A checklist of the bees of the genus Hylaeus Fabricius, 1793 of Iran, based on the literature data and also field surveys in northeastern Iran (North Khorasan and Khorasan-e Razavi provinces) is presented. The resulting checklist comprises nine subgenera and 63 species. Four species of the genus Hylaeus, including H. (Lambdopsis) rinki (Gorski, 1852), H. (Spatulariella) hyalinatus Smith, 1842, H. (Spatulariella) punctatus (Brull, 1832) and H. (Prosopis) lionotus (Alfken, 1909), are newly recorded for the fauna of Iran. The later species is considered as very rare , has only known in Kazakhstan. A redescription of the male of H. (Prosopis) lionotus together with the illustrations of morphological characters is given.

The Sri Lankan species, Methocha ubiquita Krombein, 1982 is newly reported for the fauna of India. Differential characters, figures, distribution map and comparisons of the newly recorded species with original description of type material are provided.

The genus Sphex Linnaeus (Hymenoptera: Sphecidae) is studied from India and key to Indian species is provided. The state-wise distributions of four species of Sphex are augmented here. A new synonymy is proposed: Sphex zubaidiyacus Augul, 2013 = S. obscurus (Fabricius, 1804).

Specimens of springtails were collected from soil and leaf litter in the forests of Mazandaran province, north of Iran during 2016-2017.Three species were recorded in this country for the first time, Xenylla szeptyckii Skarżyński, Piwnik & Porco, 2018 (Hypogastruridae), Friesea espunaensis Arbea & Jordana, 1993 (Neanuridae) and Tomocerina minuta (Tullberg, 1877) (Tomoceridae).Detailed descriptions of these species are provided based on the materials collected from Mazandaran province, Iran.

The Oriental Asian species, Saltella setigera (Diptera: Sepsidae), that previously recorded based on a single male specimen from Shakargarh, Punjab province of Pakistan, is revised. During our recent collection from the Northern parts of Pakistan, both male and female specimens have been collected from Islamabad Capital Territory and Azad Kashmir, shows the wide distribution of this rarely known species and may expect to identify from other areas adjoining to these collection sites in future. The distributional notes, key characters, re-description, and detail photographs of both sexes are provided.

A BSTR ACT . There is not a comprehensive cheklist on Halictidae family in Iran yet. In this survey, 1179 specimens of the Halictid bees collected from various area of Iran were examined. Among them, we found 78 species of Halictid bees as a major component of the Apoidea fauna in Iran. Herein, a list of the halictid bees, with localities name, geographical coordinations of localities, and number of male and female specimens is provided. Also, distribution of species in Iran, based on the material collected in this study and the worldwide distribution (where applicable) are presented. Five species are recorded for the first time from following provinces, respectively: Lasioglossum (Ctenonomia) vagans (Smith, 1857), from Sistan-o Baluchestan, Halictus (Vestitohalictus) nasica Morawitz, 1876, from Isfahan and Sistan-o Baluchestan, Halictus tetrazoinus (Klug, 1817) from Charmahal-o Bakhtiari, Halictus fatsensis Blthgen, 1936, from Charmahal-o Bakhtiari, Halictus (Seladonia) fuscicollis Morawitz, 1876, from Sistan-o Baluchestan.

Review of the subfamily Calliphorinae (Dipt.: Calliphoridae) in Iran with two genera and four species as new records

New record of Friesea afurcata Tullberg, 1869 (Collembola, Neanuridae) in Golestan national Park (Hyrcanian forests), Iran

This study is aimed to explore the fauna of grasshoppers and locusts (Orthoptera) within the county of Dasht-e Azadegan (Khuzestan Province), where is placed a vast plain with geographical coordinates of 4742 to 4828 E and 3124 to 3257 N. Sampling carried out since March 2015 until end of August 2016 using insect sweeping net and also light torch at eleven selected sites and continued for the duration of all seasons of each year every one month. The collecting sites were selected to cover the whole area in terms of climate, sea level, and vegetation. Referring to morphological identification keys and comparing the result with the type of material deposited at Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum, out of 1770 specimens, four Families, 11 Subfamilies, 21 genera and 25 species enlisted. Out of which, one genus, and two species were discovered to be new to the fauna of Iran. Based on the yielded statistics, Aiolopus thalassinus is candidates as the most frequent species in the area.
