This paper examines the performance of search and multi-agent algorithms within the context of the Pac-Man game. The game is used as a platform to simulate autonomous system management tasks, where an agent must complete missions in a two-dimensional space while avoiding dynamic obstacles. Classical search algorithms such as A* and BFS, along with multi-agent approaches like Alpha-Beta, Expectimax, and Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS), are analyzed in terms of their effectiveness under different maze complexities and game conditions. The study explores how maze size, ghost behaviors, and environmental dynamics influence the performance of each algorithm, particularly in terms of execution time, score, and win percentage.

The article is devoted to solving the problem of determining the resilience of critical infrastructure systems to malicious actions of adversaries. Different modeling methods and their integration are considered. Using the example of a system of systems, including energy and transport networks, the application of methods of agent, network, economic modeling and the method of system dynamics are considered, which are combined into a single structure of analysis for the development of algorithms for general decision-making support for the protection of critical infrastructure systems.

The article focuses on the development of an information search and protection system based on a Bayesian trust network as a measure of document relevance to the user’s query. The result is the development of search system structures and algorithms with relevance evaluation when searching the Internet, the implementation of data transmission with an adaptive database for storing decisions. If the need arises, when the goal set before the user cannot be achieved without involving additional information, the adaptive database sends a request to the search system, which in turn collects the necessary information. Mathematical formalization of the definition of relevant decisions was carried out. A graph was modelled, which was built based on Bayesian Trust Networks (BTN) in the GeNIe application package.

Introduction. Traffic in modern telecommunication radio networks is self-similar, therefore, the use of methods for calculating the parameters of Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) protocols adopted in the classical theory of teletraffic, based on Poisson distribution models, leads to an underestimation of the load and stability of these protocols. Purpose. Build a mathematical model for the operation of synchronous CSMA protocols with flexible and rigid strategies in conditions of self-shaped traffic. Obtain average transmission rate equations and their comparative analysis of the results of studies of the same protocols for traffic with the Poisson distribution. Methods. The goal is achieved by creating and analyzing a mathematical model for the operation of synchronous CSMA protocols with flexible and rigid strategies under conditions of Pareto-distributing traffic. The model is described by the equations of the average protocol transfer rate, which are a function of traffic intensity and Pareto distribution parameters. Results. It has been proven that self-similar traffic has a significant impact on the stability limit of CSMA protocols and their throughput, which must be taken into account when using these protocols in radio networks with long-term dependence on traffic distribution. At the same time, there is a slight decrease in the maximum average transmission rate of CSMA protocols compared to the traffic model with the Poisson distribution. Conclusions. The proposed mathematical model of CSMA protocols with flexible and rigid strategies makes it possible to calculate the real values of the average speed, stability limit, and throughput of these protocols under conditions of self-similar traffic.

This paper considers the new method of detection (diagnostic) stuck-at-faults (0/1) in digital combinational circuits based on a numerical set-theoretical approach. Compared to known methods and algorithms, the proposed approach differs in simpler implementation of searching for vectors of test codes at arbitrary points of the studied logic circuit. A few simple set-theoretical operations and procedures are sufficient to determine the location and the type of a stuck-at-fault (0/1). This is evidenced by the presented examples of application of the proposed method, that are borrowed from the publications of well-known authors.

Introduction. The effectiveness of a country’s economic policy can be measured using economic or social criteria that are interconnected and interdependent. Therefore, it is desirable to have a relatively small number of generalizing criteria-indicators (or even better – a single synthetic criterion-indicator) with the help of which it would be possible to measure the effectiveness of state economic policy, but the search for such criteria-indicators continues. The analysis of approaches to solving this problem shows that the priority direction is the use of the concept of quality of life. Purpose. In this work, we aim to analyze the dynamics of Ukrainian synthetic indicators of quality of life and a defined set of key explanatory variables-determinants of the state’s economic policy in order to identify problem areas in the socio-economic development of Ukraine. That is, consider approaches to solving the fourth task of our research based on the application of regression analysis. Results. Approaches to the study of the dynamics of synthetic indicators of the quality of life (QOL) and their determinants, which are determined on the basis of regression analysis from the a priori data set of the state’s economic policy, are considered. An analysis of the results of the dynamics of these SIAs and their determinants during 2010-2019 is presented. The obtained results indicate that on the basis of the analysis of the dynamics of Ukrainian synthetic indicators of the quality of life and their determinants, it is possible to ensure the identification of problem areas in the socio-economic development of Ukraine, which should be influenced by means of the state’s economic policy. Conclusion. As a result, we found a positive answer to the main question of our research: how, based on the analysis of the dynamics of synthetic indicators of the quality of life and their determinants, can we ensure the identification of problem areas in the socio-economic development of Ukraine, which should primarily be influenced by the means of state economic policy?

This paper presents an example of using procedural generation methods in a real-time strategy environment created on the basis of the MCC concept. The most important feature of the presented project is its modularity. All game level objects are independent of each other. An algorithm for visualizing objects based on procedural generation is described. The problems and their solutions that arose during the creation of the game are considered.

Introduction. Amidst the multiplicity of audio signal processing tasks connected with the necessity of source separation, the problem of obtaining of its most prominent components occupies special place. One of the approaches, dedicated to solve such task, is based on melody extraction from musical audio recording. If generalized, such technique can be applied to a wider class of audio signals for extraction from them of the so-called fundamental frequencies contour. For its realization, an attempt was made to combine the method of median filtering with the salience estimation method, for their application at various stages of the analysis of the input audio signal. A combination of methods is used to obtain the f_0-representation of the melody, based on the processing of the filtered values obtained at the first step. The purpose of the article is to obtain the trajectory of f_0-values of the input audio signal and filtering of the corresponding to this trajectory harmonics. Results. The proposed method is effective for use in audio signal processing systems for fundamental frequencies contour of the most prominent tonal components extraction and its further reuse. Conclusions. Realized spectrum decomposition technique, based on the tendency of the time-frequency distribution of its constituent sounds, allows to effectively extract melodic contours from non-melodic contours. Nevertheless, there is a necessity for further research regarding the distribution model of harmonic and percussive characteristics relative to each other. Such a model should be extended with heuristics for more accurate filtering of stable in time tonal components of complex audio signals.
