A comunicação processual entre a Justiça Eleitoral e os entes partidários municipais enfrenta obstáculos significativos, sobretudo pela desatualização recorrente de dados no Sistema de Gerenciamento de Informações Partidárias (SGIP) e pela ausência de ferramentas padronizadas para citações e intimações. Essas falhas comprometem a duração razoável e a eficiência dos processos de prestação de contas anuais, afetando a transparência e a legitimidade eleitoral. O presente estudo investiga se a Cooperação Judiciária Nacional pode oferecer soluções eficazes para tais problemas sem necessidade de alterações legislativas. A pesquisa adota abordagem qualitativa e exploratória, com base em revisão bibliográfica (CPC/2015, Lei nº 11.419/2006, Res. CNJ nº 350/2020 e Res. TSE nº 23.604/2019) e análise de experiências institucionais. Utilizou-se o método monográfico aliado a uma perspectiva indutiva, identificando práticas aplicáveis no contexto eleitoral. Os objetivos foram: (i) compreender os entraves da comunicação com entes partidários municipais; (ii) analisar o potencial da Cooperação Judiciária como instrumento integrador e eficiente; e (iii) propor protocolos e soluções tecnológicas que permitam integrar os sistemas partidários ao Processo Judicial Eletrônico (PJe), garantindo maior celeridade e segurança. Os resultados sugerem que a Cooperação Judiciária Nacional, apoiada em instrumentos normativos já vigentes, é um caminho viável para centralizar a comunicação processual, reduzir atrasos e assegurar maior efetividade e transparência. Reconhece-se, contudo, a existência de barreiras institucionais, tecnológicas e culturais que exigem superação. Sugere-se, por fim, a realização de projetos-piloto em Tribunais Regionais Eleitorais, de modo a avaliar empiricamente o impacto das medidas propostas e contribuir para o fortalecimento do sistema democrático brasileiro.

PurposeThis study aims to introduce and assess the reliability of a novel intraoperative classification system for categorizing the severity of anteroinferior acetabular wall hypoplasia and assess the relationship between classification and hip instability diagnosis.MethodsThis multicenter, retrospective cohort study evaluated patients who underwent hip arthroscopy with labral repair from 2023-2024. Cases were excluded if visualization or image quality was inadequate, injury was traumatic, or previous rotational osteotomy was indicated. Four independent reviewers with varying levels of experience blindly classified arthroscopic images of the anterior acetabular wall. A numerical grade (1–3) was used to describe the medial-lateral area/shape of the anteroinferior acetabular wall using a novel “shoe” classification to fit each wall into one of three distinct categories: (1) rounded ‘clog’ (no narrowing); (2) bulbous ‘sneaker’ (mild narrowing); (3) sharp ‘stiletto’ (significant / severe narrowing). In addition, a letter grade (A/B) was used to describe anteroinferior distal chondral deficiency, with “A” representing cartilage coverage to or within 1 cm of the transverse acetabular ligament (TAL), and “B” indicating the chondral surface terminating >1cm proximal to the TAL, suggesting severe chondral deficiency. Patient demographics, classification prevalence, and reviewer agreement were assessed.ResultsFifty arthroscopic images from 50 patients met inclusion criteria. Mean age was 33.0±8.3 years, mean BMI was 26.1±6 kg/m2, 74% were female and 90% were white. Thirteen patients (26.0%) were diagnosed with instability, 16 (32.0%) with mild instability, and 21 (42.0%) with no instability. Complete agreement between reviewers on both the numeric grade and letter type classification was reached in 39 hips (78%). Agreement on the numeric grade alone was achieved in 44 hips (88%), with 13 (26%) classified as grade 1, 21 (42%) as grade 2, and 5 (10%) as grade 3. Agreement on the letter classification alone was achieved in 45 hips (90%), with 25 (64%) categorized as type A and 14 (36%) as type B.ConclusionAgreement between reviewers was high for both numeric grade (88%) and letter grade (90%). Future research will validate these findings with inter- and intra-reviewer assessments, larger sample size, and exploring associations with hip instability.

We present a genome assembly from a female Mottled Beauty moth, Alcis repandata (Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The nuclear genome has a total length of 396.40 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.47 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 18,231 protein-coding genes.

Abstract Poor quality of care within Tanzania’s primary health system contributes to thousands of preventable maternal and child deaths, and unwanted pregnancies each year. A key contributor is lack of coordination between three primary healthcare actors: public sector Community Health Workers (CHWs) and health facilities, and private sector Accredited Drug Dispensing Outlets (ADDOs). The Afya-Tek program aims to improve the continuity of care amongst these actors in Kibaha district, through a mobile-application based digital referral system that focuses on improving maternal, child and adolescent health. The digital system called Afya-Tek was co-created with users and beneficiaries, and utilises open-source technology in-line with existing government systems. The system guides healthcare actors with individualised decision support during client visits and recommends accurate next steps (education, treatment, or referral). From July 2020 to June 2023, a total of 241,000 individuals were enrolled in the Afya-Tek program covering 7,557 pregnant women, 6,582 postpartum women, 45,900 children, and 25,700 adolescents. CHWs have conducted a total of 626,000 home visits to provide health services, including screening clients for danger signs. This has resulted in 38,100 referrals to health facilities and 24,300 linkages to ADDOs. At the ADDO level, 48,552 clients self-presented; 33% of children with pneumonia symptoms received Amoxicillin; 34% of children with diarrhoea symptoms received ORS and zinc; and 4,203 referrals were made to nearest health facilities. Adolescents preferred services at ADDOs as a result of increased perceived privacy and confidentiality. In total, 89% of all referrals were attended by health facilities. As the first digital health program in Tanzania to demonstrate the linkage among public and private sector primary healthcare actors, Afya-Tek holds promise to improve maternal, child and adolescent health as well as for scale-up and sustainability, through incorporation of other disease conditions and integration with government’s Unified Community System (UCS).

The genome sequence is 214.5 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 4 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.94 kilobases in length.

Community health workers (CHWs) play a crucial role in the last mile delivery of essential health services to underserved populations in low-income countries. Many nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) provide training and support to enable CHWs to deliver health services to their communities, with no charge to the recipients of the services. This includes monetary compensation for the work that CHWs perform, which is broken down into a series of well defined tasks. In this work, we partner with a NGO D-Tree International to design a fair monetary compensation scheme for tasks performed by CHWs in the semi-autonomous region of Zanzibar in Tanzania, Africa. In consultation with stakeholders, we interpret fairness as the equal opportunity to earn, which means that each CHW has the opportunity to earn roughly the same total payment over a given T month period, if the CHW reacts to the incentive scheme almost rationally. We model this problem as a reward design problem for a Markov Decision Process (MDP) formulation for the CHWs’ earning. There is a need for the mechanism to be simple so that it is understood by the CHWs, thus, we explore linear and piecewise linear rewards in the CHWs’ measured units of work. We solve this design problem via a novel policy-reward gradient result. Our experiments using two real world parameters from the ground provide evidence of reasonable incentive output by our scheme.

Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 24 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the assembled Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.4 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 16,408 protein coding genes.

ZusammenfassungViele traditionelle Industrieunternehmen tun sich sehr schwer damit, neue digitale Geschäftsmodelle zu entwickeln und erfolgreich in den Markt einzuführen. Sie verharren weiterhin vorrangig in ihrem auf den Verkauf technischer Produkte spezialisierten Geschäft, das viele Jahre gute Gewinne abgeworfen hat. Sie unterschätzen aber die Dynamik des Wandels, die durch die zunehmende Digitalisierung und Serviceorientierung der Leistungsangebote entsteht und das traditionelle Sachgutgeschäft sehr schnell unter Druck setzen kann. Der Beitrag stellt die im Rahmen des BMBF-geförderten Forschungsprojekts AgilHybrid identifizierten, zentralen Hürden vor, die Industrieunternehmen überwinden müssen, wenn sie sich zum erfolgreichen Anbieter digitaler Geschäftsmodelle entwickeln wollen. Dabei kam ein Mixed-Methods-Ansatz aus qualitativen und quantitativen Forschungsmethoden zum Einsatz. Strukturiert werden die Erkenntnisse in Hürden bei der Nutzung agiler Arbeitsweisen, Hürden bei der Identifizierung und Entwicklung der notwendigen Kompetenzen und organisationale Hürden der Kernorganisation.Praktische Relevanz: Aus der Analyse erfolgreicher und gescheiterter Vorhaben der beteiligten Partnerunternehmen wurden die wesentlichen Hürden identifiziert, die den Entwicklungserfolg verzögern oder behindern. Die Erkenntnisse wurden in mehrfacher iterativer Interaktion zwischen den Wissenschafts- und Praxispartnern reflektiert und schrittweise Ansätze entwickelt und Interventionen erprobt, wie die identifizierten Hürden überwunden werden können. Ein Praxisbeispiel eines projektbasierten Personalentwicklungsprogramms des beteiligten Unternehmens Wilo SE stellt einen Ansatz vor, wie diese Herausforderungen integriert angegangen und eigene Talente hierfür entwickelt werden können.

Abstract There are currently 4.62 billion users of social media worldwide1. This means that more than half of the population of the world uses social media (58.4%)2. The Oil and Gas sector cannot escape this reality, which is so valuable for communications and positioning strategies. One of the top-valued goals of modern organizations in all sectors is to have a positive presence on social media. For the oil and gas sector, this is particularly needed, as energy transition concepts are not necessarily well understood nor ingrained in society at large, making it difficult to revert any negative public opinion matrix about the sector. The COVID-19 pandemic forced many traditional organizations in the oil and gas sector to embrace social media, increasing their active presence on the main professional online platforms, gaining more engagement with their own employees and society like never before. This paper compares the social media presence of prominent organizations related to oil and gas in 2022, analyzing trends and highlighting opportunities and challenges. A comparison of key elements considered diagnostic in improving the recognition and reputation of oil and gas organizations are addressed in more detail, in particular sustainability and DE&I (gender representation, generally addressed as Diversty, Equity and Inclusion). Conclusions are related to cultural frameworks, selected language for postings, geo-political affinities, and the profile of the companies analyzed. Framing the current trends analyzed resulted in the identification of organizations that are more successful in the utilization of these key channels that are important to general audiences and especially to younger generations. Some unexpected findings shaped our conclusions that strategies needed for step-changes in political or cultural settings benefit greatly from the use of social media and have proven to be effective in furthering women's empowerment and for the uptake of sustainability at the corporate level.

BackgroundEffective equity-focused health policy for hypertension in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) requires an understanding of the condition’s current socioeconomic gradients and how these are likely to change in the future as countries develop economically. ObjectivesThis cross-sectional study aimed to determine how hypertension prevalence in LMICs varies by individuals’ education and household wealth, and how these socioeconomic gradients in hypertension prevalence are associated with a country’s gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. MethodsWe pooled nationally representative household survey data from 76 LMICs. We disaggregated hypertension prevalence by education and household wealth quintile, and used regression analyses to adjust for age and sex. ResultsWe included 1,211,386 participants in the analysis. Pooling across all countries, hypertension prevalence tended to be similar between education groups and household wealth quintiles. The only world region with a clear positive association of hypertension with education or household wealth quintile was Southeast Asia. Countries with a lower GDP per capita had, on average, a more positive association of hypertension with education and household wealth quintile than countries with a higher GDP per capita, especially in rural areas and among men. ConclusionsDifferences in hypertension prevalence between socioeconomic groups were generally small, with even the least educated and least wealthy groups having a substantial hypertension prevalence. Our cross-sectional interaction analyses of GDP per capita with the socioeconomic gradients of hypertension suggest that hypertension may increasingly affect adults in the lowest socioeconomic groups as LMICs develop economically.
