We have reviewed the technological, regulatory, standardization and industrial trends for wireless power transmission (WPT). On the technology front, it appears likely that high-power WPT will be integrated into major markets—such as robotics and electric vehicles—within the next decade. Long-di stance WPT could soon be coupled with sensors in smart factories. Once such technologies permeate daily life, electromagnetic-safety engineering will become the bottleneck. Only the ad vent of safe, high-power WPT will enable this future-oriented technology to be deployed across diverse industrial sectors.

ObjectiveThis study aims to improve the biodistribution of probes and enhance tumor targeting through 68Ga/177Lu-labeled optimized probes, thereby providing better tumor detection and assessment in PET imaging while also exploring their therapeutic effects on tumors.MethodsThe physicochemical properties of PARPi probes were optimized through polyethylene glycol (PEG) modification. The tumor inhibition effect of the novel probes was validated through the assessment of in vitro affinity, uptake, in vivo distribution, and tumor targeting of the PARPi probes. Based on the distribution results, OLINDA/EXM radiation dose estimation was then performed to optimize the clinically administered dose.ResultsIn the study, a novel PARP-targeted imaging agent, DOTA-PEG-PARPi, was designed and optimized, demonstrating sufficient in vivo stability. The results of in vitro trials showed strong affinity and uptake of PEG-PARPi in pancreatic cancer tumor cells. SPECT/CT imaging revealed significant radioactive accumulation, notable uptake, and prolonged retention time in PSN-1 tumors. Tissue distribution results showed that tumor uptake peaked 3 h after administration. According to dose estimation, the highest absorbed dose was observed in the pancreas of female adults.ConclusionThe PEG-modified PARPi probe not only retained high affinity and targeting capability but also significantly improved retention time during in vivo trials.

This research aims to characterize the optical properties of bioplastic packaging based on a mixture of cassava starch and lead acetate as an alternative material for X-ray radiation protection. The experimental method was used by varying the composition of a mixture of cassava starch and lead acetate in ratios of 100:0, 70:30, 65:35, 60:40, 55:45, 50:50, and 45:55. Optical characterization was carried out using UV-Vis spectrophotometry to measure the absorbance, reflectance and transmittance of the sample. The results show that samples with higher lead acetate concentrations have greater absorbance, especially in the UV range, as well as lower transmittance throughout the spectrum. Samples with ratios of 45:55 and 50:50 (cassava starch:lead acetate) showed the best potential as radiation shielding due to high absorbance and low transparency. This research provides a comprehensive understanding of the optical properties of a mixture of cassava starch and lead acetate, enabling composition optimization for specific applications in X-ray radiation protection.

The Electrical Power System (EPS) is a vital subsystem in CubeSats, responsible for powering all onboard components. Due to standardized size and weight constraints, the limited surface area of solar panels restricts power generation. To address this, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is crucial. However, traditional MPPT techniques struggle in CubeSats’ dynamic orbital environments, where solar irradiance varies across different facets. This paper presents a novel MPPT method that combines a Deep Feedforward Neural Network (DFFNN) with a Proportional-Integral (PI) controller to adapt to these rapidly changing conditions. A year-long simulation of a 3U CubeSat in Systems Tool Kit (STK) generated real-time orbital temperature(T) and irradiance(G) data, producing 70,000 data points. The dataset was divided into 70% for training, 15% for testing, and 15% for validation to develop the DFFNN model. The trained DFFNN was integrated into a Simulink model and tested under variable illumination conditions. The results showed that the DFFNN-based MPPT achieved a 97.4% efficiency, outperforming Perturb and Observe (P&O) at 88.9%, Incremental Conductance (InC) at 89.7%, and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) at 94.08%. Additionally, the proposed method achieved a system efficiency of 88.3%, reduced power ripple to less than 2.5%, and significantly improved transient performance. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the DFFNN-PI approach in optimizing power extraction for CubeSat missions under dynamic space conditions.

This study aims to compare the impact of existing signal sources of the conventional radiated immunity standard and a newly introduced broadband signal source on the equipment under test concerning the recently drafted broadband radiated immunity standard, IEC 61000-4-41. The comparison for disturbance signal sources utilized CW, AM, and PM signals adhering to IEC 61000-4-3, 4-39, and ISO 11452-1 standards. For the broadband disturbance signal source, an OFDM signal with a 20 MHz bandwidth and applied FIR filter was used. Additionally, a key parameter, ‘immunity level,’ was introduced to compare and analyze the impact of each signal source. The results revealed that when using the OFDM signal, the immunity level of the equipment under test was lower compared to the immunity level when using the conventional signal sources.
