Multitude of requirements for internet applications has led to creation of countless technologies. Goal of this article is to compare performance of server-side applications providing GraphQL API. Using frameworks NestJS and Spring Boot applications with the same business logic were created. Applications utilize the same data source - database "airport" developed for the experiment. In order to verify formulated hypotheses stress test was conducted. Each test set consisted of following number of requests: 1000, 2000, 4000. Tests showed that NestJS performance exceeds Spring Boot in GraphQL queries. However, GraphQL mutation results point out opposite.

This article presents a performance analysis of the Jetpack Compose toolkit components in mobile applications executing typical user tasks. A performance comparison was conducted between specialized and less specialized components. The Macrobenchmark, JUnit, and UIAutomator libraries were used to evaluate the performance of scrollable lists, animations, and dispatchers on three different mobile devices, with each implementation in a given scenario appearing identical. The results from the conducted tests indicate that specialized components do not always have the same or better performance than less specialized components.

The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is transforming healthcare through enhanced remote monitoring and real-time data exchange, but it also introduces significant cybersecurity challenges. This study evaluates various deep learning architectures - Feedforward Neural Networks (FNN), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), Long Short-Term Memory networks (LSTM), and Bi-LSTM - for classifying cyber-attacks in IoMT networks. Utilizing the ECU-IoHT dataset, the Bi-LSTM and CNN models demonstrated superior performance, achieving 60% and 60% accuracy, 75% and 86% precision, 60% and 60% recall, and 63% and 61% F1-score, respectively. These results highlight the effectiveness of Bi-LSTM and CNN in enhancing cybersecurity measures within the IoMT, underscoring their potential to safeguard connected medical devices.

The aim of this article is to present the results of a comparative analysis of the Cypress and Playwright frameworks, focusing on their efficiency in the end-to-end testing of Angular-based web applications. At the outset, a hypothesis was formulated that Playwright surpasses Cypress in testing Angular-based applications due to lower memory consumption, faster execution of end-to-end tests, and better support for tests across multiple browsers. Subsequently, a study was conducted, which involved implementing defined test scenarios in both tools. The time and memory consumption of each automated test were measured. Additionally, the ease of use of the tools was evaluated by analysing the length of the code required for each test and the resulting file size. The experiment fully confirmed the formulated hypothesis.

The study was conducted with the participation of 8 online editors with no previous experience with the Drupal system. The subjects performed a series of tasks in 3 sessions spread over time. The time of completion of each task was measured – it was noted that it decreased in subsequent sessions, which suggests an increase in interface memorability and greater efficiency of the editor. The results of the System Usability Scale survey showed a positive assessment of the editor, and interviews revealed the intuitiveness of many functions, and the challenges related to the level of complexity of some operations.

Within the scope of the article, two studies were carried out on the most frequently used email programs. In the first study, parameters were measured regarding the speed and ergonomics of these programs, and the intuitiveness of their interfaces was compared. In the second study, the performance of email security mechanisms, the possibility to change their settings, and the security vulnerabilities detected in these programs in the past were verified. The results of the study clearly indicate the weaknesses of the security mechanisms studied, and also allowed to verify which email programs are the easiest and most intuitive to use.

In modern business environments, flexibility and adaptability in customer relationship management solutions are increasingly important. This study examines the flexibility of Salesforce’s standard components compared to custom-developed components in Lightning Web Components by assessing each type’s customization and adaptability to business-specific needs. The research sets forth three primary hypotheses: that custom components are more adaptable to unique business requirements, that custom components enhance user satisfaction through better interface adaptation, and that they provide improved responsiveness across various devices. The methodology involved A/B testing with two groups, each evaluating either standard or custom Salesforce components on desktop and mobile devices. The evaluation focused on four flexibility metrics: CSS customizability, responsiveness, parameter flexibility, and user acceptability. Data collection included code analysis, component behavior observations, and user surveys. Findings indicate a significant flexibility advantage for custom components across all measured characteristics, confirming the hypotheses. In conclusion, the research demonstrates that custom components offer substantial flexibility benefits over standard components, particularly in enhancing user satisfaction and adaptability. These results suggest custom components are valuable for enterprises requiring high adaptability in their Salesforce solutions.

This paper presents a performance comparison of five popular REST API frameworks: ASP.NET, Spring Boot, Express.js, Laravel and Django REST Framework. The analysis took into account response times, resource consumption, Docker image sizes and code complexity. ASP.NET showed the shortest response times and smallest images, Express.js stood out for its stable resource management, while Django and Laravel, although less efficient, featured by compact code. Spring Boot, on the other hand, showed similar, though slightly worse, efficiency compared to ASP.NET. The results underscore the importance of matching the platform to specific project requirements.

The article focuses on comparing relational and non-relational databases using applications written in C#. The aim of the study is to understand in which cases relational databases are preferred and when it is worth considering the use of non-relational databases. The research examines the speed of data retrieval, updating, and deletion, in the context of five different databases, including relational ones like PostgreSQL, MySql, Oracle, and non-relational ones such as Neo4j and MongoDB. The data consists of 1,578,098 records. In the case of relational databases, a unified database model was applied, while in NoSQL databases, the data model was appropriately adjusted to the specific type of non-relational database. Differences in the execution time of database queries are analyzed based on indexing strategies and query complexity. Special attention is given to query performance efficiency in the context of using C# and libraries that facilitate the connection between the application and databases. The conducted research indicates that the PostgreSQL database achieves the lowest average query response times.

The study presents an analysis of two versions of a car rental website’s graphical interface in terms of usability and accessibility. a literature review was conducted to clarify concepts such as universal design, usability, and user experience. Two types of the car rental website were developed: one adhering to universal design principles and the other not considering these principles. The research employed tools such as WAVE, surveys, the LUT checklist, and an eye tracker. Metrics like time to first fixation and user ratings were analyzed. The experiments demonstrated that the website following universal design principles is more intuitive and user-friendly. Heatmaps and gaze paths illustrate that the version developed according to universal design principles significantly facilitates users in finding the information they need.
