BACKGROUND: Medial epicondylalgia (ME), commonly known as golfer’s elbow, is less frequently studied compared to lateral epicondylalgia. It presents significant treatment challenges, especially in active populations. This case report demonstrates a multifaceted therapeutic approach to ME in a CrossFit athlete. STUDY DESIGN: Case report. CASE DESCRIPTION: A 34-year-old male CrossFit athlete presented with a 2-week history of medial elbow pain, worsened by intense workouts. The pain, described as achy and sometimes sharp, extended into the anterior forearm. Examination revealed tenderness at the medial epicondyle and weakness in wrist flexion and elbow movements. Initial treatment included activity modification and patient education, followed by a structured program of strengthening exercises to progressively reload the affected tissues and address functional chain impairments. OUTCOMES: After 1 month, the patient showed marked improvement. Pain during grip testing decreased from 7/10 to 0/10, and grip strength increased from 60 to 95 pounds. Pain during elbow flexion reduced from 4/10 to 0/10. The patient resumed all activities without pain, except for heavy front rack positions, which continued to provoke slight tension at his elbow. All outcomes exceeded minimal clinically important differences. CONCLUSION: This case underscores the effectiveness of a comprehensive rehabilitation program integrating manual therapy, patient education, and progressive loading in managing ME.

Climate change and resultant environmental catastrophes are a growing factor in the increased number of migrants crossing the Mediterranean. Some end up in Italian prisons where rehabilitation programs emphasize Italian culture production as a path toward inclusion in Italian society. These programs model how to address climate-induced eco-migration and new templates for tackling climate change through prison reform.

Prefigurative interventions and occupations comprise a form of activism comparable to theatrical performance—embodying, situating, and performing hypothetical scenarios. These open-ended, horizontal performance practices employ site-sensitive interventions, tactical media, applied theatre, and cognate modes of interactivity.

This essay will discuss the embodied praxis of ethnography and how the felt sensing experiences of fieldwork research are enacted and translated both within the intimate, ethnographic spaces of those everyday moments in the field that are all at once filled with pleasure, politics, and beauty.

GO-imbedded nanocomposite hollow fiber membranes were investigated for oily water treatment, with the aim to improve GO-polymer interfacial interaction and membrane anti-fouling properties via the formation of a simultaneously covalent and ionic inter-network.

Adenosine-Triphosphate (ATP) supplementation maintains performance and increases volume under high fatiguing contractions. However, greater fatigue increases recovery demands between training sessions. Studies utilizing HMB free acid (HMB-FA) supplementation suggest that the supplement speeds regenerative capacity. However, we are unaware of studies investigating whether synergism exists between the two. Therefore, we investigated the effects of 12 weeks of HMB-FA, ATP, or a combination of the two on lean mass (LBM), strength, and power in trained individuals. We also determined these supplements effects on performance during an overreaching cycle.

Transnational cultural production is often associated with processes of exchange, mobility and contact that redefine the way we think about location, subjectivity and social praxis. In what follows, I explore how performance, frequently theorized as an embodied, localized event, engages transnational spaces. Using theories of space, embodied agency and new media, I show how performances created to address conditions of marginalization and violence invigorate arguments about the central role of symbolic behaviour and spatial production in late capitalism. Which sites do artists choose and/or reclaim in order to address transnational issues? How do artists challenge previous notions of performance as an in situ event? In what way do transnational performances redefine the terms of interaction between bodies and state power at different geographical scales?

Results There were no differences in total calories, protein, carbohydrate, or fat consumed between groups. There were time, and group x time effects (p<0.05) for total strength, which increased by a greater percentage in the HMB (430.4 ±2 2.5 to 507.5 ±2 1.7 kg; +1 8.3 %) than the placebo group (422.2 ± 24.9 to 447.5 ± 22.5 kg; + 6.6 %). There were time, and group x time effects (p<0.05) for Wingate peak power, which increased to a greater extent in the HMB (876.6 ± 46.0 to 1035.5 ± 55.7 watts; + 21.9 %) than the placebo group (882.9± 50.8 to 986.3 ± 22.5 kg; + 16.2 %) p<0.05). Finally there were time, and group x time effects (p<0.05) for muscle thickness, which increased to a greater extent in the HMB (50.7 ± 1.6 to 57.8 ± 1.7 cm; + 14.5 %) than the placebo group (49.6± 1.7 to 52.0 ± 1.9 cm; + 4.7 %) (p<0.05).

This article explores performances that emerged in the context of the economic crisis of 2001 in Argentina as examples of how artists and protestors created structured embodied events to call attention to the dramatic consequences of transnational, speculative economics. I argue that these protest performances constitute paradigmatic examples of cultural production inviting a redefinition of the relationship between cultural production and political outcomes. Using a performance studies lens that attends to the ways in which the performances I analyze are crafted citing artistic trajectories and sociopolitical histories, I provide a different way to assess these performances' returns.
