This study aims to identify current traditional retail business processes (As-is), align, and integrate their business processes based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This ERP implementation minimizes recordkeeping errors and saves time supporting traditional retail businesses. The design of a new business process (To-Be) was built considering the ERP business process. This study used the system development process method of ERP, which includes the stages of planning, requirements analysis, design, detailed design, and implementation. In addition, a gap/fit analysis was carried out to compare the current business process analysis (As-Is) and the proposed business process (To-Be) after using the ERP Odoo system. This study found that the business processes at AH Mart traditional retail require several changes (re-engineering), from manual and unintegrated business processes to a computerized and integrated model between divisions. Differences in business processes that occur at AH Mart are in the warehouse, cashier, and treasurer. In the warehouse, the implementation of stock-opname with ERP can use barcodes, so the product data is neatly recorded in the system, and the number of incoming and outgoing products can be appropriately detected. The cashier uses a barcode system, and the total calculation of customer payments is automatically accumulated. Making financial reports by the treasurer is more effective because the report data for each division is already stored in the same database. This research provides insight into changing from conventional business processes to business processes based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). ERP business process can be adapted by traditional retail in the modern era.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software integrates all functional areas of an organization. It is a business process management software that provides an integrated view of core business processes using common databases. It enables real-time availability of information related to entire organization thus paving the way for faster and scientific decisions. However, ERP implementation and subsequent upgradation necessitate a significant quantum of resources which can take place only with sincere commitment from top management. Researches prove that more than 50 % ERP implementation do not succeed due to various reasons i.e. people, process and technological. In majority of such failures, people and process issues cause more failure than technological reasons.Case ‘(In) Effectiveness of ERP at Pristine Packaging’ highlights one such failed (at least partially) implementation in a medium scale manufacturing firm. Deeper analysis of case substantiates the above conclusion that predominant factors for ERP failure are people and processes. Case also raises questions as to what business and technical strategies can be adopted by the management of PPIP at this stage when new ERP i.e. Microsoft Dynamics exhibited only 20 % improvement over the previous ERP - Microsoft Navision.

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) comprises of a commercial software package that promises the seamless integration of all the information flowing through the company-financial, accounting, human resources, supply chain and customer information. Research on the implementation of ERP in particular region like India shows that, the job of implementing an ERP is a riskier business for SMEs than for LEs, still SMEs have been receiving lesser focus on ERP from researchers than LEs. Most of the researches to be done on critical success CSFs. Many companies in India have implemented ERP to capture its benefits and still there is a lack of examining Critical Factors that contribute in the failure of ERP implementation at Indian SMEs. In this dissertation Qualitative survey based method was used to explore what are the possible critical failure factors that contribute in the failure of ERP implementation at India SMEs. A questionnaire is used to collect the data from personal observations and interviews with people those who are having experience of ERP implementation in Indian SMEs. In this study, it was found that an ERP implementation at Indian SMEs is not exactly same from the ERP implementations found in the existing literature for the worldwide LEs. When discussing the critical failure for an ERP implementation at Indian SMEs, it was found that although the are more or less same but the importance of in term of their priorities (importance) are defiantly different from the ERP implementation of LEs.

Contemporary organizations rely on ERP systems to implement their business processes. Moreover, there is a high demand from companies for ERP systems because it is an effective management system that optimizes productivity. It is important for next generation managers to understand what ERP systems are as well as the impacts for an organisation to implement an ERP system. This reliance on ERP indicates the importance of studying security issues and requirements in an ERP Environment. Information Security is both a theoretical and practical discipline and can vary from a technical aspect to the management aspect. Educational institutions must educate students to concepts, strategies, and tools that promote security of ERP systems so that after studying the certain course students understand technical, technological, management, and human security problems, identify and respond to information security challenges in ERP systems, evaluate and implement security solutions and tools to protect ERP systems against risks, and finally design information security policies, and evaluate and apply organizational security objectives. This chapter examines how universities and educational institutions are responding to current educational needs by integrating an enterprise resource planning (ERP) security course to current curriculum programs and propose a course framework.

The term "corporate governance" has recently gained popularity in the business world. It is regarded as a moral obligation. It entails promoting adherence to the law in letter and spirit and illustrating ethical behavior. Corporate governance is a critical procedure that influences an organization's financial performance. The main aim of this paper is to investigate the impact of corporate governance on the financial performance of the leading IT sector companies in India. For this purpose five leading IT sector companies (on the basis of market share) have been selected namely TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra. The present study is based on Secondary Data. Data of five years (from 2018-19 to 2022-23) have been analyzed through panel data regression. In this study, ROA and ROE are taken as performance indicators and Board Size, Board Composition, CEO Duality, Promoter’s Holding, Size and Age have been selected as independent variables. The outcome of regression analysis showed that only promoters holding and Size have significant positive influence on the ROA and ROE whereas, Age is having significant negative impact on them. Further, it is also concluded that corporate governance variables such as board size, board composition and duality have no significant impact on the performance of the leading IT companies in India.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) adoption involves initiating the appropriate business process changes and information technology upgrades to enhance enterprise performance, quality, costs, flexibility and responsiveness. While the number of articles in ERP implementation is substantial, limited attention has been given to the ERP adoption by Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Motivated by the organisation fit of the ERP concept, we propose a structured methodology for ERP system evaluation and selection which can be easily used by SMEs, as it provides the necessary information for their decision-making process. This article describes the ERP evaluation and selection methodology followed by an industrial Greek company. The proposed methodology consists of a framework built upon six imperatives, which generate a number of ERP objectives materialised through a set of levers. The analysis results in the identification of tailor-made ERP objectives, which, in turn, are used in a multiple criteria model as part of the decision-making process to select, from a list of alternatives, a suitable ERP vendor.

The current low success level of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation stimulates the rise of research to find the critical success factor of it. One of the challenges of ERP implementation is to find a ‘fit’ between business and system requirements. It is claimed that standardizing business processes to follow the ERP system will positively impact organizations to follow the best practice process. However, there is another challenge that organization should not reengineer their business process to fit the ERP system, but rather modify or customize the ERP system to match their business process. This belief argues that standardizing business processes is not the right solution that applies to every organization since it can degrade an organization’s competitive advantages. Based on the background, the research aimed to construct a comprehensive review to succeed in implementing an ERP system, particularly on ERP modification, using a systematic literature review method. It was done by collecting and analyzing scientific publications related to ERP critical success factors with special attention to system modification. The literature review results in a comprehensive explanation of ERP modification. It includes elaborating on different types of misfit and customization to cultivate the understanding of ERP modification, a flowchart to analyze misfit to help the organization to evaluate modification requests, and critical success factors of modified ERP implementation.

Linguistic performance evaluation for an ERP system with link failures

The growing of IT in companies could be explained by the promise of reducing costs and rationalizing the organizational processes. This is made possible, for example, by the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that required a process‟s knowledge from the company managers. Thus, the comprehension of the possible repercussions by the adoption or adjustment of an ERP system has became a relevant field for research. It is necessary to measure not only the impact on the activities but also on document‟s utilization, computer programs, risks, databases and other items that support the activities which are part of each process in the company. In this context, business process modeling could be use as a tool to assess the impacts caused by the adoption of an IMS in the organization‟s processes. Although several authors discuss the consequences of implementing an ERP, there are a few that describe the impacts on the business processes. This absence could challenge the arguments to support or criticism of an ERP‟s adoption, specifically, or diverse implementations, in general. Consequently, this paper intends to describe the impacts caused by the adoption of an ERP by using a theoretical framework from business processes engineering, as a general approach, and ARIS methodology (architecture of integrated information systems), as a specific one. The outcomes obtained were promising and brought concrete possibilities for replications of the methodology. Aspects such as risk management by using processes modeling and implementing ERP together still require to be studied in depth.

 Abstract—In last couples of year, the usage of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) has been applied by the organizations to support an integrated and real time business process. Basically it can be applied not only in a company but also in education institution such as school. This paper will try to provide an ERP's conceptual model to support business process at school. It is pictured using Unified Modeling Language (UML) notation with architecture model 4+1 View approach. Hopefully this architecture model can help analysis and design for business process at school whole fully. ERP's conceptual model could help ERP School application developer to understand a clearer ERP's system and to develop it easily. Adopt the ERP school model can gain more effective ERP system.

The continuous advancement of technology requires every business sector to constantly adapt. One of the most widely used technologies in the business sector is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, which integrates all core business processes. ERP software comes in various forms, each with its own strengths and unique features. For this study, we selected Odoo ERP as the solution platform to address the challenges faced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Odoo ERP was chosen because it is considered more user friendly and accessible for various types of businesses, including MSMEs. This research aims to implement the Odoo ERP system for the MSME Optik Family , which has been experiencing issues with inventory recording that often results in inaccuracies and disrupt several business processes. The study begins by designing Porter’s Value Chain Model to identify the potential application of Odoo ERP modules in the company’s primary activities. The developed system is then tested using the Black Box Testing method to assess the functionality of each module. The designed Odoo ERP system includes modules for product ordering, inventory storage, and invoicing. These three modules enable realtime inventory monitoring and provide accurate historical data. Testing results confirm that the implemented modules function properly and significantly accelerate the previously manual inventory recording processes. The improved speed and accuracy in stock data recording contribute to faster, more efficient, and more precise operational activities for the optical business.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are usually adopted through two major options: cloud computing or on-premise infrastructure. The issues related to hardware, servers, implementation costs, and facilities, which are necessary to run on-premise ERP systems, are rather great for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs). The purpose of this research is to highlight the factors influencing cloud ERP adoption among SMEs. The technological, organisational, and environmental (TOE) model will be used as a theoretical base. This qualitative, exploratory study gathers data from 13 different SMEs and cloud ERP service providers through semi-structured interviews, focusing on SMEs in Jordan. According to our results, support from both service providers and top management within the company play an important role in whether a firm adopts cloud ERP services, in addition to a number of other factors at varying rates. Research findings can be used by service providers and business owners to enhance their approach to cloud ERP by showing the reasons why some SMEs chose to adopt this technology and others did not. Cloud ERP providers need to intensify their efforts to build a progressive environment for their services that will eliminate any ambiguity regarding this type of technology.

This study focuses on the impact of enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation on supply chain performance. The focus of ERP is optimisation of resources within the business, whereas the focus of supply chain management is optimisation of resources within the supply chain. ERP integrates all the business processes in order to improve efficiency of the organisation. This study is an effort to analyse how ERP implementation impacts the performance of the supply chain. The research study is based on case study method. The method uses semi structured interviews with selected professionals from different sector. The research question was to find out the impact of ERP on the performance of the supply chain. The literature review and semi structure interviews clearly support the fact that supply chain performance is enhanced and improved with the implementation of ERP.

Process mining techniques provide capabilities for discovering the real business process flows from data, and compare expected and actual behaviors. Actual behaviors, in many cases, are obtained from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other enterprise information systems transaction logs. These transaction logs provide valuable insight into the companies' business processes. They traditionally hold a large amount of data in a set of conceptual documents related to each other through one-to-many and many-to-many relations, where information changes occur in transactions. Underlying data model gives rise to complex interactions between multiple data objects without a clear notion of a unique case identifier in an isolated process. However, enterprise process mining techniques can be applied only to event logs containing event data related to one notion of process instances. Within ERP systems, such event logs are not explicitly given and substantial domain knowledge is required to select the right data from multiple tables in relational databases. In order to respond to this need, in this paper we present an abstract syntax of domain specific language (DSL) for facilitating the extraction of an appropriate dataset from ERP systems by domain experts, and its conversion into event log based on XES IEEE standard. It is developed specifically to describe behavior over complex data from ERP systems in terms of multiple interacting artifacts. The goal is to align the data and process perspectives, supporting extraction of complex ambiguous cases, affected by data convergence and data divergence problems. The basic concepts of the language as well as principles are discussed in depth in this paper.

Accounting Information System (AIS) is a system that processes financial and nonfinancial transactions that directly affect the organizations operations processing of financial activities such as changes to customers' names and addresses to keep such files current. The purpose of this study was to illustrate the impact of top management support on accounting information systems, a case of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and, further, to analyze the impact of accounting information systems on organizational performance. Online questionnaire was the main tool used for data collection and data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, as well as while qualitative data was analyzed using thematic analysis. The study established that in the 3 university ERP had already been adopted and was being implemented. Also the Top Management supported the implementation of ERP. The ERP system was not adequately utilized to realize its full potential. It was extensively used on matters related to finance. Especially students finance and managing of the universities payrolls. The systems had not yet been extensively used on managing human resource matters and communication that it had capacity to achieve much. The findings of this study are important as they provide insight that could awaken the institutions that had adopted the ERP systems on how they could optimally benefit from the system. It also highlights the role played by top management on implementation of a new system like ERP. Finally it gives knowledge for fellow scholars interested in the field of Accounting Information Systems generally.
