The article analyses the publicity of the activities of the statutory organization in social networks. The theoretical part discusses the concept of activity publicity, the concept of social networks, introduces the activities of the Lithuanian army and the regulation of its publicity. Empirical qualitative research revealed that the activities of the Duke Margiris Infantry Battalion are publicized on Facebook and Instagram. The collected public posts were analysed according to three criteria: the number of likes, comments and shares of the posts. According to the content of the posts, four themes were distinguished: "combat training", "commemorations/formations", "civic education" and "visits". The obtained research results imply recommendations: in the case of the possibility of providing more visual content in the posts; to use the functions of the social network Facebook to create messages about upcoming events ("event", "story") and to remind about upcoming events by sharing messages. Keywords: publicity of military activities, publicity channels and means, social networks, publicity content and methods, feedback.

Our perception is facilitated if we know where and when a sensory stimulus will occur. This phenomenon is accounted for by spatial and temporal orienting of attention. Whereas spatial orienting of attention has repeatedly been shown to involve spatially specific modulations of ongoing oscillations within sensory cortex, it is not clear to what extent anticipatory modulations of ongoing oscillations are involved in temporal orienting of attention. To address this, we recorded magnetoencephalography while human participants performed a tactile discrimination task. We cued participants to the left or the right hand, after which a tactile stimulus was presented at one of several fixed temporal delays. We thus assessed whether and how ongoing sensorimotor oscillations are modulated during tactile anticipation. We provide evidence for three phenomena. First, orienting to an upcoming tactile event involves a spatially specific contralateral suppression of alpha- and beta-band oscillations within sensorimotor cortex. Second, this modulation is deployed with temporal specificity, and this is more pronounced for beta-band compared with alpha-band oscillations. Third, the contralateral suppression of beta-band oscillations is associated with faster responses to subsequently presented tactile stimuli. Control measures showed that these results cannot be explained by motor planning or execution. We conclude that the modulation of ongoing oscillations within sensory cortex reflects a unifying mechanism underlying both spatial and temporal orienting of attention.

German politics have not attracted much attention in the United States since the fall of the Berlin Wall and other spectacular events marking the end of the cold war. On occasion, there are sensational accounts harking back to the Nazi era, but reports of neo-Nazi activities and renewed religious persecution are misleading, because they tend to ignore that in this day and age politics in Germany are solidly rooted in democratic institutions, beliefs, and practices. Two upcoming events are, however, likely to get the attention of the American media. The first is Germany's national election on 27 September 1998 that could mark the end of Chancellor Helmut Kohl's and his government's long rule; the second follows a few months later on 1 January 1999, when Germans will start to move from the long comfortable certainties of a sound national currency to the uncertainties of the new untried one of the European Monetary Union (EU). After the parliamentary election the German Bundestag will no longer meet in Bonn but in Berlin, once again the capital of the leading country in Europe. Its home will be the more than 100-year-old former Reichstag or parliament, torched when Hitler came to power, almost totally destroyed in World War II, and more recently restored and refurbished for a new era of German politics. Just before the job got under way, two American conceptual artists were allowed to briefly conceal the remaining shell of the massive nineteenthcentury structure by draping it entirely in silken-colored fabric. The spectacle gave the crowds that flocked to see it no clues as to what the home of their legislature would be like in the future. For the transition from the politics of

Objective: The present study aimed to estimate the prevalence of post-partum blues and investigate the correlates ofthe disorder. An additional objective was to study the correlation of blues with subsequent development of psychiatricdisorders. Methods: A prospective study design was adopted and a total of 73 women were included. Those who developedmaternity blues were compared with those who hadn’t on multiple socio-demographic, obstetric, psychiatric and psychosocialvariables. Results: The prevalence of post-partum blues was estimated to be 28.8 %. Of the women with blues 14.2% went on todevelop post-partum depression whereas none of the women who had not experienced blues developed depression. Itwas found that there was a significant correlation between post-partum blues and the following variables in decreasingorder of significance: poor marital quality, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder, past history of psychiatric illness, higherscores on stressful life events in the past one year, fear of labour and upcoming events, perinatal complications to themother, unplanned pregnancy and family history of psychiatric illness. Conclusions: The study highlights the importance of post-partum blues as these women are at higher risk of developingpost-partum depression. Psycho-social variables that can contribute to the development of blues such as stressful eventsexperienced during pregnancy and poor marital quality should be assessed and interventions planned accordingly toreduce the impact of these on women.

Event-based social networks (EBSNs) provide convenient online platforms for users to organize, attend and share social events. Understanding users’ social influences in social networks can benefit many applications, such as social recommendation and social marketing. In this paper, we focus on the problem of predicting users’ social influences on upcoming events in EBSNs. We formulate this prediction problem as the estimation of unobserved entries of the constructed user-event social influence matrix, where each entry represents the influence value of a user on an event. In particular, we define a user’s social influence on a given event as the proportion of the user’s friends who are influenced by him/her to attend the event. To solve this problem, we present a combined collaborative filtering model, namely, Matrix Factorization with Event Neighborhood (MF-EN) model, by incorporating event-based neighborhood method into matrix factorization. Due to the fact that the constructed social influence matrix is very sparse and the overlap values in the matrix are few, it is challenging to find reliable similar event neighbors using the widely adopted similarity measures (e.g., Pearson correlation and Cosine similarity). To address this challenge, we propose an additional information based neighborhood discovery (AID) method by considering three event-specific features in EBSNs. The parameters of our MF-EN model are determined by minimizing the associated regularized squared error function through stochastic gradient descent. We conduct a comprehensive performance evaluation on real-world datasets collected from DoubanEvent. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed model compared to several alternatives.
