ABSTRACT This article presents some results about creativity, which I had the opportunity to implement during my professional work such as Gamboa’s rule. It is a new rule created to develop the whole division of polynomials which can be used as a complement to the previous ones and it is of special interest because it is more simple than the general algorithm for the division of polynomials, and it is based on the method of the undetermined coefficients, considering the divisor polynomial as a binomial to lean in the rule of Ruffini. With this rule there is a gain in generality with respect to Ruffini’s and Homer’s rules, because it can be used to divide a polynomial by any polynomial of smaller or equal degree. With respect to the method of the undetermined coefficients is very simple and easy to work; besides the risks of possible calculation errors are reduced. Michel´s triangles were made to help the students understand some aspects of fractal Geometry through different examples. KEY WORDS: Polynomials, division, algebra, fractal geometry.
