The genus Nipponeurorthus Nakahara, 1958 is an endemic group of the dragon lacewing family Nevrorthidae, currently comprising 13 species from China and Japan. However, due to their rareness in nature, the species and distribution of Nipponeurorthus from China are still poorly explored. Herein we describe five new species of Nipponeurorthus from the Chinese mainland, i.e., N. ailao sp. nov. (China: Yunnan), N. flavipennis sp. nov. (China: Guangxi), N. kuanglu sp. nov. (China: Jiangxi), N. ningboensis sp. nov. (China: Zhejiang), and N. pallidipennis sp. nov. (China: Jiangsu). We also redescribe N. qinicus Yang, 1999, which has been poorly documented since its original description. A molecular delimitation of the Nipponeurorthus species based on the DNA barcodes was performed. An updated key to the species of Nipponeurorthus is also provided.

Four new species close to the Ceutorhynchus assimilis (Paykull, 1792) species group are described here: Ceutorhynchus armeniacus sp. nov. from Armenia lives on Alyssum (Brassicaceae), and is most similar to the West Palaearctic C. griseus C. Brisout de Barneville, 1869 and to C. montanus Colonnelli, 1997 from the Balkans. Ceutorhynchus crassulicola sp. nov. from the Canary Islands is related to the Palaearctic C. assimilis and the Central Asian C. confusus A. Schultze, 1903. Ceutorhynchus davidorum sp. nov. from Greece lives on Alyssum, is related to the West Palaearctic C. griseus and is also somewhat similar to the East European C. nigritulus A. Schultze, 1897. Ceutorhynchus dobrogeaensis sp. nov. from Romania lives on Lepidium perfoliatum (Brassicaceae), and is related to the East European and Central Asian C. difficilis A. Schultze, 1898 and to the Palaearctic C. assimilis.

Until now, the Australian fauna of Tetriginae has been represented predominantly by the genera Paratettix Bolívar, 1887 and Tetrix Latreille, 1802, with the latter mostly consisting of apterous species. The Australian members of these genera show remarkable morphological diversity, which prompted us to reexamine the relationships between them using cladistic analysis based on morphological characters of head and thorax. We have found that the Australian Tetrix spp. are easily separable into three distinct genera: Captivus gen. nov., Custodia gen. nov., and Enattor gen. nov. Additionally, we describe a new species of the Tetriginae genus Cyphotettix Rehn, 1952, C. ellurae sp. nov. We provide an identification key to the Australian Tetriginae genera and hypothesize that the apterous species are related to Tetrix collina Rehn, 1952.

The Osoriinae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) genera Typhloiulopsis Scheerpeltz, 1931 and Leptotyphlopsis Scheerpeltz, 1931 from the Ionian Islands (Greece) are revised based on morphology. Typhloiulopsis pavesii sp. nov. from Kérkyra is described. The three taxa of Leptotyphlopsis described from Kaligoni, Lefkàda, are considered as belonging to a single species, Leptotyphlopsis kaligoniana Scheerpeltz, 1931 (= Leptotyphlopsis jonica Scheerpeltz, 1931 syn. nov. and Leptotyphlopsis leucadiana Scheerpeltz, 1931 syn. nov.).

A new genus of Cremastinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae), Bylesia gen. nov., and its type species, B. brachyscleromamorpha sp. nov., are described from the Eastern Himalaya, Yunnan, China. The new taxa are illustrated, diagnosed, and their relationships are discussed

Based on the material collected from Toamasina, east Madagascar, we describe Anacanthiocnemis lihui sp. nov. as the second Malagasy representative of the genus Anacanthiocnemis Reuter, 1882 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae: Stenopodainae). The new species presents relatively long postocular region of head, widely separated mandibular plates, and different armatures on the profemur, that allow it to be readily distinguished from its congeners. Illustrations and COI barcode of the new species as well as an updated key to the species of Anacanthiocnemis are provided. The known distribution records of Anacanthiocnemis are summarized, showing that the species of the genus occur mainly in tropical rainforests or savannas.

An unexpected new species of the genus Aristogethes Audisio & Cline, 2009, A. pelikani sp. nov., is described from southern Oman (Arabian Peninsula). This new species appears to be morphologically rather closely related to a couple of species known from southern Africa (northern South Africa, Botswana and southern Namibia): A. eremita (Audisio, Kirk-Spriggs & Kirejtshuk, 1998) and especially A. rufofuscus (Audisio, Kirk-Spriggs & Kirejtshuk, 1998), with which it shares several morphological traits and some interesting eco-ethological adaptations; these three species are, in fact, all specialized to live in stony sub-desert environments, with phenology mostly in August-September in both areas (southern Africa and southern Arabian Peninsula); they are also all associated for larval development with sub-desertic Malvaceae: Sterculioideae of the genus Hermannia L. The new species is otherwise easily distinguished from its two southern African relatives by the peculiarly shining and coarsely punctuated elytral surface, smaller average body sizes, narrower and at base much more acutely toothed tarsal claws, and the different male and female genitalia, more like those of Aristogethes rufofuscus. The larval hostplant of the new species is represented by Hermannia (Mahernia) paniculata Franch., a small eremic southern Arabian and Northeast African species, typically growing at low altitude in stony sub-desert habitats, close to the sea. An updated and commented checklist to known species of Aristogethes is presented.

Two species of Hydrellia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (Diptera: Ephydridae) are newly described: Hydrellia dolezali sp. nov. and H. pilsna sp. nov., both from the Czech Republic. Redescriptions and new records of H. aurifer Cresson, 1932 and H. frontalis Loew, 1860 from the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom are given. The first case of sexual dimorphism in wing coloration in Hydrellia is provided.

Kojderus Magnien & Gierlasiński gen. nov., with a single species, Kojderus maximus Gierlasiński & Magnien sp. nov. (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Tessaratomidae), is described, being the first representative of the subfamily Natalicolinae in Madagascar. The new taxon is diagnosed and described and photographic images of habitus and genital structures of both sexes are provided. It was collected in the Ivohiboro rainforest in south-central Madagascar, which is also briefly described. An updated key to the genera of Natalicolinae is provided.

Tolumnia immaculata Distant, 1900 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomoidea: Pentatomidae: Pentatominae) is redescribed based on the study of primary types and additional specimens from India and Sri Lanka. This species is found to not be congeneric with the rest of Tolumnia Stål, 1868, including the type species. This verifies the original opinion of Breddin (1909), which was subsequently rejected by Distant (1918) but without argumentation. As a result, the monotypic genus Mormoschema Breddin, 1909, stat. restit., is removed from synonymy with Tolumnia, and the combination Mormoschema immaculatum (Distant, 1900) is restituted. The male and female genitalia of Mormoschema immaculatum are described in detail. The tribal placement of Mormoschema is discussed; the genus is excluded from Cappaeini and transferred to Eysarcorini. Buddleja asiatica and Scrophularia sp. (Scrophulariaceae) are recorded as feeding plants for M. immaculatum.
