Innovations in Data Security and Intelligent Automation through Artificial Intelligence: Patterns and Hurdles
The Role of Family Dynamics in Shaping Mental Health and Gender Equality in Pakistan
This quantitative study examines the impact of family dynamics on shaping mental health outcomes and perceptions of gender equality in Pakistan. Using a quantitative design, data were collected from 300 undergraduate students across public and private universities through standardized instruments, including the Family Environment Scale (FES), the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28), and a Gender Equality Attitude Scale. Correlation and regression analyses were employed to investigate the predictive relationship between family cohesion, conflict, and communication patterns, and mental health, as well as gender-related attitudes. Findings revealed that higher levels of family cohesion and open communication were positively associated with better mental health (p < 0.02) and more egalitarian views on gender roles (p < 0.05). Conversely, elevated family conflict was linked to poorer psychological well-being and traditional gender role orientations. These results highlight the crucial role of family structures and interactions in fostering both psychological resilience and progressive gender norms in Pakistani society. The study highlights the importance of family-centered interventions and educational initiatives that promote both mental health and gender equality simultaneously.
Read moreAI and Cognitive Load: How Reliance on AI Tools (Chatgpt, Etc.) Affects Critical Thinking
The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT, DeepSeek, etc., into academic and professional settings has raised important questions about their influence on human cognition. This study examines the relationship between reliance on AI tools and critical thinking skills, with a particular focus on cognitive load. A quantitative survey design was employed, using structured questionnaires to collect data from 350 university students across diverse disciplines. Measures assessed the extent of AI usage, perceived cognitive load, and levels of critical thinking. AI tool use and critical thinking while controlling for demographic and educational factors. Findings indicate that frequent use of AI tools is associated with significantly lower reported cognitive load during complex tasks (β = –0.37, p < .01) but also with slightly lower self-assessed critical thinking skills (β = –0.21, p < .05). Results suggest that while AI support can reduce mental effort, it may inadvertently discourage deeper engagement with information. Implications for education and workplace training include encouraging deliberate reflection and structured critical analysis when integrating AI tools.
Read moreThe Role of AI in Facilitating Supplier Collaboration and Enhancing Supply Chain Performance
Abstract This study examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing supply chain performance through improved supplier collaboration in West Africa. Grounded in transaction cost economics (TCE), resource-based view (RBV), and cybernetic theory, the research explores how AI-driven technologies reduce transaction costs, optimize strategic resources, and enhance adaptability through real-time data sharing. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyze data from 250 suppliers across multiple industries. The findings establish significant relationships between AI-driven communication tools, automation in collaboration processes, real-time data-sharing capabilities, and supplier network integration, all of which positively impact supply chain performance. Among these factors, supplier network integration exhibited the strongest influence on performance outcomes, highlighting the critical role of AI in fostering interconnected supply chains. The study recommends wider adoption of AI tools, automation, and real-time data-sharing mechanisms to enhance supplier interactions and supply chain agility. These insights provide practical implications for supply chain practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders seeking to leverage AI for greater efficiency and resilience in supply chain operations.
Read moreINVESTIGATING THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON LANGUAGE LEARNING AND TEACHING
This study investigated the impact of artificial intelligence on English language learning and teaching in Pakistan through a mixed-methods approach. The research involved 150 English teachers and 300 students from public and private schools across Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. Data collection utilized structured questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and pre-post assessments over a 12-week period. Results revealed significant improvements in students' language proficiency, with speaking skills showing the highest enhancement (mean improvement of 2.8 points). Teachers demonstrated positive attitudes toward AI integration, with 78% reporting increased student engagement. However, challenges included limited internet connectivity (65% of schools) and inadequate teacher training (72% of participants). The study found that AI tools like Duolingo and Grammarly enhanced personalized learning experiences and provided immediate feedback. Statistical analysis showed significant correlations between AI tool usage frequency and language skill improvements (p<0.05). The findings suggest that while AI presents substantial opportunities for language education enhancement in Pakistan, successful implementation requires addressing infrastructure limitations and providing comprehensive teacher training programs.
Read moreEnhancing Decision-Making and Supply Chain Agility through Artificial Intelligence
Abstract This study evaluates AI’s effectiveness in boosting real-time decision-making and supply chain agility in West African ports. Utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), data from 250 supply chain experts across several countries, including Ghana and Nigeria, were analyzed. Results indicate significant enhancements in supply chain agility, particularly through improved data processing speed, system integration, prediction accuracy, and user interface quality, with the latter having the most substantial impact. The study underscores the importance of user-friendly AI systems, supported by Dynamic Capabilities Theory, which facilitates organizational adaptability to market changes. Recommendations focus on developing AI systems with robust user interfaces and ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructures. This research contributes to the literature by empirically demonstrating AI’s role in improving operational adaptability and filling theoretical gaps, with a unique regional focus and methodological approach.
