The Stills Archive team at Paramount Pictures Asset Management Group is responsible for the preservation and digitisation of all photography and artwork created in conjunction with each title produced by the studio. The studio’s digital asset management (DAM) system is a customised solution built on a trusted and widely used asset management platform. By partnering with a third-party artificial intelligence (AI) service, the DAM system creates AI metadata to coexist with human-generated metadata. Over the past year, Paramount’s Stills Archive team has experimented with this new metadata technology with the goal of streamlining workflow procedures in preservation and reducing the time spent on research requests. This paper outlines the vision, goals, implementation process and challenges associated with this endeavour.

This article presents a theoretical model based on a synthesis of psychological (the word psyche means soul) theories regarding components of the human spirit, human spirituality, and the development of spiritual well-being, with a focus on the relationship between stress and human spirituality. These components include an insightful relationship with both oneself and others, a strong personal value system, and a meaningful purpose in one's life. Additional aspects include a model for spiritual growth (seasons of the soul) and various aspects of one's life experience that hinder or promote greater spiritual growth. Based on this model, holistic nurses may integrate these concepts into their world view of holistic healing and include the health of the human spirit as a greater part of the holistic wellness paradigm.

This study is aim to investigate the useful of method VaR in hence prediction of investment risk on common stock property were listed at Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI). The method VaR can be divided by three criteria, such as accurate, efficient, and conservative. Using time series data price of stock properties for seven years, the data has been analised using the tools of Microsoft Excel and E-views 7. The sample of this study was property sector with purposive sampling criteria such as the stock are actively trade, the company have complete data of prices for the period of the study, and the company total asset are more than 5 (five) billion rupiah. The research show that Risk Metric Method is conservatif (95% confidence level) and Historical Simulation Method is the conservative (99% confidence level) in predicting Investment Risk property sector. Furthermore, Monte Carlo Method is the most efficient (95% and 99% confidence level) and the most accurate (95% and 99% confidence level) in predicting Investment Risk property sector. This result was supporting previously research by Ni’mah (2014) that Monte Carlo Simulation is the most effisien and accurate for investor predicting of investment risk with 95% confidence level.

Automation is being applied in many fields of manufacturing and production. It can help us in the art of sound recording for motion pictures and television. In this paper the writer explains a simplified system of automation and discusses the transition from the old to the new.

Experience to date indicates that magnetic recording can improve quality, simplify operation and reduce cost in motion picture making. Further, the extent to which these objectives are accomplished is largely dependent upon the willingness to change technique and equipment.

The projection of a motion picture on a translucent screen for background purposes has become increasingly important in studio operations during the past ten years. Many shots now made through the use of this process would have been extremely costly and perhaps impossible if attempted by direct filming of the complete action. — The sharp rise in production costs during the past few years, coupled with the curtailment of foreign markets, demanded that every effort be expended to simplify production methods. — With this in view, Paramount Pictures embarked upon a complete modernization program of the Transparency department production equipment early in 1940. New compact projection units, bases for the projectors, rewind tables, screen frames, screen handling equipment, and light-bridges were designed and built. This equipment has immeasurably simplified operations as well as improved quality beyond levels heretofore achieved. — Descriptions of this equipment are presented, with emphasis upon a comparison of the new with the old. The success of the equipment can be attributed largely to standardization of component parts. Complete interchangeability of essential units, coupled with easy access to critical points, has gone far toward eliminating lost time and motion in meeting unexpected emergencies.

The sound-quality improvement realized by the reduction in noise and distortion is now available for all sound operations, including release prints. The paper describes a number of problems encountered and solved in the commercial application of such films for sound recording, including factors affecting the choice of negative and print materials, noise, distortion, sensitometric characteristics, recorder lamp supplies, and noise problems on stages.
