Background: Lymphatic disease patients make up a significant proportion of the US and world populations. Due to inadequate medical school training and underestimation of the impact of lymphatic circulation, lymphatic disease patients often have difficulty finding competent diagnosis and care. Methods and Results: The Lymphatic Education & Research Network has initiated a Centers of Excellence program to designate institutions that provide services for lymphatic disease patients. Committees of experts drafted standards for five types of Centers of Excellence. Conclusions: The Centers of Excellence program is now launched, and the description of the formation process herein could provide other organizations guidance for similar ventures.

Gallium can be used as a temporary glue for semiconducting wafer mounting. The good electric contact between the electrode, the gallium layer, and the semiconducting wafer makes the spark cutting and the semiconducting wafer form shaping much easier. After wafer spark cutting, the residual gallium can be easily removed by a cotton swab from the surface of the wafer in warm isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Also, in this report, improved circuitry of the electric discharge machine for easy and economical construction is described. Gallium arsenide wafers have been form shaped by the present method.

This study seeks to expand the concept of creativity by investigating the scholastic aptitudes and vocational needs of highly creative public high school seniors. Torrance's (1962) Minnesota Tests of Creative Thinking were administered to 708 seniors. Students scoring highest and lowest on two scales, originality and elaboration, were divided into 12 criterion groups (N = 311) among boys and girls. Significant differences were obtained on the Minnesota Scholastic Aptitude Test and the Minnesota Importance Questionnaire (MIQ) (Weiss, Dawis, England & Lofquist, 1964). Highly original seniors had significantly stronger needs than good elaborators on four MIQ scales. Students highest in both abilities had stronger needs than either high originals or good elaborators on five other MIQ scales.

The use of suppressors to provide a collinear array that has a single feed point has been described 1 . The suppressor design reported was one that provided optimum performance. During the course of the development program, several other types of suppressors were investigated. One type, although slightly inferior in performance to that described, is very attractive because of its simplicity. While it is not satisfactory for use in high gain (10 db) antennas, it is suitable for use in medium gain (4–6 db) antennas, and offers interesting cost reduction possibilities. The design and performance of a 6 db antenna for use in the 450–470 MC band is described.

The financing of accounts receivable and inventory as we know it today is still in its figurative 'teens.Although factoring, which was the forerunner of the assignment of receivables for value, has been in existence for many decades, and in spite of the fact that ancient Babylon was acquainted with "warehouse receipts," the development of our present style of operation has not yet reached its business majority. The workings of this type of fund-lending, therefore, cannot be reduced to a closed-end manual. It is still feeling its way through the labyrinthian maze of today's business world; it is new and growing; and it is constantly changing shape. What I will say in this article, therefore, is only a progress report, subject to review and revision as the boy grows into manhood.A word about the early background of factoring is necessary if we are to understand what was to follow later.'During the latter part of the nineteenth century the use of commission agents in this country by overseas firms to facilitate distribution was carried over into the pattern of domestic commerce. While these commission agents were primarily sales-concentration points, their value to a manufacturer or shipper was greatly enhanced from a credit standpoint because of their knowledge of and association with the ultimate buyer.Shippers, far removed from their customers, came to depend more and more upon their agents for information regarding the worthiness of purchasers.Credit agencies being non-existent, and communications being less easy than we know them today, it was an impossible job for any shipper to be acquainted with his customer's ability to pay.As time went on, this situation became more pronounced until there naturally evolved the early stages of factoring. The commission agent became less of a salesman and more a guarantor of credit. And, as he guaranteed the credit, he began to discount the shipper's invoices and collect from the buyer himself. He was then a private banker.
