An annotated list of mosses of the Yana-Adycha Plateau (north-east Yakutia) is presented, including 173 species and 3 varieties of mosses from 83 genera and 34 families. The flora includes many rare xerophytic shecies: Hilpertia velenovskyi, Pterygoneurum kozlovii, Syntrichia caninervis, Fabronia ciliaris, Coscinodon cribrosus, C. hartzii. Orthotrichum upulatum is a new addition to Yakutian flora.

The genus Calycularia is revised worldwide. Descriptions, key for identification of species, differentiation from habitually similar species, distribution, ecology as well as illustrations and worldwide distribution map of Calycularia spp. are provided. C. crispula Mitt. is excluded from hepatic flora of Russia, Canada, Japan and Korea.

The annotated list of hepatics for the Caucasian State Nature Reserve (CSNR), one of the largest reserves in European Russia, records 126 species based on approximately 700 specimens collected by the authors. 12 species (Calypogeia sphagnicola, Cephalozia ambigua, Cephaloziella aspericaulis, C.varians, Jungermannia pumila, Lunularia cruciata, Mannia androgyna, Marsupella sparsifolia, Pallavicinia lyellii, Peltolepis quadrata, Sauteria alpina, Scapania brevicaulis) are new records for the Russian part of the Caucasus, 74 are new for the Republic of Adygeya. New localities for eight red-listed European species and five that are red-listed in the Krasnodarskyi Territory also are documented, indicating significant conservation value of the resereve. The greater richness of the flora of the Caucasian Reserve by comparison to that of Teberdinsky Reserve in Northern Caucasus is discussed.

Tortula edentula sp. n. is described as a new for science from the Kuril Islands, the Russian Far East. Gametophytically it is similar to T. aestiva Hedw., but differs in peristome absence, dark colour of capsules and larger spores. A newly described variety, Barbula indica (Hook.) Spreng. ex Steud. var. kurilensis var. nov. differs from the type variety by more narrow lanceolate leaves, crisped when dry. Description, illustrations and comparison with close species are given.

Tortella nitida (Lindb.) Broth. is newly reported for the Russian part of the Caucasus region. Descriptions, illustrations, distinctions, ecology and distributional pattern are given for this species and for T. bambergeri (Schimp.) Broth. and T. flavovirens (Bruch) Broth. recently found in a coastal area of the Black Sea. The identity of T. brotheri (Lindb.) Broth. is discussed. Seven species of Tortella are currently known in the Russian part of the Caucasus: T. alpicola Dixon, T. bambergeri, T. flavovirens, T. fragilis (Hook. & Wilson) Limpr., T. inclinata (R. Hedw.) Limpr., T. nitida and T. tortuosa (Hedw.) Limpr.. A key for identification of these species is

The bryophyte flora of Helan Mountain (China, Inner Mongolia Province) is studied and analyzed. It includes 201 taxa (10 Hepaticae and 191 Musci, including subspecies and varieties) from 77 genera and 30 families. Most of species have a broad North Temperate distribution. With the increase of altitudes and the variation of habitats, the distribution of bryophytes on Helan Mt. shows a clear vertical zonation. Based on our observation, we have classified the zonation of bryophytes in Helan Mountain into 5 altitudinal belts.

The annotated list of mosses on the results of the identification of the collection from Prince Patrick Island (Canadian Arctic Archipelago) gathered in summer 2004 is presented. The list includes 67 species, 10 from them new for Island.Descriptions of investigated habitat types and occurring species in them are given.
