This note from the field is about a nexus of queer kink subcultures and consent-based intimacy work in theatre. I report, investigate and wrangle with the process of incorporating queer kink into a university production of Love and Information by Caryl Churchill I directed. What I have learned and hope to demonstrate throughout this paper, is that queer kink subcultures are paradigmatic communities built on consent, and we as performing arts practitioners can more visibly expand the margins of our cultural competency dialogues to not only include them but look to them as productive modes to investigate relationships of power, embodiment and performance. 
 

To illustrate possible improvements in recording of gender identity, we investigated discrepancies between gender identity from medical examiner (ME) death investigations and sex as recorded in the final death record. Evaluation of a database used to record information related to medicolegal death investigation with matching to state vital records. Kappa analysis was used to measure concordance between both systems. The Portland, Oregon, metro area (Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties) and deaths investigated by the Offices of each County Medical Examiner between January 2011 and September 2020. Epidemiologists identified incongruous data that have significant negative implications for transgender populations. Epidemiologists identified key actions that, if taken by death investigators, death record software, and the federal death certificate form, will rectify harmful data discrepancies. Concordance of gender identity and sex in ME data and death record, respectively. We identified 51 deaths in transgender persons; the majority were classified as transgender female (71%). The κ statistic was -0.0657, indicating poor concordance between the gender identity in ME investigation and the death certificate in vital records. Information gathered via medicolegal death investigations is foundational to effective public health/public safety response; MEs and coroners are often the first to document emerging health threats. Discrepancies in official death records impede accurate surveillance of a population disproportionately at risk of violent death.

Benign prostatic hypertrophy is the inflammation of prostate gland. Symptoms may include frequent urination, trouble starting to urinate, inability to urinate or loss of bladder control. Overtime if untreated it may leads to urinary tract infection, renal stones and kidney failure.

Cuba and Puerto Rico have much in common and have been referred to in a poem by Lola Rodrguez de To as "son de un pjaro las dos alas" (two wings of one bird). Throughout their histories, they have faced similar challenges in maintaining food security and ecosystem health. Global climate change now threatens both islands with parallel challenges to their similar cropping systems, forests, and producer demographics. Rising temperatures and resultant shifts in climate patterns have led to an increased occurrence of drought, punctuated by tropical storms and hurricanes of increasing intensity. Both Puerto Rico and Cuba have historically found innovative ways to harness the ingenuity and resilience of their people. Building new partnerships and frameworks for technology transfer, knowledge sharing, and innovation across the Caribbean islands has the potential to enhance adaptive capacity, food security, and ecosystem services, and to ensure that the islands are prepared for climatic changes in coming decades. This report provides a brief historical overview of the agricultural and forestry sectors in Cuba, outlines regional climate projections and their expected effects on working lands in both Cuba and Puerto Rico, and broadly assesses adaptive capacity and vulnerability, making suggestions for building adaptive and resilient working lands systems.

In the region, which is a Cartesian product of a segment on the p -dimensional torus, the boundary-value problem with Dirichlet – Neumann conditions in the chosen variable and the conditions 2π-periodicity in the other coordinates for high-order linear partial differential equations with constant coefficients has been investigated. The conditions of unique solvability for the problem have been established and its solution in the form of the series in the system of orthogonal functions has been constructed. We introduce Screen Space 3D Diff, an interactive method for fast and reliable visual differencing on the web. This method is based on the properties of 3D scenes in 2D space such as depth, color, normals, UV, texture, etc. The central idea states that if two objects project into the same screen space with identical properties, they can be assumed to be identical; otherwise, they are different. In comparison to previous works that require large computational overheads in 3D space, our approach is significantly easier to implement and faster to determine disparities. This is because screen space methods scale with resolution and not scene complexity. They also lend themselves to massive parallelization on modern GPU hardware, and have the added advantage of being accurate at pixel level regardless of magnification. The combination of these benefits allows for instant real-time differencing with minimal disruption to the rendering pipeline even on web browsers. We demonstrate two different implementations of this method; one in a desktop application and one in Unity 3D game engine on the web. The performance of the proposed method across a range of devices is presented and practical benefits of our approach are further evaluated in a user study of twenty professionals with several large-scale models that are typical of the Building Information Modelling paradigm. Based on this evaluation we conclude that our method is invaluable in day-to-day engineering workflows and is well suited to its purpose.

Artificial insemination by frozen semen is a major approach for diseases transmission. This work intended to scan the buffalo bull semen for brucellosis caused by Br. melitensis, toxoplasmosis caused by Toxoplasma gondii and Neosporosis caused by Neospora caninum using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). Fifty bulls were used in this study. Semen was assessed for volume, motility, viability, and chromatin damage. Total genomic DNA was extracted from buffalo semen and amplified by PCR. The results showed that, semen samples were positive to toxoplasmosis in 6% of the semen samples, while all the semen samples were totally negative to brucellosis and neosporosis. No significant differences were found in the semen characteristics between bulls positive and that were negative to toxoplasmosis. In conclusion, the present trial suggests the opportunity of venereal transmission of T. gondii among buffaloes .However, further investigations are required using high number of semen samples from different localities of Egypt.
