The purpose of this paper is to predict the financial distress of companies of the Indian textile sector using Altman Z score. The analysis conducted on 161 listed textile companies in India for a period of 10 years from 2009 to 2018. All the listed companies are categorized into large, medium, and small using the median split method based on the size of total assets. Kruskal Wallis test is applied to test whether the mean z-score is different for each category of companies. This research study shows that majority of the companies in the Indian textile sector are facing financial distress. Further, it shows that the z score of small, medium, and large-scale textile companies in India is significantly different.

This research study explores the diversification opportunity among 18 European stock market indices for the sample period from January 2001 to December 2019. However, financial education plays an important role in the development of the textile industry, considering the dynamics of the companies listed on the European stock exchanges. The correlation matrix, pairwise cointegration and Johansen cointegration reveal that selected 18 European stock market indices do not reduces the portfolio risk because exhibit higher positive correlation among them, and their movement pulsed in tandem. Potential investors are attracted by high investment opportunities in order to maximize their return based on portfolio diversification. Financial education can effectively contribute to the sustainable growth of the textile industry in Europe. This empirical research provides an integrated perspective on the long-term evolution of certain major European stock exchange indices. The findings have significant implications for investors interested in selecting these European stock indices in order to diversify their portfolio risk. Our study also imply that selected stock indices have been strongly affected by similar political and financial belies across Europe thus, eliminating the possibility of portfolio risk diversification.

The fine control of yarn breakage is essential for the production of better yarn quality by reducing the tension fluctuationof roving. The detection of roving tension provides important information regarding the yarn formation during spinning. In the present work, we developed a device for roving-tension detection and regulation, which greatly reduces the yarnbreakage rate and improves the production efficiency of ring spinning. By analysing the factors affecting the rovingtensions, we used a signal acquisition system in conjunction with the tension detection device to regulate the spindlerotate speed to realize the fine control of yarn breakage. Our results indicate that the proposed method can ensure auniform spinning tension of the yarn in ring spinning, which significantly reduces the yarn breakage rate, and boost theyarn production. Our work paves the way toward the rational production of high-quality yarn

A series composite was prepared by adding hydrogenated carboxyl nitrile rubber (abbreviated HXNBR) as the matrix and four-hole hollow polyester (abbreviated FHHPF) as the reinforcement. The sound absorption properties of these composites were studied. The results show that with the increasing of FHHPF quantity, the storage modulus increases and the loss factor decreases gradually. On the contrary, the sound absorption performance of the composite was improved continuously. Composite with 40% FHHPF in 1 mm thickness is the best. The sound absorption coefficient reached to 0.651 at 2500 Hz and the effective frequency range of absorption coefficient above 0.2 was 1750-2500 Hz. When the amount of FHHPF increased to 50%, negative effects of overuse shown up, that led to the decreasing of the sound absorption property. With a constant mass ratio 70/30 of HXNBR/FHHPF composite, the sound absorption performance can be enhanced by changing its thickness. However, the improvement was smaller after the thickness increased to 2 mm. When increasing the thickness above 2 mm, the improvement of sound absorption performance tended to move to the middle and low frequency. In the meantime, the tensile mechanical properties of the composite were significantly improved by adding FHHPF. Tensile tenacity was improved greatly and the breaking elongation is significantly decreased. The deformation of the composite was smaller and more stable, which was beneficial for the actual engineering practice.

In this paper, the vine-like structure of carbon bundles was designed through polyester fibre wrapping for better mechanical properties. The effect of wrapped hybrid structure and diameters of polyester fibre on the mechanical properties of carbon-polyester fibre/epoxy unidirectional composites was investigated experimentally. Five kinds of specimens with different polyester filament diameters were produced. The impact, tensile and unidirectional compressive properties of WHC (Wrap Hybrid Composite) were measured. Experimental results show that: it can be developed with strength and toughness properties far superior to those of their constituents, the compressive fracture morphology of specimens indicated that the fracture patterns of composites depend on wrapped hybrid structure, polyester fibres with higher tensile strengths provide better impact resistance, while thinner wrapping fibres enhance the compression properties of the composite material more effectively. The diameter of the wrapping fibre should be optimized as per the application of the composite material. The vine-like structure can provide a new design method for the structural design of continue fibre reinforced composite materials.

The heritage woven objects could be analyzed for defects hidden to the naked eye using non-invasive and non-destructive ultrasonography techniques. Ultrasonography is able to offer information about altered areas, such as gasps, interruptions, discontinuances, narrowed areas, fiber breaks, different densities of the material, defects caused by natural or anthropic factors: improper storage and exposure conditions, the presence of microorganisms and traces of their activity, mechanical causes etc. By recycling of the cotton fibers from other decrepit materials, which are not directly usable, the recondition and rendition of the national and world cultural heritage of these refurbished objects would be accomplished. The impact on the environment is diminished compared to the case when new cotton fibers are created.

Local apparel and textile manufacturing industry in Taiwan is a sector of great importance for sustainable economicgrowth. A stock market is an effective barometer indicating the economic health of a country and Taiwan is a case evenmore special. However, is Taiwan a black swan phenomenon for local apparel and textile manufacturing industryconsidering its economic growth and financial perspectives? In addition to existing literature, this research articleprovides a new robust nonlinear regression-based model for stock exchange prediction for Taiwan stock market. Thefinancial data series used for the econometric analysis include the period from January 2000 to July 2018 for 13 mainstock markets from countries all around the globe, such as: Taiwan, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Canada, USA,Japan, Germany, France, UK, India, and China. The final multiple regression equation provides a new prediction modelfor Taiwan’s main stock market index. A sustainable economic growth in Taiwan is necessary to achieve major objectivessuch as social justice, poverty alleviation and natural environment protection. The stock market in Taiwan plays anessential role in order to stimulate economic growth and technological progress by attracting foreign investment andforeign capital. In a globalized economy, the inter-linkages between stock markets are complex and can significantlyinfluence Taiwan’s sustainable development.

This study was conducted on 44 dogs, aged between 10 months and 15 years, weighing between 0.9 and 8.5 kilograms, during 72 months. We created four batches of 11 dogs each. First batch received silicone peritoneal catheters with twoDacron cuffs, second batch received silicone peritoneal catheters without Dacron cuffs, third batch receivedpolypropylene peritoneal catheters with two Dacron cuffs and fourth batch received polypropylene peritoneal catheterswithout Dacron cuffs. All the dogs were treated with the same peritoneal dialysis solution, at the same interval, in thesame doses and at the same temperature and all the peritoneal catheters were straight Blake. In dogs from the firstbatch, we experienced minimum subcutaneous leaks of peritoneal dialysis solution and the catheters were permeablefor at least 90 days. In the second batch, we experienced constant and reduced subcutaneous leaks of peritonealdialysis solution and the catheters were permeable for at least 90 days. In the third batch, we experienced mediumsubcutaneous leaks of peritoneal dialysis solution and the catheters were permeable for at least 45 days. In the fourthbatch, we experienced important subcutaneous leaks of peritoneal dialysis solution and the catheters were permeablefor at most 15 days. The study conclusion is that the best peritoneal catheter it is represented by the silicone peritonealcatheters with two Dacron cuffs.

The parachute inflation process is a typical time-varying, non-linear and fluid-structure coupling problem, especially inairdrop condition. For its complexity, numerical model of the inflation process is a big challenge, and most of the modelsestablished before still have room for improvement. There were two common problems that the first one was ignoranceof inertia force of canopy and line, and the second was that took stretch speed as the initial airdrop speed in modelling. Thus, a modified finite element model for canopy inflation process based on ALE (Arbitrary Lagrange Euler) method wasestablished that the inertia force of canopy and line was taken into consideration and the initial airdrop speed wasestimated and adjusted. The opening load in finite mass situation during deployment-inflation process of C-9 typeparachute was calculated. The result was compared to experimental data and calculated data of unmodified models. Itwas indicated that the opening load and peak time of modified model was the closest to experiment and the snatch loadwas also calculated and confirmed, so that the correctness and rationality of the model was verified. Then the factorinfluence of inertia force and initial airdrop speed was analysed, which provided a reference for parachute numericalmodelling.
