The third issue of the 16th year of IEEE Solid-State Circuits Magazine</i> pays respect to Gordon Moore. Gordon Moore, a pioneer of the semiconductor industry, is best known for Moore’s Law, predicting the doubling of transistors on integrated circuits every two years. Beyond this prediction, those who knew him highlight his insatiable curiosity, business acumen, wisdom, vision, and humility. Moore cofounded Fairchild Semiconductor and Intel, significantly impacting both the semiconductor industry and various philanthropic endeavors. His legacy includes contributions to technology and environmental conservation, reflecting his forward-thinking approach and commitment to societal betterment. Gordon Moore was also instrumental in creating the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Council [1], which later became the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS), that organizes educational events, provides networking opportunities, and sponsors conferences, journals, and this magazine, which I hope you enjoy reading!
