UNCERTAIN LINGUISTIC PRIORITIZED AGGREGATION OPERATORS AND THEIR APPLICATION TO MULTIPLE ATTRIBUTE GROUP DECISION MAKING

The location of the electric vehicle charging station is deemed to be a multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) issue involving many experts and many conflicting attributes. In practical MAGDM issues, the information of uncertain and fuzzy cognitive decision is well-depicted by linguistic term sets (LTSs). These LTSs could be simply shifted into the probabilistic linguistic sets (PLTSs). In such paper, we design some novel probabilistic linguistic weighted Dice similarity measures (PLWDSM) and the probabilistic linguistic weighted generalized Dice similarity measures (PLWGDSM). Subsequently, the PLWGDSM-based MAGDM methods are presented under PLTSs. In the end, a practical case which concerns about the location planning of electric vehicle charging stations is offered to demonstrate the proposed PLWGDSM’s applicability and advantages.

To better deal with imprecise and uncertain information in decision making, the definition of linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy sets (LIFSs) is introduced, which is characterized by a linguistic membership degree and a linguistic nonmembership degree, respectively. To compare any two linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy values (LIFVs), the score function and accuracy function are defined. Then, based ont-norm andt-conorm, several aggregation operators are proposed to aggregate linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy information, which avoid the limitations in exiting linguistic operation. In addition, the desired properties of these linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operators are discussed. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method in multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM).

We propose the interval grey uncertain linguistic correlated ordered arithmetic averaging (IGULCOA) operator and the induced interval grey uncertain linguistic correlated ordered arithmetic averaging (I-IGULCOA) operator based on the correlation properties of the Choquet integral and the interval grey uncertain linguistic variables to investigate the multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems, in which both the attribute weights and the expert weights are correlative. Firstly, the relative concepts of interval grey uncertain linguistic variables are defined and the operation rules between the two interval grey uncertain linguistic variables are established. Then, two new aggregation operators: the interval grey uncertain linguistic correlated ordered arithmetic averaging (IGULCOA) operator and the induced interval grey uncertain linguistic correlated ordered arithmetic averaging (I-IGULCOA) operator are developed and some desirable properties of the I-IGULCOA operator are studied, such as commutativity, idempotency, monotonicity, and boundness. Furthermore, the IGULCOA and I-IGULCOA operators based approach is developed to solve the MAGDM problems, in which both the attribute weights and the expert weights are correlative and the attribute values take the form of the interval grey uncertain linguistic variables. Finally, an illustrative example is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.

An intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) is a valuable tool to execute uncertain and indeterminate information. IFSs are more suitable to identify decision-maker’s evaluation data in decision-making problems. Intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operators (AOs) are of enormous consequences in multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problems with an intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Consequently, the main impacts of this article are: firstly, to instigate various new novel generalized power AOs based on Schweizer-Sklar operational rules for IFS. Secondly, the study aims to discuss characteristics and particular cases of AOs. The core edge of proposed AOs is that they can eradicate the influence of uncomfortable data which could be too high or too low, making them more admirable for efficiently solving more and more complex MAGDM problems. Thirdly, we instigate two new algorithms to deal with MAGDM established on the generalized Schweizer-Sklar power AOs. Lastly, we appertain the anticipated method and algorithms to health care waste treatment technology selection (HCW-TT) to show the competence of the anticipated method and algorithms. The prevailing novelties of these items are duplex. Firstly, new generalized AOs established on Schweizer-Sklar operational rules are initiated for IFNs. Secondly, two new approaches for IF MAGDM are initiated, one for known decision-makers (DMs) and attributes weights, while the other for unknown DMs and attributes weights.

Multiple attribute group decision making methods based on intuitionistic linguistic power generalized aggregation operators

This paper investigates multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) with hesitant fuzzy preference information, which is a significantly import issue to be deeply studied in management and industrial engineering. Firstly, simultaneously considering optimistic and pessimistic attitudinal preference information, an improved distance measure for hesitant fuzzy set is defined. Then, utilizing the newly defined distance measure, a hesitant fuzzy multiple attribute group decision making approach based on TOPSIS method is constructed, which can effectively avoid high complexity of aggregating hesitant fuzzy information in traditional methods. Further, an application study on parts supplier selection has verified the practically and effectiveness of developed methods.

Probabilistic uncertain linguistic sets (PULTSs) have extensively been employed in multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM)problem. The QUALIFLEX method, which is relatively a novel MAGDM technique, aims to obtain the optimal alternative. This paper proposes the probabilistic uncertain linguistic QUALIFLEX (PUL-QUALIFLEX) method with CRITIC method. To show the effectiveness of the designed method, an application is given for green supplier selection and the derived results are compared with some existing methods. Thus, the advantage of this proposed method is that it is simple to understand and easy to compute. The proposed method can also contribute to the selection of suitable alternative successfully in other selection issues.

Multiple attribute group decision‐making (MAGDM) issues may involve quantitative and qualitative attributes. In inconsistent and indeterminate decision‐making issues, current assessment information of quantitative and qualitative attributes with respect to alternatives only contains either numerical neutrosophic values or linguistic neutrosophic values as the single information expression. However, existing neutrosophic techniques cannot perform the mixed information denotation and aggregation operations of numerical neutrosophic values and linguistic neutrosophic values in neutrosophic decision‐making issues. To solve the puzzles, this article presents the information denotation, aggregation operations, and MAGDM models of single‐valued neutrosophic and linguistic neutrosophic hybrid sets/elements (SVNLNHSs/SVNLHEs) as new techniques to perform MAGDM issues with quantitative and qualitative attributes in the environment of SVNLNHEs. In this study, we first propose a SVNLNHS/SVNLNHE notion that consists of a single‐valued neutrosophic element (SVNE) for the quantitative argument and a linguistic neutrosophic element (LNE) for the qualitative argument. According to a linguistic and neutrosophic conversion function and its inverse conversion function, we present some basic operations of single‐valued neutrosophic elements and linguistic neutrosophic elements, the SVNLNHE weighted arithmetic mean (SVNLNHEWAMN) and SVNLNHE weighted geometric mean (SVNLNHEWGMN) operators (forming SVNEs), and the SVNLNHEWAML and SVNLNHEWGML operators (forming LNEs). Next, MAGDM models are established based on the SVNLNHEWAMN and SVNLNHEWGMN operators or the SVNLNHEWAML and SVNLNHEWGML operators to realize MAGDM issues with single‐valued neutrosophic and linguistic neutrosophic hybrid information, and then their applicability and availability are indicated through an illustrative example in the SVNLNHE circumstance. By comparison with the existing techniques, our new techniques reveal obvious advantages in the mixed information denotation, aggregation algorithms, and decision‐making methods in handling MAGDM issues with the quantitative and qualitative attributes in the setting of SVNLNHSs.

The paper’s aims are to present a novel concept of linguistic interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy set (LIVPFS) or called a linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic type-2 fuzzy set, which is a robust and trustworthy tool, and to accomplish the imprecise information while solving the decision-making problems. The presented LIVPFS is a generalization of the linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy set, by characterizing the membership and non-membership degrees as the interval-valued linguistic terms to represent the uncertain information. To explore the study, we firstly define some basic operational rules, score and accuracy functions, and the ordering relations of LIVPFS with a brief study of the desirable properties. Based on the stated operational laws, we proposed several weighted averages and geometric aggregating operators to aggregate the linguistic interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy information. The fundamental inequalities between the proposed operators and their properties are discussed in detail. Finally, a multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) algorithm is promoted to solve the group decision-making problems with uncertain information using linguistic features and the proposed operators. Also, the illustration of the stated algorithm is given through several numerical examples and compared their performance with the results of the existing algorithms. Based on the stated MAGDM algorithm and the suitable operators, the decision-makers’ can be selected their best alternatives with their own attitude character towards optimism or pessimism choice. The presented LIVPFS is an extension of the several existing sets and is more generalized to utilize the uncertain and imprecise information with a wider range of information. Based on the presented aggregation operators, a decision-maker can select the desired one as per their choices to access the finest alternatives.

The demand of electrical energy has developed considerably as the population growth and automation in factories are still increasing. The fast changing market has resulted in the intensive increase in the manufacturing activity that has further increased the energy demands of the production activities. Solar power has therefore come up as potential remedy to this demand. Nevertheless, in case of manufacturing companies, the process of choosing, installing, and maintaining appropriate solar panel systems is a complicated one particularly when several criteria and different hierarchies of decision-makers are concerned. Further, each phase in the lifecycle of a solar panel system, such as analysis, installation, operation and decommissioning should be addressed with much care. This means that the manufacturers of solar panels should have total answers to every step. In such real-life scenarios, the multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) is an effective decision-making tool to deal with uncertain and imprecise information. Aggregation operators (AOs), which are some of the tools in MAGDM that are most commonly studied, can be of specific use in the integration of different types of evaluations. We consider the theory of N-cubic fuzzy sets (NCFSs) and its fundamental operations in this work, as well as introduce a new type of aggregation operators N-cubic fuzzy interaction aggregation operators (NCFIAOs) to describe the relations between different expert opinions in uncertainty. Based on the NCFS framework, the following specific averaging operators are proposed: the NCF interaction weighted average (NCFIWA), NCF interaction ordered weighted average (NCFIOWA) and NCF interaction hybrid weighted average (NCFIHWA), each having its operational laws. To illustrate the usefulness of the proposed operators in a real-life situation, we use them to approach a real solar panel selection problem, which is one of the areas of critical concern in the national energy policy and sustainable development. One of the numerical examples will be used to describe the decision-making (DM) process, and the comparative analysis with the existing AOs will prove the effectiveness, strength, and competitiveness of the suggested approaches.

The rapid development of global information technology, especially the emergence and widespread application of the Internet, has enabled information technology to quickly penetrate into various fields of the economy and society. Informatization and networking have become important features of today’s era. However, while people enjoy the tremendous progress brought by information technology to humanity, the openness and security vulnerabilities of computer networks have also made network information security issues increasingly prominent. The invasion of hackers, the continuous generation and spread of computer virus, and the rampant use of rogue software have all caused great economic losses to individuals, enterprises, and countries. The computer network security evaluation is a multiple-attribute group decision making (MAGDM). Then, the TODIM and TOPSIS method has been established to deal with MAGDM issues. The interval neutrosophic sets (INSs) are established as an effective tool for representing uncertain information during the computer network security evaluation. In this manuscript, the interval neutrosophic number TODIM-TOPSIS (INN-TODIM-TOPSIS) method is established to solve the MAGDM under INSs. Finally, a numerical example study for computer network security evaluation is established to validate the INN-TODIM-TOPSIS method. The main research contribution of this paper is established: (1) the INN-TODIM-TOPSIS method is put up for MAGDM with INSs; (2) the INN-TODIM-TOPSIS method is put up for computer network security evaluation and were compared with existing methods; (3) Through the detailed comparison, it is evident that INN-TODIM-TOPSIS method for computer network security evaluation proposed in this paper are effective.

With the increasingly fierce competition in the market, the virtual enterprises are becoming a realistic choice of enterprises. As a new business mode, the virtual enterprises bring tremendous opportunities to improve the competitiveness of enterprises to a certain degree. However, without enough practical and proper theoretical experience, the failure probability of virtual enterprises is high. The virtual enterprises have certain advantages, but the complexity of their organization makes the uncertainties increasing, the risk analysis control is difficult and the risk management is complex. In order to achieve smooth operation and expected profits, the virtual enterprises must succeed to avoid the risks. Therefore, the risk management for virtual enterprises is significant in theoretical and practical research. In this paper, we investigate the 2-tuple linguistic multiple attribute group decision making problems with incomplete weight information, some basic concepts and operational laws of 2-tuple linguistic variables are introduced. A model based on the entropy weight method, by which the attribute weights can be determined, is established. According to the traditional ideas of grey relational analysis (GRA), the optimal alternative(s) is determined by calculating the linguistic degree of grey relation of every alternative and 2-tuple linguistic positive ideal solution and 2-tuple linguistic negative ideal solution. It is based on the concept that the optimal alternative should have the largest degree of grey relation from positive ideal solution and the smallest degree of grey relation from the negative ideal solution. Finally, an illustrative example for evaluating the virtual enterprise's risk is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.

Firstly, some operational laws of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, score function and accuracy function of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are introduced. Then a new aggregation operator called induced intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (I-IFOWA) operator is proposed, and some desirable properties of the I-IFOWA operators are studied, such as commutativity, idempotency and monotonicity. An I-IFOWA and IFWA (intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging) operators-based approach is developed to solve the MAGDM under the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Finally, an illustrative example is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.

The article investigates the multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems in which the attribute values take the form of triangular fuzzy information. Motivated by the ideal of power aggregation, in this paper some power aggregation operators for aggregating triangular fuzzy information are developed and then applied in order to develop some models for multiple attribute group decision making with triangular fuzzy information. Finally, some illustrative examples are given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.
