex method makes it easier in economics computation where cost and profits can be calculated. The objectives of this study are to investigate the application matrices and linear programming in economics and to reveal the techniques of applying matrix in solving economics problems. The use of matrix in various field of study especially economic is very necessary. The simplex method which is now on interactive computation procedure has more advantage over other matrix methods such that, it can be used to solve linear optimization problems whose constraints are inequalities while Crammer’s rule and Jacobian’s method are used in solving systems of linear equations. This study reported that the use of the simplex method makes it easier to interpret economics and business results earlier. In addition, economists need to make use of matrix in work in the computation of economic theories. The study found that economists could also make use of equation to represent the relationship between economics variables. Graphs are drawn to illustrate the nature of this relationship. The authors also reported that matrixes could be used by economists in solving demand and supply challenges and also through the use of equations to find the equilibrium price of goods. The authors suggested that matrix should be use by the mathematicians to go into the economy of the nation. Read moreNewton Algebraic Iteration and Newton-Structured Algebraic Iteration
Newton iteration is a fundamental tool of computer algebra. We specify this iteration for the general problem of algebraic rootfinding and apply it first to the solution of some important problems of computations with polynomials and integers. Then it is applied to computations with general and structured matrices M: we compute the characteristic polynomial det(xI — M), the minimum polynomial, the inverse M−1, and the Krylov matrix K(M, v, q) (for a vector v and a positive integer q). The matrix computation algorithms are fast (although not always superfast) and allow most effective parallelization. For the inversion of matrices filled with integers or rational numbers, Newton's algebraic iteration enables dramatic decrease of the precision of the computations. If in addition, the input matrix is structured, then the algorithm reaches the superfast level in terms of its bit-operation complexity, which is nearly linear in the bit-complexity of the representation of the output. That is, Newton's algebraic iteration nearly reaches optimality. The approach requires computations modulo a random prime and its powers, to avoid singularities. For some problems the algorithm is nearly optimal also in terms of arithmetic complexity. At the end of the chapter, in particular in Exercise 7.15, we briefly recall some advanced techniques that yield effective parallelization of the superfast sequential computations with integer Toeplitz-like matrices.KeywordsFormal Power SeriesMinimum PolynomialInteger MatrixInteger MatriceKrylov SpaceThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. A Pisot numeration system [Formula: see text] for [Formula: see text] is one where the sequence of positive integers [Formula: see text], with [Formula: see text], is generated by a recurrence whose polynomial is the minimal polynomial of a Pisot number. The Zeckendorf numeration [Formula: see text] is the simplest such example. We define generalised equations of [Formula: see text]-Mahler type, and we show that if a sequence over a commutative ring is [Formula: see text]-regular, then it is the sequence of coefficients of a series which is a solution of a [Formula: see text]-Mahler equation. Conversely, if the [Formula: see text]-Mahler equation is isolating, then its solutions define [Formula: see text]-regular sequences. This is a generalisation of results of Becker and Dumas. We provide an example to show that there exist non-isolating [Formula: see text]-Mahler equations whose solutions do not define [Formula: see text]-regular sequences. Our proof yields a new construction of weighted automata that generate classical [Formula: see text]-regular sequences. Our results can be generalised to numeration systems generated by recurrences whose characteristic polynomial is the minimal polynomial of a Pisot number.
