The authors of this article examine the role of visual communication in shaping motivation and behavioural practices aimed at implementing the principles of sustainable development within educational environments. The objective of the study is to provide a theoretical substantiation of the functional and resource-based correlations between visual communication and sustainability, to analyse international experience in implementing visual educational projects, and to develop a pilot Ukrainian project that considers local challenges. The research consistently employs methods such as thematic-relevant literature selection, systematic, comparative, and critical analysis, as well as case studies and a modelling approach. The empirical section is based on the implementation of the pilot educational project VCE&S at the Department of Graphic Design at a university in Kyiv, followed by monitoring of the outcomes through observation, digital analysis of behavioural changes and participant engagement (participants’ activity on social media for real-time visual and textual communication on sustainable development issues). It was found that visual communication exerts not only cognitive but also direct behavioural influence, fostering sustainable ecological habits and civic social responsibility. The results confirm the feasibility of scaling the project and underscore the need for further research into visual strategies within educational systems of various types and regions. The article has international significance as an example of the practical application of visual-communicative approaches to education for sustainable development in the context of social turbulence and military-political instability.

This study explores the strategic shift in terrorist financing methods employed by the Mujahidin Indonesia Timur (MIT) network, specifically the transition from decentralized crowdfunding to centralized single-donor mechanisms. Using a qualitative case study grounded in Fraud Diamond Theory, this research investigates how foreign philanthropic channels are manipulated to support militant operations. The findings reveal that single donors possess the technical sophistication to exploit transnational financial systems, specifically through the manipulation of Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) and informal charity networks. Consequently, this study proposes an enhanced risk-profiling framework for Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) that prioritizes individual behavioral patterns and ideological alignments over mere transactional volumes, offering critical insights for anticipatory counter-terrorism financing measures

The purpose of the research is to substantiate information architecture as a modern professional competence of information and library specialists and to analyse its formation through the prism of synergy between library sciences and UX design. Research methodology. General scientific methods of cognition (analysis, synthesis, comparison) were used for the theoretical justification of the synergy between library sciences and UX design. Content analysis of scientific sources and a descriptive-analytical method were used to generalise the experience of integrating the educational component ‘Information Architecture’ into the educational process. The scientific novelty lies in the theoretical justification of information architecture as a synergistic professional competence that arises at the intersection of library science and UX design. Essential interdisciplinary skills for information and library specialists to create user-friendly digital resources have been identified. For the first time, the integration of the educational component “Information Architecture” into the training program for specialists has been summarised and presented, confirming its practical significance. Conclusions. Information architecture is a vital modern professional skill that connects traditional library science with user experience (UX) design principles. By incorporating information architecture into educational programs, we promote an interdisciplinary approach to specialist training. This integration enables future professionals to create effective and intuitive digital information environments. As a result, it expands their career opportunities and improves their capability to manage complex digital information resources.

For the first time, the subject of this special study was a powerful publishing center in terms of the volume of published literature, which operated in the German-occupied Polish territories during World War II – the Ukrainian publishing house in Krakow-Lviv. The purpose of this article is to study the prerequisites for the establishment, circumstances of activity and thematic repertoire of the publishing house as an enterprise for the production of book and newspaper products for representatives of a stateless nation under the specific conditions of a foreign country: legal status, conditions of existence, relations with authorities, structural features, management rules. This publishing house has a number of peculiarities in other species-typological features: form of ownership, formation of the subject matter of the editorial portfolio, as well as circulation, distribution and fee policy. It was alien to its own people, inconvenient, and even undesirable to strangers. But in both cases and under all circumstances, it remained steadfast in its lofty, holy goal: to be devoted to the genetic origins of its people, worthy of the mission and rank of the Ukrainian printed word abroad as a talisman of the nation. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that the analysis is based on documents and materials published abroad, mainly in the USA, which were banned until recently. For the first time, texts from rare newspaper and almanac binders, which are not in Ukrainian book collections and which the author used during his scientific internship in Poland, have been introduced into scientific circulation. This includes the weekly “Chelmska Zemlia”, texts by the then Archbishop of Chelm and Podlasie Hilarion (Ohienko), and others. The article makes important clarifications regarding the mistakes made in the newspaper “Krakowski Visty” regarding the official name of the publishing house and the identity of its director. For the first time, based on factual data, the features of the censorship policy of the occupation authorities regarding the content of Ukrainian-language publications, the salaries of full-time employees, and the features of the publishing house’s fee policy are examined in detail. Keywords: Ukrainian publishing house in Krakow-Lviv, book publications, press publications, editors’ salaries, fee policy, thematic repertoire, Volodymyr Kubiiovych.

Summary The research examines possible ways of preserving cultural heritage sites in the context of military conflict in the example of the escalating situation in Ukraine (from March 2014 to 2025), and provides recommendations for creating an infrastructure that will preserve cultural property for future generations in the event of war or natural disaster. The article analyses the experience of international cooperation on the preservation and digitisation of cultural heritage, and considers proposals for the new mechanism’s development of international cooperation to further improve measures to preserve Ukraine’s cultural heritage through the implementation of state and public initiatives. In particular, as a result of the application of semiotic and axiological methods, attention is drawn to the special legal protection of its objects presented in regulatory documents (international protocols, provisions of conventions and laws of Ukraine). Since the protection of material objects of historical and cultural heritage in wartime is mostly impossible, an important task under martial law is to create an inventory of cultural objects to be digitised, and to develop specific projects for digitising cultural objects. As a result, there is an urgent need to update modern legal requirements and methods of digitisation, approaches to the implementation of state policy in the field of cultural heritage protection, and effective coordination between international organisations and national institutions working in the field of cultural heritage protection in the areas of armed conflict.

BACKGROUND In the context of global scientific integration and the rapid advancement of information and communication technologies, academic integrity has emerged as a cornerstone of quality research. Defined by ethical norms such as trust, honesty, and responsibility, academic integrity underpins credible scholarly work. However, the digital age presents growing risks to these values, particularly with the rise of artificial intelligence and electronic resources. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study applies a combined methodology, incorporating case study analysis and secondary data review. It explores technological tools for supporting academic originality, institutional mechanisms promoting integrity, and international frameworks for ethical standards in higher education. The sampling period is 2019–2025, and the sample size is 41 sources. The criteria for inclusion and exclusion of publications were spatial and temporal indicators and the level of reliability of information. RESULTS The research identifies key challenges to academic integrity, including AI (Artificial intelligence)-generated content, poor digital resource management, and insufficient institutional oversight. The role of global initiatives such as the Bucharest Declaration and the International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI) is examined. Primary forms of scientific plagiarism are outlined, and the functional role of digital academic publishing in ensuring textual uniqueness is evaluated. Core academic values – trust, justice, respect, responsibility, honesty, and courage – are reaffirmed as foundations for ethical research. Strategies for improving scientific communication and anti-plagiarism mechanisms are also identified. CONCLUSION Academic integrity is essential for ensuring the quality of scientific research in the information society. A comprehensive approach – integrating institutional support, technological control systems, and adherence to global ethical standards – can effectively detect and prevent academic dishonesty. Strengthening these measures will foster a trustworthy scientific environment and support the creation of credible research outcomes.
