As the energy landscape evolves, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has placed customer engagement at the forefront of its strategy to create a sustainable energy system. With the rise of active consumers and prosumers—individuals who both consume and produce energy—TPDDL has introduced initiatives that enhance participation and incentivize green energy adoption. Active consumers benefit from tailored incentives, such as dedicated client managers and the Unnati program, which rewards energy-saving efforts and improves grid efficiency. Public platforms, including national celebrations, are used to recognize their contributions, fostering greater customer participation. For prosumers, TPDDL facilitates renewable energy integration through net metering, feed-in tariffs, and a dedicated cell to address technical challenges like voltage issues. These measures encourage investments in renewable energy while ensuring reliable grid access for surplus electricity supply. TPDDL’s comprehensive approach underscores the pivotal role of active consumers and prosumers in building a resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy network, highlighting the power of engagement in shaping the future of energy distribution.
