This article attempts to explore the intricate nuances of literary names and naming within Saudi literary contexts, with a focus on their implications in shaping narratives and cultural identity.Adopting an interdisciplinary approach that intersects cultural studies, literary analysis, and discourse analysis, it aims to unveil the multifaceted functions of literary onomastics, not only as linguistic signifiers but also as bearers of intense symbolic significance. This study focuses on the works of Badryah Al-Bishr, a controversial feminist figure in Saudi Arabia whose narratives reflect societal norms and challenge gender dynamics. Her novel Gharmiyt Shri Al-Ash [Romances of al-Ash Street] (2013) provides a fertile ground for the analysis of the impact of constructed names in shaping both character development and cultural discourses.By integrating a theoretical framework that accounts for the dynamic interplay between culture, and narrativization, this paper seeks to disentangle the layers of symbolism embedded within Al-Bishr's narrative onomastics. These names, far from being arbitrary markers, serve as vehicles to convey deeper socio-cultural insights about gender roles and cultural identity within Saudi society.
