Book Chapter10.1007/978-3-031-02119-0_3Problems Beyond RepresentationJan 01, 2017Synthesis lectures on games and computational intelligenceEun-Youn Kim + 1 more +1This chapter chronicles selected examples from a long series of attempts to document which factor affects the outcomes of evolutionary training of agents playing simple mathematical games. Many recent studies attempt to model human or animal behavior by evolving agents to play a mathematical game, and do so without controlling for factors with a large potential impact on the results. In this chapter we follow up on the results from changing the agent representation in Chapter 2 and examine other factors that can have a significant impact on evolutionary agent training systems.Read moreCiteListenSave
