Due to the importance of supply chains, it is no wonder that most of the trends in this area relate to the improvement of the chain itself through the increasing use of new business models. Supply chain technology also uses robotics, internet of things (IoT) and blockchain which are predicted to speed up the chain and reduce the occurrence of adverse events. Apart from supply chain statistics, it is good to be aware of the latest trends in the field. If the organization becomes familiar with trends and problems as soon as possible, it will be able to adapt to the changes that are coming faster. Human resources are of great importance, because without well-qualified employees, business in organizations cannot progress and follow new ways of working. The chapter will provide an overview of certain development assumptions for supply chains in the near future, with a focus on human resources and their importance for modern “green” activities. Together, it paves the way for sustainable development.

Antidepressant-induced pancreatitis is a rare, albeit serious, adverse effect, with a frequency of occurrence that is not equally distributed among antidepressant drugs. The goal of this study was to investigate the association and causal relationship between mirtazapine treatment of patients with depression and pancreatitis. The study was designed as a systematic review of the literature, accompanied by the description of a new case of mirtazapine-associated acute pancreatitis. Nine cases of mirtazapine-associated pancreatitis have been reported, involving 7 female patients and 2 male patients with a mean age of 46.4 years (range: 26 to 83y of age). All of the patients were hospitalized, with an average length of stay of 16.2 days (range: 3 to 34d). In 6 cases, "de-challenge" followed by improvement was reported. The patients for whom the outcome was reported (7 of 9) recovered completely. Although a rare adverse effect, mirtazapine-induced pancreatitis should be considered when patients taking mirtazapine report abdominal discomfort.

Recent advancements of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the increased use of ICT related services in the field of online learning offer a range of possibilities, but also pose a challenge for administration in the institutions of higher education. A plethora of official documents dealing with the analysis of how ICT is applied in teaching practice indicate the existing gap in teachers’ digital competencies for its implementation. The paper discusses teachers’ perceptions of various aspects related to the use ICT in teaching at higher education institutions, as well as their needs for professional development in this area. The study included 211 teachers employed in higher education institutions within the Universities of Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Novi Pazar, and Nis. Considering the purpose of this research, the authors designed a measuring instrument comprised of open and closed-ended questions. The study results indicate that teachers recognize the need for integrating ICT in instruction, while their perception of the level of access to ICT learning resources varies depending on the given technology or ICT related services. It is identified that the practical integration of ICT in the classroom still remains at an intermediate or relatively low level. With regard to teacher perception of the intensity of utilizing different software applications in direct instruction, the overall results demonstrate that basic business/productivity application packages such as MS Office are the predominant form of software used in the classroom, followed by Learning Management Systems (LMS). Finally, it is worth noting that teachers’ perception of available professional development opportunities is considerably low, but coupled with a relatively high personal interest in participating in professional development activities.

Swallowing disorders (dysphagia) include difficulty in swallowing and controlling saliva, as well as feeding difficulties. These disorders affect all age groups from newborns to the elderly and can be the result of congenital abnormalities, damage of anatomical structures that affect swallowing, as well as various medical conditions. Dysphagia may be acute (eg. stroke) or may progress over time (eg. tumors and progressive neurological diseases). Numerous regions participate in the act of swallowing and they include precentral gyrus, postcentral gyrus, premotor zone, the supplementary motor area, operculum, insula, precuneus, prefrontal cortex, temporal lobe, cerebellum, brainstem, the frontal lobe, association areas, thalamus, and basal ganglia. It is extremely important to understand the swallowing process in order to further give an adequate approach in the treatment of disorders of this function.

Introduction. Otosclerosis is a disorder of the bone labyrinth and stapes resulting in conductive hearing loss. The genetic basis of otosclerosis still remains unknown. We aimed at reporting a comprehensive review of up-to-date knowledge on genetic basis of otosclerosis. Methods. Narrative literature review was undertaken to summarize the data about genetics of otosclerosis. Results. Genetics of otosclerosis has not been studied extensively and the literature on this topic is scarce. However, knowledge of genetic basis of otosclerosis is recently increasing. We have presented an overview of the knowledge of association of genetic markers with otosclerosis, gained from linkage analyses, candidate-gene studies, and modern high-throughput genomic studies. Conclusion. Due to its complex pathophysiology, otosclerosis is not a disease whose genetic base will be easily understood. Multiple omics analysis and bioinformatics will lead to elucidation of genetic basis of otosclerosis.

Located in South Eastern Europe, Republic of Serbia, as the Belt and Road Initiative country, is on its path toward European Union (EU). Formation of the first Serbian country happened under the rule of Nemanjic dynasty in the twelfthth century (Serbia.com, 2017). Today, Serbia is considered a developing country with 59% urban population with 62.8% of households who have Internet access (Stefanovic, Marjanovic, Delic, Culibrk, & Lalic, 2016).

Purpose:To determine the potential value of an adapted questionnaire to discover the predictors of preceptors' higher interest in precepting pharmacy interns and to evaluate preceptors' motivational factors and incentives for teaching as well as their professional satisfaction.Method:A link to the survey study of adapted questionnaire (JSAMPPP) was e-mailed to all pharmacists registered with the Pharmaceutical Chamber of the Republic of Srpska. Pharmacists' demographic and work experience characteristics, their attitudes related to motivation for precepting, value of incentives for precepting, job satisfaction, and influence of interns on pharmacists' professional practice were obtained. Results:Half of the preceptors who reported feeling satisfied with their professional life also showed interest in teaching. In addition, teaching pharmacy students positively contributed to the overall job satisfaction of the preceptors. Pharmacy preceptors were found to be most motivated by intrinsic factors. The most valued incentives reported were those related to continuing education. Conclusions:The adapted questionnaire has potential value and it revealed the following predictors of preceptors' higher interest in precepting: enjoyment of teaching, satisfaction with professional life, satisfaction as a pharmacy preceptor, and interns' influence on preceptors. These identified predictors can be emphasized to improve pharmacy students' internship experiences, thereby reinforcing the pharmacy profession.

The Russian natural gas industry is the world's largest producer and transporter of natural gas. This paper identifies the benefits for Serbia as transient country to European Union for Russian natural gas through South Stream gas-line in the current political context of implementation of gas agreement. On the other hand, according to the Agreement on Stabilization and Integration to European Union, Serbia is obligatory to implement reforms in energy sector and its energy policy must be in accordance with the European Union policy. Republic of Serbia has produced and consumed natural gas domestically since 1952, but has always been net importer. Strategy of Energy Development in Serbia and especially, National Action Plan for the gasification on the territory of Republic of Serbia dedicated special attention to gas economy development in respect with expected contribution in efficient energy use and environmental policy protection in the country.

The Colebrook equation for determination of hydraulic resistances is implicit in fluid flow friction factor and hence it has to be approximately solved using iterative procedure or using some of the approximate explicit formulas which were developed by many authors. Here will be shown one approximation of the Colebrook equation based on Lambert W-function.

The research topic is rethinking the ways of improving the quality of students? knowledge in the matters of nature and society. The aim was to examine empirically and to evaluate the effect of the experimental model of nature and society team teaching in a web environment on the quality of knowledge of the fourth-grade primary school students. The experimental method (experiment with parallel groups) was applied. Research techniques used were testing and working on pedagogical documentation. The data were collected by means of knowledge tests (initial and final) and protocols for data collection. The study included one hundred and seventy students, eighty-five students were in the control and eighty-five students were in the experimental group. Vital part of the research is creating a stimulating environment for learning where students are able to acquire knowledge through individual, individualized or collaborative processes of thinking, which are organized, maintained and evaluated by a team of teachers.
