A study for establishing the influence of the duration of the artificial aging heat treatment stage on the intergranular corrosion for 7075 aluminium alloy, T651 temper was carried out.Therefore, several tests were conducted by increasing the duration of the holding time in the Artificial Aging Heat Treatment from 10 hours to 20 hours, at every two hours.The experiments were done on 7075 aluminium alloy plate with a thickness of 30 mm.A dependence of the intergranular corrosion on the holding time of the artificial aging treatment was established, thus more than 37 minimum holding hours are needed for the 7075 aluminium alloy plates to have corrosion problems, which is very difficult to achieve in practice.

În lucrarea de față sunt analizate aspectele reproductive la unele specii reprezentative de pești din ecosistemul fl. Nistru precum: complexul zvârlugilor - C. taenia, umflătura golașă pontică - Benthophilus nudus, mocănașul - Babka gymnotrachelus, bibanul comun - Perca fluviatilis și scrumbia-de-Dunăre - Alosa immaculata în condițiile actuale de fragmentări ale hidrobiotopului, poluări și schimbări climatice.

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) integrates computing and communication resources with sensing and actuation functionalities, for physical world entities and processes. CPS realizes connections of the computational and communications infrastructures with the physical reality. Integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, CPS is already involved in various applications in building industrial systems, according to the Industry 4.0 concept. Internal and cross-organizational services associated with the production value chains can also be realized. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) proved to be an efficient approach for CPS architectures, being able to cope with the heterogeneity of the industrial systems, to assure interoperability. In this paper we propose a CPS architecture, using a SOA approach, integrating a Soap ad Rest and based gateway, which enables a seamless interoperability within the industrial and manufacturing processes and services providing in business environment. Through the gateway, the CPS resources and services can be accessed by mobile clients through Smartphones.

Abstract In recent years area of entrepreneurship has gained significant attention nationally and internationally. It is one of the main skills priorities of national governments and EU council. Traditionally associated with commercial activity, entrepreneurship has gained traction as a key competence necessary to allow society as a whole to adapt to the changing economic climate. Small and medium sized companies (SMEs) greatly contribute to employment and wealth in Europe but there are limited studies into the specific skills needs required for SMEs into the future. Skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and entrepreneurship allow learners to adapt to changes, communication, digital skills and teamwork allow learners to collaborate and exploit technology in the changing workplace. Research is a key element of entrepreneurial success, but how these skills particularly workplace-oriented ones improve entrepreneurial culture has not been widely explored in the literature. This paper explores the importance of entrepreneurship today, the skills required to allow our society to become more entrepreneurial and identifies the potential of workplace research skills to develop entrepreneurial capacity in all facets of work, particularly within SMEs. The authors collaborated on many European projects aimed at improving work and education/training of entrepreneurs. The work presented int this paper resulted from surveys conducted within these projects regarding the problems SME staff have in connection with workplace transformation and entrepreneurship education and training. From this the paper proposes a conceptual model to facilitate the development of workplace research skills which will enhance entrepreneurial capacity in SMEs. The problems discussed in this chapter will also be used within the German initiative Mittelstand 4.0-Kompetenzzentrum with the participation of one author. Companies within this program are eager to improve their workplace research skills and change the learning culture and staff behavior in connection with digital workplaces.

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are obtained by integrating computation, networking, and physical processes. In many applications, within a CPS, mobile and wireless networks are used to realize the data transmission, conforming to the concept of Internet of Things (IoT). This facilitates interactions with several types of devices like sensors, RFID readers, mobile phones etc. Besides, Smartphones include important sensors as GPS, accelerometers, light sensors, phone camera etc. Based on such a foundation, different electronic services can be developed and provided for various types of clients. New research directions revealed the necessity to consider middleware architectures in CPS design. In this direction, Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) represents a paradigm that can be very efficient in designing specific layers of CPS. Web services are examples of SOA implementation, adequate for the requirements of the business environments. This paper presents a Cyber Physical Systems oriented e-business platform using Web services, which can be accessed through mobile and wireless networks, using Android OS Smartphones. A stock market exchange service was considered, as a relevant example of e-business. The time response of the SOAP and REST based Web service was evaluated, on LTE 4G and IEEE 802.11n channels, to determine which protocol is more efficient to increase the real time response capacity of the CPS oriented platform.

The paper submit an innovative approach to dam surveillance question by means of multi-level heterogeneous sensory data fusion, in order to increase the aggregation efficiency of data obtained by different sensors, which combines fuzzy set theory with other multi-sensor data fusion techniques. The sensor information fusion model was designed, using partial coupled data gathered by various sensors. Behind the analysis and process of the multi level fusion model, the precise appraisal of the secure status of the dam environment can be achieved. Lastly, the approach, that could actually enrich the consistency of the secure situation of the dam, is validated through a case analysis. A rule-based expert sub-system for fusing the raw data acquired from sensors with complementary accuracy and bandwidth attributes is proposed. Furthermore, for particularly precise purposes it is proposed a high accuracy fuzzy predictor sub-system. The major benefits of the projected multi-modal sensor fusion method are illustrated by simulation of a dam surveillance sub-system employing the fusion components for behavior assessment.

One of the most important goals of EU nature and water framework directives is to ensure healthy aquatic ecosystems by the protection of the most valuable species and habitats form the Natura 2000 network, while at the same time ensuring a balance between water/nature protection and the sustainable use of nature’s natural resources. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physico-chemical and microbiological characteristics of four Romanian salty plain lakes included in Natura 2000 Network, in order to assess the degree of organic pollution and to generate the knowledge required for the design and implementation of appropriate measures for maintaining the balance between the water protection and the sustainable use of these protected ecosystems. The water and sediment sampling was performed in two consecutive years (2015 and 2016), in September and the following standard parameters have been determined: pH, chemical oxygen consumption (COC), the degree of trophicity and salinity of the environment, metals content, microbiological indicators and microbial physiological groups involved in nutrient cycling. The pH ranged from 7.56 to 8.93, close or above the upper normal limit of 8.5, being correlated with a high salinity characteristic of chlorinated, sulphated, high sodium and magnesium content waters. Despite the similar values recorded for the physico-chemical parameters in the two consecutive years suggesting a certain degree of stability of the investigated aquatic ecosystems, the COC values indicate a high degree of hypertrophy, which could be attributed to the reduced surface area, ecological pisciculture and agriculture input. The microbiological parameters revealed the existence of both recent and chronic fecal pollution source. The high hypertrophy degree could represent a positive premise for the high productivity of the investigated ecosystems, but also an alarm signal for excessive organic pollution, with the risk of redox potential decrease which can affect the fish and other life forms. Consequently, it is necessary to identify the sources of pollution and implement the appropriate measures to minimize the negative impact of organic contamination on the status of the respective ecosystems (water quality, biotic components) in order to maintain the health of both ecosystems and the surrounding human communities, allowing at the same time a sustainable use of the local resources.

Present paper presents an approach related to the question of structuring a federation of SCADA systems, associated with the integrated water resource exploitation, from a certain catchment area. Utilized instruments for federation development there are: (i) DESCRIPTOR component, achieving topology description — resources (roots) associated with protocols, functionality and governance rules, combined in plug-in module TOPOLOGY; (ii) Integrated Supervisor, having supervision role related to exchanges between federation partners. This plug-in application is auto-configurable and is running correlated with the TOPOLOGY modules.

The present paper proposes a Fluid Stochastic Petri Nets based model, with a flexible and modular structure, to represent the behavioural characteristics and possible interactions among the controlled Micro Hydro Power units in a run of the river chain. Environmental influences were embedded, the final goal of the proposed modelling method being to simulate the dynamicity of the hydrographic assembly in order to optimize the management of water resources. The proposed approach was developed, the case study of a micro hydropower stations chain situated in the hydrographic basin of Someş river being considered. An UPPAAL based simulation was realized in various conditions corresponding to environmental changes and taking into account the main functioning characteristics of the components. Verified by simulation, control modules were implemented as a part of a SCADA system designed for complex automation of a micro hydropower plant.
