Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is a byproduct formed during an Oxygen Evolution Reaction which hinders the formation of O2 and slows the kinetics of water splitting. Spin plays a vital role in the reduction of peroxide. In this work the role of magnetic field in the reduction of H2O2 formation using UV-visible supported titration method has been studied. Nickel Foam was utilized as a working electrode and electrochemical measurements were conducted to verify the reduction in the H2O2 formation with the magnetic field. There was a remarkable 44% decrease in the formation of H2O2 when a magnetic field of 3500 Oe was applied. Moreover, there was a reduction of 22 mV in the overpotential which was confirmed by Linear Sweep Voltammetry measurement.
