Jonathan Edwards was a colonial pastoral leader and theologian in the United States. Edwards is considered one of the greatest American theologians, excelling as a preacher; however, his importance as a theological educator has received little attention. This conceptual article examines the significance of his educational legacy for Christian educators in the twenty-first century. Edwards espoused holistic theological education with an emphasis on the heart and affections. At the same time, however, he supported slavery, contradicting his theological anthropology. As Christian educators, we would benefit from receiving his invitations, imitating his faith, and learn from his mistakes.

The 2300, 1290, 1335, and the supposed 1260 days in Daniel have received varied reckonings depending on the interpretation method to which one subscribes. The current study examines the direct speech of the angel speaking to Daniel and, based on these words, tries to investigate whether there might be possible interpretation errors in the existing popular interpretative views. To do this, the study examines and derives meaning from the direct speech of the angel himself. The research findings show that the ‘1260’ and the 1290 days are actually two versions of one and the same dispensation (running from around 167 BC when the temple was defiled by Antiochus (IV) Epiphanes-163 BC when Antiochus died). Just like the ‘1260’ and the 1290 days, the 1335 days also start around 167 BC and end in 163 BC. Finally, the 2300 days start from the murder of Onias III in 171 BC to the cleansing of the sanctuary by Judas Maccabeus in 164 BC. Thus, a keen analysis of the angel’s actual words will reveal that these days actually concerned precise timings on particular future events that were to transpire during the fierce Maccabean war between the Jews and the Seleucids, meaning they were to be literal not prophetic/symbolic days.

With the electrification of the automobile, requests to the measures of brake noise and drag has been increasing more and more. In the future, it will be need to consider measures from the functional design which is more upstream stage in order to respond to the required accuracy. In the stage of functional design, firstly, it is important to elucidate the fundamental mechanisms and it needs model which can be represent the mechanisms. In this paper, we reproduce the theoretical model of brake squeal by using a physical model based on 1DCAE which is one of the effective method in the functional design.

This article calls for balancing attention given to both who we are and whose we are in Christian teaching. Such a stance honors the individuality of persons and their connections to the Christian community and tradition. These are insights gained from writing an educational memoir with suggestions shared for memoir writing.

Abstract Inspired by Jacob Olupona's important book, I provide an account of the Yorùbá political theology of sovereign flesh by examining the “five bodies” of the Ooni of Ifẹ̀. I then correlate the king's five bodies with the five dimensions of the Ifá divination tray and also deploy them to formulate principles of interreligious dialogue between Pentecostalism and traditional religion.

The relationship between the concepts of spirituality and religion remains unclear in the field of management, spirituality, and religion (MSR). If the field is to mature, more clarity must be attained. This paper examines the MSR literature to date, drawing out a number of possible juxtapositions of the two terms. It then offers six propositions to identify the underlying issues of the debate and to help guide future research in the field.
