The article examines the phenomenon of volunteer movement in the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred as RF) as a process with charitable orientation that includes traditional forms of mutual assistance, official provision of services, and other forms of assistance. The authors of this article have analysed the main problems that arise during the implementation of volunteer projects (emotional burnout among volunteers, staff turnover, lack of competencies, high level of bureaucratisation, and difficulties in reporting, financial instability of non-profit organisations and others) and opportunities that the state provides for the volunteer movement in the RF. The causes and mechanisms of involvement of the young generation in it are described. The prospects for the development of young people, society, and state are outlined. The authors of the article have considered the basic technologies for managing non-commercial projects and principles of their organisation. Аlso, the process of the younger generation joining the volunteer movement is described, since this group is its main representative. The authors pay special attention to the educational function and those fundamental personal qualities that form such an activity as helping others: humanity, mercy, and compassion. It is worth noting that the article provides real-world experience and examples of the implemented volunteer projects.

This article discusses the use of tools of the agile project approach to optimise the work of project teams on the example of Kanban boards. The digitilisation of the Kanban approach is described as well as the opportunities for the activities of the project manager and project teams that it provides. The sections of the work analyse such concepts as an effective project team in the current trends of the modern world, classical and agile project management, their common features and differences, and digitalisation of project activities. The article discusses the basic principles of the Kanban management approach, its strengths and weaknesses, and specifics of its application in projects. The article analyses how the Kanban approach tools can optimise the work of the project team, which areas of interaction between its members they affect the most, and how digital tools for organising teamwork and information turnover change the approach to the collective work ona project. Examples of specific software products based on the Kanban approach are considered, the effectiveness of their use by the project teams is evaluated, and summary conclusions are drawn based on the analysed information.

The global disruption of 2020-2022 forced organizations to reassess their resilience strategies, with executives agreeing to prioritize project management, data analytics, and problem-solving among the top 10 skills for their workforce. In this context, the role of the Project Management Office (PMO) in building resilience and achieving project success has been critically examined. While PMOs are assumed to enhance governance and structured guidance, it remains unclear whether their presence significantly influences resilience-building during disruptions. This study investigates this issue by conducting multi-group analysis (MGA) using data from 170 practicing project managers worldwide who navigated the global disruption. The study examines how Data Analytics Capability (DACP) and Project Management Maturity (PMMM) impact Project Resilience (PRES) and Project Success (PSUC), employing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for empirical validation. Results indicate that both DACP and PMMM significantly enhance resilience, with DACP demonstrating a comparatively stronger effect. Project resilience, in turn, has a robust positive impact on project success, highlighting its strategic value beyond mere survival. Notably, while multi-group analysis shows no statistically significant differences between PMO-supported and non-PMO-supported projects, this does not undermine the importance of PMMM and PMO support. Instead, it reinforces that structured governance and maturity practices are considered baseline expectations in high-reliability industries, rather than distinct differentiators of project resilience.

This research investigates the mediating effect of Innovative Behavior on the relationship between Emotional Intelligence, Intellectual Intelligence, and supply chain performance. Data were collected from 198 employees of water supply companies across five major cities in Central Java, using purposive sampling and analyzed through structural equation modeling. The findings indicate that both Emotional Intelligence and Intellectual Intelligence positively and significantly impact supply chain performance. Additionally, Innovative Behavior not only positively influences supply chain performance but also mediates the relationship between Emotional and Intellectual Intelligence with supply chain performance. The study suggests that enhancing Emotional and Intellectual Intelligence through Innovative Behavior can significantly improve supply chain performance in water supply companies. Organizations are recommended to incorporate Emotional Intelligence into selection and training programs, develop initiatives to boost Emotional and Intellectual Intelligence through training in areas such as emotional management, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity, and create a supportive work environment that encourages innovative behavior. Implementing these strategies can lead to more efficient operations, better resource management, and increased customer satisfaction, thereby enhancing overall supply chain performance.

This study investigates whether gender differences exist in the levels of sustainable project management competencies and awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 9 (Resilient Infrastructure) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), among College of Business students at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. A questionnaire was employed to assess six key sustainable competencies: communication, leadership, management, cognitive ability, effectiveness, and professionalism. The sample consisted of 63 students from diverse business disciplines, including accounting, finance, management information systems, and human resources. The questionnaire was developed based on an extensive review of the literature and validated by experienced educators. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and the Mann-Whitney U test to examine gender differences in competency levels and SDG awareness. The findings reveal significant gender differences, with female students demonstrating higher mean ranks across all competencies and SDG awareness compared to their male counterparts. These results suggest that gender may play a significant role in the development of sustainable project management competencies and the understanding of global sustainability challenges. This study contributes to the literature by offering valuable insights into how gender influences students’ potential to engage with SDGs, particularly SDG 9 and SDG 11. The findings emphasize the importance of incorporating sustainable project management competencies into academic curricula to enhance students' awareness of SDGs, and they highlight the need for gender-sensitive educational strategies that promote inclusive sustainability education.

Digital transformation refers to technological application with a comprehensive shift in corporate governance's mindset, structure, and strategy. In particular, digital transformation project management is key in ensuring that digital transformation initiatives are implemented on schedule and achieve the set goals. This study investigates the importance of a leader's project management competence and other internal factors in successfully implementing digital transformation projects. Through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data collected from questionnaires administered to 436 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam shows that all four internal factors included in the model directly affect the transform digital ability and indirectly affects the level of digital transformation of SMEs, in which the most decisive influence comes from digital transformation strategy, followed by the influence of corporate culture, technology platform and finally workforce competence. More specifically, this study has demonstrated that an enterprise's digital transformation can be considered a project, and the leader's project management competence determines the project's success. The project management capacity of the enterprise leaders not only directly affects the digital transformation results but also plays a positive moderator in the association between digital transformation capability and the digital transformation level of SMEs. The results suggest several recommendations for leaders of SMEs in Thanh Hoa Province to improve project management capacity, thereby promoting the digital transformation process.

A majority of companies are involved in the planning and execution of projects. The number of projects that companies need to evaluate has significantly increased in recent years. This trend has various causes, such as the digitalization of corporate processes, diversification, or strategic positioning in the face of ever-changing market conditions. The characterization of projects into mandatory and optional, as well as the evaluation of these projects, can be conducted based on various mixed criteria, which may include both cost and benefit criteria. The limited resources of companies necessitate a critical assessment of projects. They must be ranked based on realistic and plausible criteria regarding their benefits and objectives of the company. In the literature, various approaches to project evaluation exist. Examples include financial assessment, the utilization of evaluation models considering risks, or even multi-criteria models that incorporate different aspects of projects into the evaluation process. We propose a robust, scalable, and easily calibrated multi-criteria evaluation model for project evaluation and ranking, encompassing evaluation criteria such as financial criteria measured by Net Present Value (NPV), Risk, Classification, Priority, Strategy, and Sustainability. To achieve this goal, the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution with multi type projects multi mixed cost and benefit criteria (TOPSIS-MTPMMCBC) is employed. The model is adapted to evaluate and rank optional and mandatory projects. An important feature of the projects in this study is that the criteria values of the projects can have negative or positive values. Particularly noteworthy is the increasing significance of sustainability as a key criterion for businesses, driven by political mandates. Consequently, a decision based on the criterion of sustainability will be important in the future and is implemented in the proposed model. The proposed research can be adapted to use a variety of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as multiple decision criteria. An objective calculation of the criteria weights for sample dataset was carried out using the CRITIC method, followed by a sensitivity analysis. Subsequently, the optimization of the project portfolio was carried out by combining an integer programming model with the proposed TOPSIS-MTPMMCBC method. An initial solution of project evaluation and ranking is conducted to demonstrate the applications.

This study examined the impact of activity-based Costing ABC and information technology IT on decision-making and competitive advantage in Sudanese industrial projects. The experimental results of this study were based on a questionnaire administered to accountants and administrators in 61 industrial projects in Sudan, and the data were analyzed using partial least squares. The study's results indicate that using activity-based costing and information technology methods in determining costs, evaluating company profits, and approximating product costs positively affects managerial decisions while improving the competitive advantage of industrial projects. The use of activity-based Costing and information technology affects decision-making and competitive advantage in industrial projects in Sudan. The study recommended that continuous training helps obtain the benefits of using activity-based Costing and information technology in industrial projects. The results show that the result gained from using activity-based Costing and information technology in determining costs, decision-making, and expanding competitive advantage has been affected by attending training programs, gradually, based on learning the capabilities of the activity-based costing system and the information technology system.

Student learning and how their lessons are delivered have been dramatically changed by COVID-19 pandemic, as evidenced by the widespread utilization of e-learning systems when the pandemic hit. However, the use of e-learning among students worldwide has not been as effective. The e-learning systems success model after the pandemic should be revised. This study examined the role of monitoring quality to validate the e-learning systems success using previous e-learning and information systems success models. Structural equation model was used in data analysis, involving data obtained from 800 students. Results demonstrated positive impacts of information quality, system quality and service quality, on user satisfaction, and positive impact of system use of user on student satisfaction and consequently on student loyalty. Monitoring quality did not show a positive impact on user satisfaction. Significant impact of user satisfaction on learning effectiveness was also shown. This study showed some significant implications for e-learning systems success models both in theory and in practice.

This study explores the relationship between supply chain practices and sustainability efforts, with the understanding that logistics strategies can have profound impacts on economic growth, society, and environmental conservation. The primary objective of the research is to identify ways in which organizations can improve their supply chains to achieve more favorable sustainability outcomes by examining the relationship between the supply chain and sustainability performance. Data was collected through a questionnaire designed and distributed to 43 companies in the basic materials sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The questionnaire data were analyzed using SPSS and Smartpls. The results indicate that supply chains in the basic materials sector in the Kingdom are operating effectively and positively, impacting the promotion of economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The insights from this study can help advance the understanding of how supply chains can drive sustainability improvements while developing a more robust economic framework for sustainability and resource management for stakeholders.
