The subject of our study is precisely the understanding of how the memory of someone disappears in the history of Bulgarian literature and how the nomination of this process change from the Old Bulgarian language to today. In the Old Bulgarian translation of the Bible we see two frazeologisms: пог№бити / потрѣбити памѧть and погыбнеть памѧть кого. But in modern dictionaries, these colocations are not presented as idiomatic phrases. Data from the history of the literary Bulgarian language provide a basis for their lexicography. In this way, part of the Cyril and Methodius written heritage, preserved in the Bible, will be updated. Biblical idiomatic phrases, Old Bulgarian classical works, lexical variants, history of Bulgarian language.

The paper analyses the travelogue genre and verifies its suitability in education after the planned curricular reform. This is illustrated by the travelogue Z cestovního denníka záletu z Vídne do Benátek [From the Travel Diary of a Journey from Vienna to Venice], in which Kuzmány describes his experiences on a trip to Italy. Emphasis is placed on how nature, climate and other landscape features are reflected in the author-traveller's countryside image. In addition to exploring the text-formation mechanisms and the description of natural, cultural and social realities, the paper reveals the relationship between the reality depicted and the landscape visited. Thus, in the context of the contemporary atmosphere and cultural events, the proposed work not only conceives the form of the travelogue genre in the 19th century but also reflects on the possibilities of its use in various natural or social science-oriented subjects (in addition to Slovak language and literature, in history, geography and religious education). This is also reflected in the structure of the analysis of the selected travelogue. Travelogue, K. Kuzmány, Italy, education reform, interdisciplinarity.

The paper highlights the importance of communication with a family at the time of loss of a loved one. Communication with survivors, who may be parents, siblings but also grandparents or schoolmates, is described and seen as a communication in crisis. The authors see the form and manner of this communication as a necessary form of intervention after the loss of a loved one and as one of the important pillars of so-called grief therapy. In times of crisis, in the "aftermath" of the death of a loved one, words can and often do, in the authors' experience, have enormous power. Word art, the book, the Bible, often brings parallels with real life. A word, a story, a fairy-tale has great power because it is a carrier of an idea, a carrier of a story, a carrier of a message. The message contained in a story educates us, makes us think, and makes us respond to ourselves and to others to often painful experiences. In many ways, it shows the way. The authors see the justification for using the so-called therapeutic text as a form of intervention after a loss and in time of grieving. Communication, communication about death, terminal illness, death, intervention, crisis, therapy, family, special educator, text.

This paper deals with the transmission of tradition and Christian values in pedagogy, which are a firm part of philosophical and pedagogical thought in the European area. We are living in a time of profound ethical, social and cultural changes in an opinion-plural atmosphere of social relations. The use of appropriate language therefore remains an important didactic tool in values education today. An equally important element in the transmission of values to future generations is dealing with the content of moral education in the family and in schools. The paper focused mainly on the assessment of the state of moral education in our primary schools. It presents the results of a research probe on this topic, which brings us closer to how the content goals of moral education in Slovak primary schools are set. These are implemented in its various forms such as value, ethical, pro-social or character education. European pedagogical thought, traditions and Christian values in pedagogy, moral education in contemporary schools.

The paper describes the current state of documentation of Cyrillic manuscripts in Slovak archives and museums. It points to the inevitable need for their systematic description from the formal and content point of view, which will enable, in particular, a deeper understanding of the processes of inter-confessional communication in the Slovak as well as in the wider Slavic and European context. Such documentary research is a challenging topic, which is, however, only partially supported by a project in the Slovak academic environment, but only teamwork is most important to achieve the result, and such a team is mainly composed of individuals not only professionally prepared, but also personally interested in finding common solutions. Cyrillic manuscripts, Church Slavonic, vernacular language, cataloguing.

The important Slovak thinker, essayist, poet and physician Pavol Strauss (1912 -1994) created the Christian line in the spectrum of Central European cultural development with his testimony of life and work. Within the literary context of the 20th century, it is possible to connect his work to generational comrades from Slovak Catholic modernism. The aim of the study is to analyse the values and virtues in the selected work of Paul Strauss. Because in Christianity, a system of virtues was gradually formed, which have their hierarchy in the spiritual life of a person. A good person should use these abilities correctly. The four cardinal virtues (wisdom, fortitude, meekness, justice) are particularly important, with which many other human moral virtues are closely related. Several testimonies that Pavol Strauss was characterized by those virtues can be found on the website http://www.pavolstrauss.sk/, where Spolok priateľov MUDr. Pavla Straussa [Society of Friends of Dr. Pavol Strauss] has been trying to provide a broader scientific and popular education about his life and work. It usually publishes the magazine Listy Pavla Straussa [Letters of Pavol Strauss] once or twice a year, participates in the publication of the author's work in various book re-editions, archives many sources, information and links to television documentaries and radio programmes dedicated to him. The given analysis of values and virtues in the selected work of Pavol Strauss thus brings an interpretive view of how they are reflected in the consciousness of the contemporary recipient.
