Game theory is a tool for decision-making in the face of uncertain factors. In this paper, by analysing the defects of the existing traffic light timing strategy, combined with the existing traffic conditions, a dynamic traffic crossing strategy based on game theory is proposed. This paper attempts to use game theory to determine the traffic relationship between intersections, adjust the timing of traffic lights in real time, and compare it with the existing timing methods through software simulation. The experimental results show that the dynamic traffic strategy proposed in this paper can improve the traffic efficiency, effectively reduce the maximum queue length, and has a strong adaptability to emergencies.

Inventory management is essential to any enterprise, and correctly setting inventory parameters can reduce costs while ensuring adequate inventory levels. To meet the availability requirements of different categories of spare parts for nuclear power plants, this paper combines the NSGA3 algorithm with a single-objective algorithm to solve the inventory parameter setting problem. Based on the historical usage data of nuclear power plant spare parts, we establish both availability rate and spare part cost objective functions and optimise these functions using the NSGA3 algorithm. We then use a single-objective optimisation function to obtain the optimal solution as the parameter setting for nuclear power plant spare parts. By combining these two methods, we can better meet spare parts requirements for different categories, while fully considering the inventory management needs of nuclear power companies and improving management efficiency.

Purchase decisions in recent times are extensively dependent on social media referrals. The effective utilisation of social media has become compulsory for the organisations in order to remain competitive. In the emerging markets like Pakistan, promotions through electronic word of mouth on social media have incepted, but still it's quite difficult for the organisations to cope-up with the contemporary electronic word of mouth needs. Nevertheless, the Pakistani social media marketing managers are unfamiliar in motivating social media users to engage in electronic word of mouth. For that reason, the current research aims to understand the social capital theory and self-determination theory dimensions and altruism role in engaging customers for sharing products and services associated with word of mouth on social media websites. Structural, cognitive, and relational dimensions of social capital are manifested as tie-strength, shared language and trust respectively. Autonomy, competence, and relatedness of self-determination theory are manifested as voluntary self-disclosures, innovativeness, and trust respectively. In order to affirm literary associations among the constructs, structural equation modelling using MPlus was executed on the responses of 550 Pakistani social media users. The outcomes attained manifestly accepted the established hypotheses. Based on these findings theoretical and practical implications are produced.

In 2016, Gope and Hwang have proposed a scheme, in which they stated that their scheme preserves user anonymity. However with the thorough cryptanalysis of their scheme, we have proved that their scheme is vulnerable to various security attacks. To overcome the security attacks and to achieve the security goals, a new scheme has been proposed. Through the rigorous informal and formal security analysis, we have demonstrated that the proposed scheme is secure against the security attacks. Further, the proposed scheme is simulated using widely accepted automated validation of internet security protocols and applications (AVISPA) tool. With the simulated results of the proposed scheme, we proved that the proposed scheme is secure against active and passive security attacks. Additionally, the proposed scheme is compared with Gope and Hwang and other schemes in terms of performance, computational cost and communication overhead. The proposed scheme is efficient and robust.

In the IoT environment, network applications such as various content/resource sharing, remote sensing, and so on play an important role to realise flexible and efficient communication on the network. If requested content/resource is retrieved from a huge number of various IoT devices, the amount of content/resource management information increases tremendously and most of IoT devices might not have enough computing/networking resource to maintain such management information. Thus, it is indispensable to introduce scalable management scheme and powerful delegate server for the IoT environment. This paper proposes a peer-to-peer information management scheme using multi-overlay network. The peer-to-peer networking is one of the promising ways to achieve scalability of the network applications and the multi-overlay network plays a role to provide a logical network structure adaptive to requested content/resource distribution. The evaluation results of a prototype with content-based and distance-based overlay networks revealed that we can implement IoT-oriented network applications while keeping practical search efficiency as well as saving network resource.

Recently, the popularity of the internet of things technology has highlighted the importance of performance for gathering data over multi-hop wireless sensor nodes. Data obtained from the sensor nodes is used by individual as well as multiple users. Therefore, a data-centric communication strategy is ideal for efficient data gathering and delivery. This paper proposes the implementation of a new data-centric communication strategy based on the named data network (NDN) to wireless sensor network (WSN) for achieving efficient communication performance. We discuss the modification of the NDN, which is originally developed for a wired network, for achieving better communication performance even in wireless communication networks. Specifically, we discuss the methods for constructing the reverse path of the required contents and for selecting the adequate next hop relay node of the forwarding interest. We propose new methods considering the broadcast nature of the wireless channels. Using computer simulations, we confirm that our proposed methods reduce the redundant transmissions by selecting a proper route based on network conditions.

While the aging of social infrastructure in Japan is advancing, the number of technical experts responsible for infrastructure management has drastically decreased, which has become the major problem to solve social infrastructure aging problems. In order to build a social infrastructure management system with the collaboration from citizens, a 'citizens' participation with ICT technology' was constructed in this research to make it possible for citizens to report the malfunction of social infrastructure, including the situation, the position and the details to the administration of the government. Then a social experiment utilising this system was conducted in two different municipalities with the participation of citizens. Finally, the effectiveness of the system and the problems for dissemination were verified through a questionnaire survey.
