Indonesia’s accession to the Apostille Convention, through Presidential Regulation No. 2 of 2021, represents a significant step toward simplifying the legalization process for documents intended for cross-border use. However, the implementation of the Apostille in Indonesia continues to face legal challenges, particularly concerning the verification period, which often exceeds the time limits stipulated in Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights No. 6 of 2022. This issue has prompted discussions about transferring Apostille authority to notaries, by leveraging cyber notary systems to support notarial tasks related to Apostille issuance. This study employs a normative juridical approach combined with comparative legal analysis. This findings indicate that delegating Apostille authority to notaries may enhance the flexibility and efficiency of the Apostille process, given that notary are widely distributed across Indonesia and are bound by professional code of ethics and ethical accountability in performing their duties. A cyber notary system, particularly in the form of digitally authenticated official signatures managed by the Ministry of Law in coordination with the Indonesian Notary Association (Ikatan Notaris Indonesia), could significantly support notaries in the issuance of Apostille certification.

Brushless electric motors are used intensively in the industrial automation sector due to the motors low inertia and fast response. According to the International Electrotechnical Commission, IEC 60034-2-1, the efficiency of a three-phase electric machine (excluding machines for traction vehicles) can be determined by direct or indirect techniques. In the case of small traction motors (<10 kW), direct methods are used extensively by manufacturers, even if no standard has been published or scheduled by the IEC. In this paper, we evaluated the accuracy of the (direct) back-to-back method for the estimation of the energy performance of a 3 kW brushless AC electric motor used in a light electric vehicle. We measured the efficiencies of a pair of motors and inverters, as well as the overall efficiency of the entire power train. The results showed that the methodology was sufficiently accurate and comparable with other indirect methods available in existing literature. Moreover, we developed a Simulink model that used the powertrain efficiency map as the input to perform the simulation of a standard urban driving cycle. The simulation was run 500 times to calculate the probability density function associated with the total range of the vehicle, considering the uncertainty of the efficiency that was determined experimentally. The simulation results confirmed the low deviation of the distribution standard compared to the average value of the range of the vehicle.

Intravoxel incoherent motion is a potential non-invasive diagnostic tool in brain tumours, without any clear guidelines for its evaluation yet. In our study, we compare intravoxel incoherent motion with dynamic susceptibility contrast magnetic resonance imaging in the quantification of tumour tissue blood perfusion in 28 patients affected by brain tumours, highlighting the issues encountered during the acquisition set-up and post-processing steps. Intravoxel incoherent motion is a new imaging tool and an alternative technique to dynamic susceptibility contrast-magnetic resonance imaging which is of considerable interest at present. This is partly because it does not require the use of a contrast agent and relies on the intrinsic properties of motion in the capillaries of the spins. Compared to dynamic susceptibility contrast-magnetic resonance imaging, the intravoxel incoherent motion technique is also characterised by better resolution because the gadolinium-based contrast agent bolus used in the standard technique results in a variation by more than 50% of the signal coming from the brain. Finally, intravoxel incoherent motion is more sensitive to the incoherent motion that originates from small capillary vessels, while the dynamic susceptibility contrast signal is also contaminated by the input from larger arteries and veins, which may result in an overestimation of the blood volume. Although there are limitations due to the heterogeneity of the sample considered in our study, intravoxel incoherent motion has been shown to be an accurate noninvasive radiological biomarker, useful to distinguish between low and high grade glial tumours.

A mutual interaction between the real, the digital and the virtual worlds in the Future Internet networked society provides a fertile playground for IoT-related research and innovation. This conceptual view enables enterprises to separate concerns and be able to define better strategies on how to act, react, plan and optimize their activities. Nowadays, business process and specific technologies can already support each stage of process implementation. However, none is focused on this conceptual division provided by the IoT advances. Representing and implementing the interactions between the three worlds is achieved by means of interoperable models and tools where business objectives can be aligned with software applications and services at the single enterprise or network level. This paper presents a model-driven approach and a tool to support the modelling and instantiation of the IoT-enabled liquid and sensing processes in an inter-world osmosis style.

Three stages of resource integration can be distinguished in evolution of IT: the stage of creation and implementation of middleware technologies and means (1990-2000), the stage of modeling and creation of enterprise application integration solutions (1995-2005) and the stage of enterprise service bus (ESB) development and technologies creation (2004-…). ESB concept was born after the need for business integration emerged, especially under the influence of SME’s needs to have sufficient system functionality for affordable price. Problems of creation and performance issues of one of ESB variants – SME application bus infrastructure for interoperability of business subjects are discussed in this paper. Colored Petri Net model for performance evaluation of such infrastructure is presented.

While analyzing currently available international research about embedded system development, it seems that as the complexity of embedded systems is continuously increasing, the major problems regarding their development remain always the same: vague requirements, insufficient time to develop, lack of resources, and complexity management. With the focus on the development process, it is shown, with examples coming from 20 years of experience, the industry perspective of a company managing such problems by adopting a consolidated set of good practices.

The page object pattern is used in the context of web testing for abstracting the application's web pages in order to reduce the coupling between test cases and application under test. This paper reports on an industrial case study in a small Italian company (eXact learning solutions S.p.A.) investigating the potential benefits of adopting the page object pattern to improve the maintainability of Selenium WebDriver test cases. After a maintenance/evolution activity performed on the application under test, we compared two equivalent test suites, one built using the page object pattern and one without it. The results of our case study indicate a strong reduction in terms of time required (by a factor of about three) and number of modified LOCs (by a factor of about eight) to repair the test suite when the page object pattern is used.

This paper describes an on-going research and development activity to implement a semantic-based Partner Search service for supporting companies in a supply chain network configuration as one of the key elements of a comprehensive architecture with the aim of supporting collaborative design, planning and manufacturing for highly customised goods. The Partner Search service is the module in charge of managing and improving the manufacturer's knowledge about its, even potential, supply chains. This service, therefore, has to support the manufacturer in managing information, based on capabilities and performance, about past and present partners, as well as in identifying new potential suppliers. The service is useful especially to develop effective partnerships when producing small batches, where it is necessary to have a reduced and easily manageable supply base.

Software maintenance and support services are key factors to the customer perception of software product quality. The overall goal of FastFix is to provide developers with a real-time maintenance environment that increases efficiency and reduces costs, improving accuracy in identification of failure causes and facilitating their resolution. To achieve this goal, FastFix observes application execution and user interaction at runtime. We give an overview of the functionality of FastFix and present one of its main application scenarios.
