The method of calculation of natural frequencies and forms of oscillations of a two-link mechanical system of a robot manipulator is proposed. Links of the system are considered as straight rods with a step change of cross-sectional parameters. The equations of motion of a mechanical system are based on the technical bending theory. The analysis of oscillation processes is carried out using the matrix method of initial parameters.

The work of solar cells and their production of electrical energy have been affected by climate change, especially in hot regions which became significantly hotter and still receive relatively high levels of solar radiation throughout the year. Higher ambient temperature and solar radiation result in higher PV cell temperature and, therefore, the reduction in PV module power output and efficiency. This study investigates how a PV module performs throughout the year in a hot region by considering the variations in cell temperature resulting from changes in ambient temperature and solar radiation every day. The tilt angles and two-axis tracking have also been examined. Results indicate that the two-axis solar tracking system is critical to use in hot regions for obtaining higher output power. Therefore, part of this power can be used to cool solar panels using various methods to keep their efficiency high, such as operating air fans or operating pumps to cool them with coolant.

Transformers are crucial elements in the transmission and distribution of electrical energy. The importance of diagnosing these equipments are two-fold: (1) the necessity of service reliability and (2) the likelihood to avoid economic and environmental concerns. Under service conditions, the electrical and thermal stresses or chemical contaminants may degrade the insulation oil inside the transformer and cause incipient failures or reduce its service life. Partial discharges well recognized to be among the most common stresses that can lead to slow but steady degradation of insulating oil in transformers. The present work aims at understanding the influence of low energy electrical discharge on mineral oil based on two spectroscopic methods: FTIR spectroscopy and Frequency Domain Spectroscopy (FDS). An electrical fault has been created by continuous discharge of 10 kV on the surface of various oil samples according to the ASTM D6180. From the FDS results, it was found that the amount of charge carriers and moisture increased with the aging time elapsed that
\ninfluences the conduction phenomena and in turn, increases the dissipation factor. These results are confirmed by the FTIR results, which show that the intensity of the peak absorbance of the C–H and C-C functional group decreased with aging. The application of these two methods may help monitoring the condition of oil. A combined FTIR and FDS measurements highlighted the correlations between modifications in electrical properties and changes in the chemical structure of the oil under electrical accelerated ageing.

Responding to the needs of quality and robustness of analysis and management of degradation of equipment, to increase their life cycle and to expand these facilities to become more and more sophisticated and agronomic. This work proposes a contribution to increase the survival of a gas turbine, installed in a gascompression plant, with a comparative study between the two-parameter Weibull distribution. A new modified Weibull distribution was proposed also to reduce the risk of occurrence of failure in this rotating machine. A Statistical analysis and validation on the synthesis of turbine's reliability data and failures were considered, with a particular focus on the use of this data to increase the availability of this type of machine. In the paper a simple unsupervised monitoring method of rotary machines is proposed. The method consists of three stagesmulti-reference preliminary analysis of the vibration signals, auto-reference preliminary analysis and probabilistic analysis of the signals. The method was tested by using signals from eight simulated machines. The efficiency of the method has been positively verified.

The article is devoted to solving of urgent problem to eliminate damages of two types in ventilation systems for air distribution efficiency increasing in the premises by swirled air flow, compact air jet, flat air stream and rectangular air jet. A mathematical model of air supply with swirled air flow, compact air jet, flat air jet and rectangular air stream in the room has been developed. It is shown that in order to achieve the maximum efficiency of air distribution it is necessary to ensure its supply by jets. Graphical and analytical dependences on the basis of the conducted experimental research are presented. Parameters of swirled air flow, compact air jet, flat air stream and rectangular air jet during the formation of a comfortable indoor climate are determined. The results of experimental studies of air supply to the room by the air distribution devices, which form a swirled air flow, compact air stream, flat air flow and rectangular air jet with adequate turbulence and long range of the supply air flow, are presented. It is established that with the increase of the angle of swirling plates inclination and ratio of the slit sides the air jets long range increases.
