Web Based Operation Instruction System Using Wearable Computer

In order to optimize the application quality of the English auxiliary teaching system, shorten the system response time and CPU utilization, design a Web-based college English auxiliary teaching system, and test its application effect. Using the B/S mode in the Web, install the developed auxiliary teaching system on the server of the control center. The B/S function modules in the system software include the presentation layer, application service layer, and resource layer. Based on this, design the user management module and college English auxiliary teaching functions and allocate bandwidth to the platform resource transmission rate to maximize network utility, reduce platform data transmission failures, and optimize the quality of English auxiliary teaching. The experimental results demonstrate that the system based on the B/S multilayer structure passed all of its tests, showing that it is relatively robust and capable of meeting the needs of college English teaching aids for students and teachers while also achieving the desired outcomes. The teaching information communication delay and response time of the designed system are shorter, and the central processing unit (CPU) utilization rate is also lower.

From the very genesis of management education as a formal discipline of study during early nineteenth century, it has undergone many changes in terms of content development, curriculum development and pedagogy. The systems prevailing in India preach the methodology of classroom lecture with intermittent or limited use of technology tools to impart education. However, under the present setting, the study partakes to find out the perception of students or learners and academicians and corporate or providers of management education towards a winning pedagogy from the myriad of traditional classroom and e-learning pedagogies suiting individual’s learning requirement resulting in higher learning gain. Traditional classroom teaching and Web-based instructional system (WBIS) of e-learning pedagogy have contributed to identify the variables of management education in this paper. From the observed variables, it was revealed that respondents preferred WBIS over traditional school of thought and another dimension of management education, that is, blended learning involving characteristics from the other two schools surfaced as the third factor.

The subject of design and technology was introduced to the curriculum for high schools in China 10 years ago. However, the teaching and learning of this subject have become difficult for both teachers and students because there is a lack of qualified teachers with design background to deliver this subject in a way to stimulate the learning interests of the students. This paper presents a research that is aimed at improving this situation by integrating the teaching and learning of design and technology within a computational environment as part of social networks sites. The purpose is to enable the collaboration among the students and interaction between teachers and students. In this research, a series of investigations were conducted, by following through several taught subjects in design and technology in prominent high schools in China. Based on these investigations, a theoretical framework for web-based design learning and teaching system in the style of social networking is developed, implemented and tested, emphasizing three features of design: innovation, collaboration, and interaction. This framework has been tested among high school students and teachers in a high school in Nanjing. It identified and validated necessary techniques and design features required to make an education-related social networking site effective and affective for the students and teachers. The results of this research indicated that social networking sites have significantly positive values in design education, especially for the collaboration and interaction on the subject of design and technology.

Based on the analysis of the broad band wireless communication, we design a wireless terrain network with some different subnet of satellite, microwave, LTE, and so on. OPNET provides a virtual network environment, through the modeling of the network. We give the simulation flow of the wireless communication. It designs the station node and satellite node, and builds a simulation system for the broad band wireless communication by OPNET. According the wireless communication topology, it realizes the network simulation system with six zone subnets which contain six single users and two communication vehicles. It contains the communication satellites which use the transparent transponders. The simulation system can display the dynamic route by the simulation system. It also can analyze the performance and efficiency of the wireless system with the parameters, such as: throughput, delay, processing delay, Packet Loss Ratio. It can use “Failure Recovery” module in the simulation system and set the parameters and analyze the communication system influence.

In Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, we have done overviews about the issues related to online computer labs such as Web-based teaching and various Web-based teaching systems. We have also briefly discussed technology-based courses and the technologies that can be used in the development of WBT and online computer labs. Starting from this chapter, we will discuss issues in designing and developing online computer labs for technology-based courses. The first task in designing online computer labs is to determine what type of online computer lab should be developed. It all depends on the teaching requirements. The developed computer lab should meet the needs of hands-on practice and balance the support, cost, and the complexity of technologies. This chapter provides you with a systematic way of identifying the needs of an online computer lab. In this chapter, we will discuss various approaches to decide what the teaching requirements are. We will start off with the topics related to online computer lab development process which will show you the big picture about developing online computer labs. Then, we will walk through the topics such as identifying hands-on requirements, identifying resources, and assessing costs. Investigating these topics will help you decide how big your project is, what the growth rate is, what the costs are, if there is funding for the project, and what kind of support you need to get from the computer service team. The next topic is about project planning which deals with issues such as budgeting, scheduling a time line, forming a project development team, and implementing the project. This topic helps designers to deliver an efficient plan in developing a successful online computer lab.

In the current digital era, information technology has greatly dominated the field of education, and the use of websites stands as a primary example. Websites play a crucial role in storing and conveying information. One such example is the school repository website. Having a storage medium for instructional materials can provide advantages to users, especially schools. Currently, at SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta, there is no dedicated storage for instructional materials. A single information system, Google Drive, is used to store all documents and information. The purpose of this research is to present and enhance the front-end appearance and functionality of the web-based Instructional Material Repository System. The development method employed is the Waterfall model, utilizing the Bootstrap framework and Javascript to construct a high-fidelity prototype of the system's front-end. Throughout the development process, black box testing was conducted to ensure the success of the system's functionality and usability. The testing results demonstrated that all tasks were successfully executed with a 100% success rate.

A Short Method for Building Web-Based Teaching and Learning Systems: the CPSC Experience

In a traditional classroom the intended learning outcomes have been formed according to the scope of the learning and teaching aims and also based on the structure of course program. It indicates what the learners will learn and the knowledge they will obtain at the end of the course of study. Over the past few years the trend towards a Web-based instructional system has been introduced to the learning and teaching environment. Currently there are many learning materials which are found on the Web. However, this can make it difficult for learners to choose the right study materials which would match with what learners have already learnt and what they would like to know. In this research we consider a learner competence which indicates the differing level of intended learning outcomes depending upon the context of the learners‟ performance. We propose a competence-based system for recommending study materials from the Web based on the learner‟s competences. The design of system is considered from a competence structure and we map it into a form of XML schema. By considering the schema, the system can be modifiable and reusable for other knowledge domains. Hence the system not only identifies the learner‟s competence and suggests study material links from the Web but also the developer can design the competence structure and import it into the system for the future use.

Physical layer security (PLS) in wireless communication systems has attracted extensive research attentions in recent years. Unlike cryptography-based methods applied in upper-layer in network, PLS methods are applied in physical layers and can provide information-theoretic security by utilizing the randomness of signals and wireless channels. In this survey, we provide a comprehensive review in the domain of physical layer authentication (PLA) in wireless communication systems, including the concepts, several key techniques of typical PLA architectures as well as future challenges and research trends in more sophisticated communication systems. The survey begins with an overview of the background and basic concepts of PLA, such as the general model of wireless security communication system, typical frameworks of key-based/less PLA systems, and the common attack models. We then discuss the major concerns and key techniques that are applied in PLA systems, where three types of authentication schemes are considered, i.e., the authentication based on channel information, radio-frequency and identity watermarks. Basic models and representative research results about key approaches and techniques applied to the authentication systems above are subsequently covered. Finally, the associated challenges and potential research trends of PLA in future communication systems are presented at the end of the survey paper.

Vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure wireless communications are currently under development to improve traffic efficiency and safety. The time-critical nature of road safety applications imposes the need to accurately dimension the operation and performance of wireless vehicular communication systems. Given that radio propagation modeling has been shown to importantly affect the performance of traditional mobile and wireless communication systems, this work investigates its impact on the dimensioning of traffic safety wireless vehicular communications by separately analyzing the contributions of pathloss, shadowing and fast fading.

Research into cutting-edge systems that can satisfy the rising needs for greater data rate and increased reliability is becoming more and more necessary as wireless communication technologies continue to evolve. To enhance the spectral and energy efficiencies, this study examine the performance of massive multiple input multiple output (mMIMO) communication systems using wavelet-order orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (W-OFDM). Also, a communication system was created based on W-OFDM Massive MIMO using MATLAB to model its operation. The simulated system's various stages of operation was examined through detailed analysis and its performance was compare with prior studies and practical networks on OFDM. Key performance metrics, specifically the data throughput, was evaluated to assess the effectiveness and viability of the system. The simulation results indicates that W-OFDM can achieve up to 35% reduction in peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR) compared to the traditional OFDM, with a 20% improvement in BER performance under Rayleigh fading conditions. Also, the spectral efficiency of W-OFDM mMIMO outperforms convectional OFDM by 15%, making it a viable technology for future communication networks requiring high data rates and reliability. This implies that, the analytical evaluation confirms that W-OFDM mMIMO provides substantial benefits for improving energy and spectral efficiencies in wireless communication systems, addressing the challenges of increased user demands for high spectrum. This study contributes to the understanding of MIMO systems' performance optimization, highlighting the importance of antenna configuration and cell distance. Comprehensive analysis of spectral efficiency and energy efficiency trade-offs in MIMO systems and identification of optimal antenna configuration for maximum energy efficiency, addressing some of the challenges of future wireless communication systems.

The increased availability of data and computer-aided technologies such as MRPI/II, ERP and MES system, allowing producers to be more adaptive to market dynamics and to improve production scheduling. Integration of production scheduling and computer modelling, simulation and visualization systems can be useful in the analysis of production system constraints related to the efficiency of manufacturing systems. A integration methodology based on semi-automatic model generation method for eliminating problems associated with complexity of the model and labour-intensive and time-consuming process of simulation model creation is proposed. Data mapping and data transformation techniques for the proposed method have been applied. This approach has been illustrated through examples of practical implementation of the proposed method using KbRS scheduling system and Enterprise Dynamics simulation system.

The objective of this paper is to propose a conceptual model of a virtual reference service (VRS) time estimation system that can estimate and display the time required to complete a transaction. The system will start estimating the duration before initiation of a transaction and update the estimated duration with the changing complexity of the transaction. Literature on industrial time estimation techniques and artificial-intelligence based VRS programs are reviewed to identify the gap. Four flowcharts are constructed with the aid of machine learning techniques like random forest regression and speech recognition, and natural language processing techniques like intent and entity recognition, and weighting. The pre-estimating, estimating, and post-estimating stages of the system are vividly explained with an example to enlighten the time-estimation process. The limitation of the paper is that the system is not practically developed and tested. However, developing such a system will help in transparent and unbiased transaction time estimation and assist the library professionals to manage queue time and maintain consistent timeliness. The estimated time may be used as a benchmark for evaluating different aspects of VRS. Providing quality service within the estimated time may increase the reliability and loyalty of the patrons toward the library professionals.
