The results of the study of the influence of wide-aperture rotating gliding discharge on the germination of microgreen seeds under different conditions are presented. Vibrational Tv and rotational Trtemperatures of wide-aperture rotating gliding discharge plasma were determined. The dependences of the germination percentage of microgreen seeds germinated after planting at different time intervals of treatment with a wide-aperture rotating gliding discharge were investigated. The optimal treatment time of microgreen seeds by wide-aperture rotating gliding discharge was determined.

Ozone therapy for treating wounds is not commonly used in many regards and such a technology is still being developed even with extremely promising results. The most important key of wound treatment with ozone is its ability to eliminate bacterial growth and population. In this regard there is an urgent need for alternative options for antiseptic treatment of wounds at the stage of evacuation and pre-medical care for their further effective treatment. In this research, a portable ozone generating device for wound treatment has been developed and the main technical characteristics have been discussed.

The integral yields of the photonuclear reactions 118Sn(,n)117mSn and 124Sn(,n)123mSn, which are of interest for studying scenarios of the formation of atomic nuclei in stars, are measured in the near-threshold energy region. The experimental data are compared with the results of theoretical calculations performed using the TALYS nuclear reaction code. The dependence of theoretical predictions on the choice of models of the nuclear level density and the radiative strength function is investigated.

The process of the creation of an electron-positron pair at the scattering of a polarized high-energy photon (photo-trident) in the field of a monochromatic linearly polarized electromagnetic wave was investigated in the framework of the resonance approximation. This approximation allows to neglect the interference of amplitudes, i.e. resonance for each amplitude occurs in different kinematic regions. Despite these simplifications the expression for the probability for the investigated process, which has a second order in the fine structure constant, is sufficiently cumbersome. That is a consequence of the polarization properties of the intermediate state. And only for the case of linear polarization of the wave and an unpolarized initial photon, the probability of a photo-trident is factorized into the product of the probabilities of the first-order subprocesses into which the sequence of the studied process is divided.

An intense cylindrical magnetic field is considered in which potential well is created with the help of additional magnets. It is shown that the motion of electrons can be associated with model of three-dimensional oscillations in potential well. The results of numerical simulation of electron trajectories in gradient magnetic field with point secondary emission cathode located in the middle of the system are presented. The formation of the beam with energy of 55 keV in the radial and longitudinal directions during its transportation in solenoidal field with large gradient is considered. The operating modes of the gun are obtained, in which the particle experiences stable three-dimensional vibrations. The influence of the initial conditions during emission on the occurrence of oscillations is studied. It is shown that for the given electron energy and the fixed magnetic field, the parameter that determines the stability of particle motion is the polar angle of entry relative to the axis of the cylindrical magnetic field.

The results of the development of an experimental sample of a radiometer for measuring the concentration of radon in the air are presented. The application of an air pumping system and a combination of four Si planar detector plates made it possible to increase the sensitivity of the radiometer, which significantly expands its possibilities for use in both open and closed air ventilation systems. The developed software allows to measure and analyze the spectra of alpha particles in real time and evaluate the radon content in the specified time.

Acceleration by the wakefield in the plasma can provide compact sources of relativistic electron beams of high brightness. Free electron lasers and particle colliders, using plasma wakefield accelerators, require high efficiency and beams with low energy spread. In this paper, we investigated by numerical simulation the focusing of Gaussiankind bunches by a passive plasma lens depending on their length. We have shown that for a homogeneous focusing field and to prevent loss of energy from bunches, the presence of an electron bunch-precursor is necessary. This plasma lens decreases the energy spread of bunches, since the first front of the bunch, which is of more energy, is in decelerating field, and its back front, which is of smaller energy, is in accelerating field. In addition, we investigated the evolution of the bunches with time to visually demonstrate the effect of the plasma lens in the wakefield accelerator.

The energy and design parameters of some vircator systems are considered. Calculated cutoff frequencies for the main E and H modes of the DIN-2K accelerator waveguides with electron beam parameters: ~ 15 kA and ~ 185 kV. The characteristic frequencies of oscillations of the virtual cathode depending on the distance of the anode-cathode gap were calculated. Experimentally obtained amplitude-frequency spectra (up to 6 GHz) in the far zone of electromagnetic radiation (Fraunhofer zone) for a horn antenna.

The probe-forming system of a nuclear scanning microprobe based on a quadruplet of magnetic quadrupole lenses with three independent power supplies has been studied. In the stigmatic focusing mode, the third power supply is a free parameter affecting the ion-optical properties of the microprobe. The optimal system was selected as a result of solving an optimization problem in which the figure of merit was the reduced collimated acceptance. The numerical simulation of the beam focusing process in that one-parametric system, taking into account the experimentally measured distribution of protons in the trajectory phase space, showed that the dimensions of the beam spot on the target can be reduced several times compared to the working system. At the same time, the current density in the focused spot increases by about one order.

One of the disadvantages of polycrystalline scintillators is a significant degradation of their scintillation and optical characteristics with an increase in thickness of a scintillator. This work proposes a new approach to obtaining the initial material for polycrystals based on p-terphenyl, in which zone melting and an additional stage of reverse movement allows producing material for pressing in the form of an ingot. This method of producing polycrystals provides a significant improvement in their scintillation and optical haracteristics in relation to existing analogues.
