Read moreChallenges of Law Enforcement in Combating Cryptocurrency Based Money Laundering In Indonesia
The rapid development of cryptocurrency as a digital financial asset has introduced new challenges for the prevention and eradication of money laundering crimes. While cryptocurrencies offer efficiency, decentralization, and borderless transactions, these very characteristics also create significant vulnerabilities for misuse, particularly in facilitating illicit financial flows. In Indonesia, the existing legal framework on anti-money laundering, primarily regulated under Law Number 8 of 2010, was formulated prior to the widespread adoption of cryptocurrency and therefore faces limitations in addressing technology-driven financial crimes. This article examines the challenges of law enforcement in combating cryptocurrency-based money laundering in Indonesia through a normative juridical approach. The study analyzes relevant statutory regulations, institutional authority, and enforcement mechanisms involving agencies such as PPATK, Bappebti, the Financial Services Authority, and law enforcement bodies. The findings indicate that law enforcement faces substantial obstacles, including regulatory fragmentation, jurisdictional complexities, difficulties in tracing blockchain-based transactions, evidentiary constraints, and limited technical capacity among enforcement institutions. Furthermore, the absence of comprehensive regulation concerning decentralized finance and non-custodial digital wallets exacerbates enforcement difficulties. This article argues that without regulatory harmonization, enhanced institutional coordination, and the integration of technological capabilities into law enforcement practices, the Indonesian legal system risks lagging behind the evolving landscape of financial crime. Strengthening adaptive legal frameworks is therefore essential to ensure effective anti-money laundering enforcement in the digital asset era.
Read moreInfluence of borax addition on setting behavior and mechanical properties of Class F fly ash geopolymer concrete
The role of borax as a setting-time modifier in Class F fly ash-based geopolymer concrete is not yet well understood. Particularly with respect to its effects on mechanical and fresh properties. This research investigates the influence of borax incorporation on the properties of geopolymer concrete. Class F fly ash from the Tanjung Jati B power plant was used. Borax was added at fly ash weights of about 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%. Tests were arranged to observe setting time, compressive strength, elastic modulus, and slump value to assess mechanical performance and workability. The results represent, borax effectively prolongs the initial and final setting times, with greater effectiveness in Class F fly ash (low CaO) than in Class C fly ash (high CaO). The addition of 5% borax resulted in a higher compressive strength and modulus of elasticity. However, higher borax dosages reduced mechanical properties by inhibiting geopolymerization. An increase in borax content reduced slump values, reflecting lower workability due to higher mixture viscosity. While borax can effectively regulate setting time in Class F fly ash–based geopolymer concrete, its dosage must be carefully optimized to prevent negative effects on strength and fresh concrete performance.

Read moreA Systematic Literature Review of Hybrid Multi-Criteria Decision-Making and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution Methods for Construction Material Supplier Selection
Choosing the right supplier is critical in construction supply chain management, as it directly impacts cost, schedule, and material quality. This paper presents a systematic review of the integration of the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) with hybrid Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods for building material supplier selection. Following the PRISMA procedure and quality assessment criteria adapted from CASP, JBI, and Kitchenham et al., only Scopus-indexed articles from 2020–2025 were considered. Out of 227 initial records, seven studies met all inclusion and quality criteria. Results showed increasing use of hybrid MCDM approaches, primarily in Asian contexts. Common weighting techniques included the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Best–Worst Method (BWM), and rough set theory, while advanced methods such as Rough–Dombi BWM, game-theoretic approaches, fuzzy–rough systems, and Entropy–G1 weighting were used to handle uncertainty and complex decision problems. Fuzzy-based representations, particularly Triangular Fuzzy Numbers, were widely employed, with evaluation criteria focused on cost, quality, risk, sustainability, and delivery performance. Hybrid MCDM–TOPSIS frameworks generally produced more consistent and structured decision outcomes. However, findings are limited due to the small number of studies. Key research gaps include insufficient empirical validation in developing-country contexts, limited incorporation of sustainability factors, and practical challenges related to data quality and computational complexity. Future research should prioritize real-world applications, integrate sustainability more thoroughly, and develop user-friendly decision-support tools for construction practitioners.
Read moreInformation relevance perspective: Boosting market engagement through social influencer-generated content
The businesses are developing dynamically and need brilliant ideas to be sustainable in the market. One of them is using influencers as an effective tool for their marketing activities. Although some studies discuss how influencers are one of the most effective marketing tools, few discuss the relationship between the influencers and social media users. Therefore, businesses must know several factors that may influence this relationship between the two. This study is based on the theory of information relevance. Therefore, the findings have been presented to show the link between influencer-generated content with emotional attachment and the quality of the information in deducing the relationship between influencers and consumers on social media. Results from 230 respondents indicated that influencer-generated content that is interesting, updated, reliable, and understandable to consumers is more able to increase the emotional interest of consumers in the influencers. Reliability and understandability contribute positively to information quality. This encourages the consumer to follow or recommend the influencer to many on social media. This can also boost the popularity of influencers on social media. The study should help researchers and businesses improve their understanding of the social media relationship between influencers and consumers. In addition, it also offers recommendations regarding influencer performance management for businesses.

The peatlands in Kalimantan exhibit diverse geomorphological characteristics, but their initiation timing and drivers remain unclear due to limited chronological data. Using 55 radiocarbon ages and Bayesian age‒depth modeling of 15 peat cores, we reconstructed the development and carbon accumulation histories of inland and coastal peatlands in West and East Kalimantan. Coastal peat initiation occurred during the middle Holocene, coinciding with postglacial sea-level high stands, whereas inland peat formation began in the late Pleistocene. Carbon accumulation rates peaked in the middle Holocene (coastal: 63–72 g C m−2 yr−1; inland: 53–89 g C m−2 yr−1) under stable hydrological conditions but declined in the late Holocene (coastal: 49–55 g C m−2 yr−1; inland: 58–63 g C m−2 yr−1). The total decline rate was insignificant, at approximately 0.68 Mt C yr−1. These findings indicate that a sustained water balance is crucial for long-term peat growth and carbon sequestration and that hydrological disruption reduces the carbon storage. The current decline in the carbon sequestration capacity of drained tropical peatlands in Kalimantan is 32.4 Mt C yr−1 (118 Mt CO2-eq yr−1) over a 40-year period, representing approximately 47.5 times the natural decline in carbon sequestration over the past 4000 years.Supplementary InformationThe online version contains supplementary material available at 10.1038/s41598-026-35152-x.
Read moreSPECIAL AUTONOMY AND PROTECTION OF CUSTOMARY LAND RIGHTS IN WEST PAPUA: PROMISE OR ILLUSION?
This study examines the application of the principle of special autonomy in the recognition and protection of customary land rights of indigenous communities in West Papua Province and the obstacles to its implementation. Customary rights encompass not only physical land ownership but also the cultural and social values of indigenous communities. A qualitative normative approach was used, using literature studies and analysis of relevant legal documents. The results show that although Law Number 21 of 2001 and its derivative regulations legally recognize customary rights, their implementation is still hampered by conflicts of interest, overlapping claims to customary territories, weak inter-agency coordination, and minimal participation of indigenous communities in decision-making. Conflicts are further complicated by the lack of application of the principle of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) in projects in customary territories. Other obstacles include the limited capacity of customary institutions and social changes that weaken indigenous community solidarity. The study emphasizes the importance of strengthening customary institutions, legal assistance, and synergy between the government, indigenous communities, and stakeholders in developing affirmative policies based on local cultural values. Strategic recommendations include the drafting of Special Regional Regulations (Perdasus) and Provincial Regulations (Perdasi), legal training, and increased cross-institutional coordination to ensure effective and sustainable protection of customary rights in West Papua.
