Embodied perception is essential for intelligent vehicles and robots in interactive environmental understanding. However, these advancements primarily focus on vision, with limited attention given to using 3D modeling sensors, restricting a comprehensive understanding of objects in response to prompts containing qualitative and quantitative queries. Recently, as a promising automotive sensor with affordable cost, 4D millimeter-wave radars provide denser point clouds than conventional radars and perceive both semantic and physical characteristics of objects, thereby enhancing the reliability of perception systems. To foster the development of natural language-driven context understanding in radar scenes for 3D visual grounding, we construct the first dataset, Talk2Radar, which bridges these two modalities for 3D Referring Expression Comprehension (REC). Talk2Radar contains 8,682 referring prompt samples with 20, 558 referred objects. Moreover, we propose a novel model, T-RadarNet, for 3D REC on point clouds, achieving State-Of-The-Art (SOTA) performance on the Talk2Radar dataset compared to counterparts. Deformable-FPN and Gated Graph Fusion are meticulously designed for efficient point cloud feature modeling and cross-modal fusion between radar and text features, respectively. Comprehensive experiments provide deep insights into radar-based 3D REC. We release our project at https://github.com/GuanRunwei/Talk2Radar.

Abstract Introduction: Monkeypox, a zoonotic viral disease primarily endemic to Africa, has seen a global resurgence, raising concerns due to its potential for severe multisystem complications. While often self-limiting, the burden of monkeypox is heightened in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), particularly in Africa, where healthcare resources are limited. Objective: To review the multisystem complications of monkeypox in LMICs across Africa, highlighting clinical challenges and gaps in healthcare management. Methods: A comprehensive systematic review was conducted using PubMed and Google Scholar to identify studies addressing monkeypox complications. Relevant literature covering dermatological, respiratory, neurological, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and ocular systems was reviewed, with a focus on clinical complications and healthcare constraints in African LMICs. Results: The review identified significant multisystem complications of monkeypox infection, including impetigo, cellulitis, and septic shock in the dermatologic system; bronchitis and severe pneumonia in the respiratory system; encephalitis and seizures in the neurologic system; haemorrhagic colitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and severe dehydration in the gastrointestinal system; and viral myocarditis, pericarditis, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, thrombotic events, and dilated cardiomyopathy in the cardiovascular system. In African LMICs, these complications are exacerbated by limited diagnostic tools, antiviral therapies, and inadequate healthcare infrastructure. Socioeconomic challenges, including poor healthcare access and limited public health awareness, further compound the weaknesses in the health system. Conclusion: Monkeypox presents complications across multiple organ systems. In African LMICs, healthcare barriers exacerbate disease burden. Strengthening infrastructure, improving diagnostics, and increasing awareness are key to mitigating the impact of monkeypox complications.

This research explores the principles and methods of restorative justice (reconciliation, restoration), the informal system, and their applications in the criminal justice system in Arab countries. It attempts to describe applications and methods of restored justice processes in the criminal justice system in Arab countries. It highlights the importance of tolerance, cooperation, communication, and respectful decision-making in tackling severe criminal behavior. Restorative justice builds relationships, rapprochement, and agreements while adapting to cultural conditions and community demands. It opposes dehumanizing judgments and seeks to compensate for material and emotional losses through compromise and forgiveness.

The central objectives of Work Package 1 of ESiWACE2 is to develop and run coupled model simulations at a resolution as high as possible and with a throughput rate of at least one simulated year per day (1 SYPD) producing full model output. This throughput would be sufficient to use these simulations for operational weather predictions and potentially also to run the models for a couple of decades, to address scientific questions that are related to climate change. Four model configurations are considered: EC-Earth with OpenIFS coupled to NEMO, the Integrated Forecasting System (IFS) coupled to NEMO, the ICON model with both atmosphere and ocean, the DYNAMICO model coupled to NEMO, covering both weather and climate configurations as well as well-established models and models that are currently under development. Furthermore, ocean-only simulations with the NEMO models are also pushed to very high spatial resolution (1/36 ◦ ; ∼3 km).<br> According to the initial plan, the main aim of this deliverable was to perform scalability tests on the pre-exascale EuroHPC systems. However, this was impossible as these machines are only just becoming available. The deliverable is therefore focusing on the ongoing work to make the models more efficient and to enable the porting of the codes to heterogeneous hardware. As the European pre-exascale machines were not available, some tests of the models on other European HPC systems and some of the world’s fastest supercomputers (Summit and Fugaku) are also documented. Furthermore, the work on the treatment of output from ensemble simulations using XIOS that was moved from Deliverable D1.1 is also documented here, showing the successful use of XIOS to generate ensemble model output straight from ensemble simulations.

La solitude est certainement une belle chose; mais il y a plaisir d'avoir quelqu'un qui sache rpondre, qui on puisse dire de temps en temps que c'est une belle chose .

The effect of sewage sludge amendment (5-25% w/w) on the potential of maize (MM3 variety) to phytoextract trace metals from chromated copper arsenate (CCA) contaminated soils was investigated. The metal content of fresh soils, and soils, maize roots and shoots after 80 days of planting were determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The concentrations of chromium, copper and arsenic in fresh CCA soils were 365.8 ± 6.18, 109.72 ± 14.04 and 28.22 ± 3.8 mg/kg respectively. The MM3 maize variety could be used to phytoextract or phytostabilize the trace metals in the CCA contaminated soils without or with 5-25% sewage sludge amendment.
