The aim of this research was to determine the differences between the young football players (U19) in terms of anthropometric characteristics and body composition of three the most successful clubs in three countries of the southern region of the Balkan Peninsula. These are FC Sutjeska from Montenegro, CSC Zrinjski from Bosnia and Herzegovina and FC Prishtina from Kosovo. This survey involved a sample of fifty-three young football players. In Montenegro, the measures have been established for thirteen young football players of FC Sutjeska of the average age 17.62±.87, in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 27 players of CSC Zrinjski of the average age of 17.33±.78, and in Kosovo for 13 players of FC Prishtina of the average age 17.77±.59. Football players were tested immediately after the end of the competition season 2018/19. Anthropometric characteristics and the body composition were evaluated by a battery of 11 variables: body height, body weight, triceps skinfold, biceps skinfold, skinfold of the back, abdominal skinfold, upper leg skinfold, lower leg skinfold, body mass index, fat percentage and muscle mass. The significance of the differences between the young football players of the three the most successful football clubs in their countries in the anthropometric characteristics and variables for assessing body composition were determined by ANOVA test. ANOVA test found that the young football players of the three mentioned clubs don’t have statistically significant differences by the variables.

Even though free throws account for approximately 20% of all points in a basketball game, practicing free throws is often not given enough attention. We analyse the efficiency of practicing free throws with a reduced diameter rim to monitor the changes of successful free throws and the changes of the angle of ball entry. Our sample included 57 top young basketball players, aged 15 to 18. After the experimental programme of practicing free throws, the efficiency of the free throws did not increase (neither during testing nor during competition) and neither did the angle of ball entry. The angle of entry with a standard and a reduced diameter rim are strongly correlated (r = 0.86) – most players retain their own shooting trajectory, regardless of the diameter of the rim. It seems that using a reduced diameter rim by itself, without instruction, does not lead to an increase of the angle of entry.

Eating disorders are an emerging problem, especially adolescence is a delicate phase of life. In aesthetic athletes, sport specifics factors play an important role in developing eating disorders. The primary goal of study was to compare the prevalence of risk of eating disorders among athletes and non-athletes and secondary to observe the differences in body composition and eating habits. A total of 167 girls and 164 boys, aged 15 – 17 years completed a sick, control, onestone, fat, food (SCOFF) questionnaire for detecting risk for eating disorders. Weight and body composition were measured using a bioelectrical impedance machine. Overall, 34,1 % of athletes and 39,8 % of controls were classified as at risk for eating disorders with higher prevalence among girls and no differences between athletes and non-athletes. There were no significant differences in body composition between at-risk and no risk group, but average values shows tendency in percentage of fat and muscle mass. Skipping breakfast can increase risk of eating disorders. These finding demonstrate that not only BMI, but also specific body composition parameters should be studied in the future when identifying at-risk groups for eating disorders and skipping breakfast can lead to eating disorders which are expressed as low body mass.
