Abstract The modern study of the exponential sums is mainly about their analytic estimates as complex numbers, which is local. In this paper, we study one global property of the exponential sums by viewing them as algebraic integers. For a kind of generalized Kloosterman sums, we present their degrees as algebraic integers.

Abstract In this article, we introduce and explore the notion of topological amenability in the broad setting of (locally compact) semihypergroups. We acquire several stationary, ergodic and Banach algebraic characterizations of the same in terms of convergence of certain probability measures, total variation of convolution with probability measures and translation of certain functionals, as well as the F-algebraic properties of the associated measure algebra. We further investigate the interplay between restriction of convolution product and convolution of restrictions of measures on a sub-semihypergroup. Finally, we discuss and characterize topological amenability of sub-semihypergroups in terms of certain invariance properties attained on the corresponding measure algebra of the parent semihypergroup. This in turn provides us with an affirmative answer to an open question posed by J. Wong in 1980.

Abstract We extend the stability and spectral invariance of convolution-dominated matrices to the case of quasi-Banach algebras p < 1 {p<1} . As an application, we construct a spectrally invariant quasi-Banach algebra of pseudodifferential operators with non-smooth symbols that generalize Sjöstrand’s results.

Abstract In this paper we discuss some basic properties of octonionic Bergman and Hardy spaces. In the first part we review some fundamental concepts of the general theory of octonionic Hardy and Bergman spaces together with related reproducing kernel functions in the monogenic setting. We explain how some of the fundamental problems in well-defining a reproducing kernel can be overcome in the non-associative setting by looking at the real part of an appropriately defined para-linear octonion-valued inner product. The presence of a weight factor of norm 1 in the definition of the inner product is an intrinsic new ingredient in the octonionic setting. Then we look at the slice monogenic octonionic setting using the classical complex book structure. We present explicit formulas for the slice monogenic reproducing kernels for the unit ball, the right octonionic half-space and strip domains bounded in the real direction. In the setting of the unit ball we present an explicit sequential characterization which can be obtained by applying the special Taylor series representation of the slice monogenic setting together with particular octonionic calculation rules that reflect the property of octonionic para-linearity.

Abstract We prove two single-parameter q-supercongruences which were recently conjectured by Guo, and establish their further extensions with one more parameter. Crucial ingredients in the proof are the terminating form of the q-binomial theorem, a Karlsson–Minton-type summation formula due to Gasper, and the method of “creative microscoping” developed by Guo and Zudilin. Incidentally, an assertion of Li, Tang and Wang is also confirmed by establishing its q-analogue.

Abstract In this article, the post quantum analogue of Sheffer polynomial sequences is introduced using concepts of post quantum calculus. The series representation, recurrence relations, determinant expression and certain other properties of this class are established. Further, the 2D-post quantum-Sheffer polynomials are introduced via generating function and their properties are established. Certain identities and integral representations for the 2D-post quantum-Hermite polynomials, 2D-post quantum-Laguerre polynomials, and 2D-post quantum-Bessel polynomials are also considered.

Math. 317 2017, 157–192] concerning the spectral cluster bounds for orthonormal systems at p = ∞ {p=\infty} , on the flat torus and spaces of nonpositive sectional curvature, by shrinking the spectral band from [ λ 2 , ( λ + 1 ) 2 ) {[\lambda^{2},(\lambda+1)^{2})} to [ λ 2 , ( λ + ϵ ⁢ ( λ ) ) 2 ) {[\lambda^{2},(\lambda+\epsilon(\lambda))^{2})} , where ϵ ⁢ ( λ ) {\epsilon(\lambda)} is a function of λ that goes to 0 as λ goes to ∞ {\infty} . In achieving this, we invoke the method developed in [J. Bourgain, P. Shao, C. D. Sogge and X. Yao, On L p L^{p} -resolvent estimates and the density of eigenvalues for compact Riemannian manifolds, Comm. Math. Phys. 333 2015, 3, 1483–1527].

Abstract The aim of the paper is to provide a characterization criterion of exponential solvable Frobenius Lie algebras (having open coadjoint orbits), in terms of primitive ideals of the associated enveloping algebra. In the case of complex solvable Lie algebras, we also show that an algebraic adjoint orbit is open if and only if the associated primitive ideal through the Dixmier map is trivial.

IMRN 2023), 10.1093/imrn/rnac362] and [Y. Sire, C. D. Sogge, C. Wang and J. Zhang, Reversed Strichartz estimates for wave on non-trapping asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds and applications, Comm. Partial Differential Equations 47 2022, 6, 1124–1132] to prove the maximal estimates for fractional Schrödinger equations ( i ⁢ ∂ t + ℒ 𝐀 α 2 ) ⁢ u = 0 {(i\partial_{t}+\mathcal{L}_{\mathbf{A}}^{\frac{\alpha}{2}})u=0} in the purely magnetic fields which includes the Aharonov–Bohm fields. The proof is based on the cluster spectral measure estimates. In particular, for α = 1 {\alpha=1} , the maximal estimate for wave equation is sharp up to the endpoint.

Abstract A subset S of an integral domain R is called a semidomain provided that the pairs ( S , + ) {(S,+)} and ( S , ⋅ ) {(S,\cdot\,)} are semigroups with identities. The study of factorizations in integral domains was initiated by Anderson, Anderson, and Zafrullah in 1990, and this area has been systematically investigated since then. In this paper, we study the divisibility and arithmetic of factorizations in the more general context of semidomains. We are specially concerned with the ascent of the most standard divisibility and factorization properties from a semidomain to its semidomain of (Laurent) polynomials. As in the case of integral domains, here we prove that the properties of satisfying the ascending chain condition on principal ideals, having bounded factorizations, and having finite factorizations ascend in the class of semidomains. We also consider the ascent of the property of being atomic and that of having unique factorization (none of them ascends in general). Throughout the paper, we provide several examples aiming to shed some light upon the arithmetic of factorizations of semidomains.
