This article is an approximation to the analysis of the transit from electoral communication to government communication, a period that is usually addressed as two differentiated dimensions, but which can be enhanced to contribute to the governments’ legitimacy and their relationship with citizens (information activists). After measuring university students and professionals’ electoral preferences in Lima, we conclude that the articulation of electoral and government communication consists not only in recognizing the expectations of these citizens, widely expressed during political campaigns, but also in consolidating dialogue channels during the government administration.

Mastering digital technologies has become a necessary skill in the academic, workplace and social spheres. Being disconnected —not using technological communication devices or not having control over them— leads to situations of inequality of opportunities and social invisibility. The following text includes the theoretical framework formulated by Bourdieu and from there, it proposes the category of ICT Capital as an advance towards understanding issues related to digital access and its transforming social relationship. The most significant findings show how current individuals subordinate their cultural capital, forms of interaction, languages, consumption of cultural goods, symbolic and statutory legitimacy to the technological experience of the digital world.

In this article terms we may use to refer to identities and the meanings of belonging in a multicultural context are considered. For this purpose, we study Stuart Hall’s concept of vernacular cosmopolitism, which recognizes identities as points of suture between discourses and practices; that is, alignments between two scopes: a constitutive outside, and interiority produced by the self. On the other hand, we study the intersectionality approach, which considers that axes of social stratification are mutually organized and interconnected; therefore, identities are not built in relation to fixed groups such as class, ethnic group, nation, but as social positionalities letting the representation of multiple identities to operate simultaneously as possible.

Our environment has changed. We live in a real and virtual society, where new Information and Communications Technology (ICT) offers us various possibilities of information generation and transmission, getting through geographical and cultural barriers and crossing the world in record time. The digital revolution is not over and the media ecosystem as a consequence has not stabilized yet. The increasing use of media and ICT has put traditional media in crisis within the transformation of the Advertising industry context and the alternative funding and business practices. Therefore, this article presents a critical analysis on Advertising and the new narratives, trying to find adequate bibliographical support to study the path from linearity to transmediality.

This is a semiotic essay in which the production of meaning is analyzed during the course of action. As it is an opened course, its nature and projective scope are relevant, whichplacesus inthe actionfieldas language, and also in the syntagmatic settings needed to maintain the congruence. In order to achieve it, the course of action would have to use adaptation, regulation, adjustment, memory and anticipation, etc. For example, there is a typology of traces which leads us from the forms to the interpretative processes, as well as to the concordance or discordance, and to the interpretation rules.
