In this article we use the mean curvature flow with surgery to derive regularity estimates for the level set flow going past Brakke regularity in certain special conditions allowing for 2-convex regions of high density. We also show a stability result for the plane under the level set flow.

For every genus $g\geq 2$, we construct an infinite family of strongly quasipositive fibred knots having the same Seifert form as the torus knot $T(2,2g+1)$. In particular, their signatures and four-genera are maximal and their homological monodromies (hence their Alexander module structures) agree. On the other hand, the geometric stretching factors are pairwise distinct and the knots are pairwise not ribbon concordant.

In this paper, we will prove a gap theorem for four-dimensional gradient shrinking soliton. More precisely, we will show that any complete four-dimensional gradient shrinking soliton with nonnegative and bounded Ricci curvature, satisfying a pinched Weyl curvature, either is flat, or $\lambda_1 + \lambda_2\ge c_0 R>0$ everywhere for some $c_0\approx 0.29167$, where $\{\lambda_i\}$ are the two least eigenvalues of Ricci curvature. Furthermore, we will show that $\lambda_1 + \lambda_2\ge \frac 13R>0$ under a better pinched Weyl tensor assumption. We point out that the lower bound $\frac 13R$ is sharp.

In this note we show how a generalized Pohozaev-Schoen identity due to Gover and Orsted \cite{GO} can be used to obtain some rigidity results for $V$-static manifolds and generalized solitons. We also obtain an Alexandrov type result for certain hypersurfaces in Einstein manifolds.

In this paper, we generalize the Cao-Yau's gradient estimate for the sum of squares of vector fields up to higher step under assumption of the generalized curvature-dimension inequality. With its applications, by deriving a curvature-dimension inequality, we are able to obtain the Li-Yau gradient estimate for the CR heat equation in a closed pseudohermitian manifold of nonvanishing torsion tensors. As consequences, we obtain the Harnack inequality and upper bound estimate for the CR heat kernel.

We consider solutions (M,g(t)), 0 <= t <T, to Ricci flow on compact, four dimensional manifolds without boundary. We prove integral curvature estimates which are valid for any such solution. In the case that the scalar curvature is bounded and T is finite, we show that these estimates imply that the (spatial) integral of the square of the norm of the Riemannian curvature is bounded by a constant independent of time t for all 0 <= t<T and that the space time integral over M x [0,T) of the fourth power of the norm of the Ricci curvature is bounded.

We use the LMO invariant to find constraints for a knot to admit a purely or reflectively cosmetic surgery. We also get a constraint for knots to admit a Lens space surgery, and some information for characterizing slopes.

We study the asymptotic Dirichlet problem for A-harmonic equations and for the minimal graph equation on a Cartan-Hadamard manifold M whose sectional curvatures are bounded from below and above by certain functions depending on the distance to a fixed point in M. We are, in particular, interested in finding optimal (or close to optimal) curvature upper bounds.

The Anomaly flow is a flow which implements the Green-Schwarz anomaly cancellation mechanism originating from superstring theory, while preserving the conformally balanced condition of Hermitian metrics. There are several versions of the flow, depending on whether the gauge field also varies, or is assumed known. A distinctive feature of Anomaly flows is that, in $m$ dimensions, the flow of the Hermitian metric has to be inferred from the flow of its $(m-1)$-th power $\omega^{m-1}$. We show how this can be done explicitly, and we work out the corresponding flows for the torsion and the curvature tensors. The results are applied to produce criteria for the long-time existence of the flow, in the simplest case of zero slope parameter.
