Objectives This report presents the results of an empirical study conducted in a real environment at the Vasil Levski National Military University. The main goal is to establish the real state of the influence of interpersonal relationships in a group when building teams at the Vasil Levski National Military University, with a focus on the personality traits of employees, emotional intelligence and their manifestations in the work environment. Methods The scientific methodology used for the study on the influence of interpersonal relationships in a group when building teams at the Vasil Levski National Military University, has been developed in accordance with the theoretical wealth contained in the sciences of management, human resource management, organizational psychology and organizational behaviour, taking into account the scientific and practical-applied world experience. Results The empirical research conducted shows that a large part of the respondents possess traits related to emotional intelligence, these indicators are a prerequisite for building effective teams based on emotional awareness, empathy and good communication. Conclusions Emotional intelligence plays a key role in creating cohesive and effective teams, its manifestation in interpersonal relationships contributes to increasing motivation, better conflict resolution and building trust between group members. With regard specifically to team building at the Vasil Levski National Military University, a state institution working in the field of security and defense, the studied personality traits are considered valuable and necessary.

This study attempts to understand the role of the EULEX Kosovo mission as a concrete manifestation of the European Union's efforts to strengthen the rule of law in one of the most complex post-conflict areas in the Balkans. Attention is drawn both to the legal and institutional framework of the mission and to Bulgaria's contribution, which is presented as an example of practical involvement and sharing of experience in the field of justice and the establishment of a stable legal order.

In the paper a new method for synthesis of complementary quads of binary signals, processed by mismatched filters with very small losses in the processing gain, is developed. The method could be applied for improving the resistance of the radar sensor networks and the remote control devices in hostile radio electronic environment.

Introduction. Plastic decomposition is an exceptionally protracted process, requiring urgent measures to reduce environmental pollution, including that of water resources. Current solutions include increasing measures to sort and recycle plastic waste and developing biodegradable and environmentally friendly substitutes. Although plastic is recyclable, not all types are easily recycled. Therefore, most significant efforts are needed to find sustainable solutions. This highlights the importance of analysing the current situation regarding plastic waste and developing specific measures to reduce pollution. Aim and tasks. This study aims to analyse the concern of increasing plastic waste in Bulgaria and to develop strategies for its reduction. In particular, measures to reduce the consumption of plastic products, introduce separate waste collection, and recycle and reuse valuable raw materials are considered, emphasising the contribution of these actions to reducing water resource pollution. Results. This study analysed two main pollution control areas: limiting plastic use and introducing rapidly degradable materials. These approaches do not exclude but complement each other. This study confirms that using biodegradable polymers such as PLA, PHA, and PBS has significant environmental benefits despite their cost and the disadvantages of production technologies. Effective solutions to pollution problems have been shown to require legislative measures and innovations, raising public awareness, and developing a culture of separate waste collection. The research and analysis revealed ways to reduce the pollution of water bodies with plastic and polyethene waste. The effects of this waste on the development of humanity have been examined, and options for solving these problems on a global scale have been proposed. Conclusions. Plastic products and packaging have a significant negative impact on the environment, including reducing pollution of water and marine ecosystems. It is necessary to improve the efficiency of plastic waste management and recycling. Analysis of these data on the pollution of water bodies and adjacent territories showed the need to develop a system for monitoring and collecting information on pollution, including in hard-to-reach areas. To reduce this impact, it is important to combine limiting plastic consumption and using rapidly degradable bioplastics with the active implementation of recycling and reuse programs.

This article explores the integration processes within military education systems, emphasizing their critical role in modernizing curricula and addressing the dynamic needs of national and international security. The aim is to analyze integration models and strategies that combine civilian and military education, theoretical and practical training, and traditional and innovative teaching methodologies. Using a systematic and comparative approach, the study evaluates global practices and specific examples from Bulgaria and NATO member states to identify effective integration strategies.The research highlights the importance of fostering synergy between diverse educational components to enhance the preparation of military personnel for evolving defense challenges. Integration models, such as dual and modular training and institutional cooperation, are analyzed for their potential to combine military and civilian expertise. The integration of theoretical knowledge with practical training, including the use of simulations, field exercises, and joint international training, is shown to be critical for developing problem-solving skills and operational readiness. Furthermore, balancing traditional and innovative teaching methods is identified as a means to foster critical thinking and adaptability in learners.The study concludes that integration is a strategic imperative for modern military education. Key recommendations include strengthening collaboration between military academies and civilian institutions, continuously updating curricula to reflect technological advancements, increasing opportunities for practical training, promoting flexible learning models, and investing in resources such as equipment, facilities, and teacher development. These measures are essential for preparing military professionals to meet the complexities of contemporary defense and security environments effectively.

The presence of numerous nuclear power plants on the European continent is a guarantee of the energy security of the countries of the continent. At the same time, the problem of storing spent nuclear fuel is also deepening, because fewer and fewer manufacturers are engaged in its processing. The use of radioactive isotopes in medical diagnostics and treatment is also increasing, as well as in many sectors of the economy. But for now, the problem of storing these radioactive materials is lagging. The prospects for storing these materials have been examined and based on the data on the presence of radioactive waste, a systematic proposal for short-term and long-term storage of these materials has been made. The study is in its initial phase and the values are yet to be specified and a more precise proposal for storing nuclear waste is to be made.

Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks are a major cybersecurity threat, aimed at disrupting services by overwhelming system resources or exploiting vulnerabilities. This paper explores the evolution and impact of DoS attacks, including types such as volumetric, protocol, and amplification attacks. It highlights the significant effects on operating systems and demonstrates a practical example of a SYN flood attack realized with Kali Linux, underscoring the need for robust defense strategies to mitigate these evolving threats.

The article presents, summarizes and develops technological concepts of cyber security based on machine learning, data processing and analysis. The seven steps of cyber attacks, use of key techniques of data analysis in cyber defense, application of data processing and analysis in information security and some tools used are presented. Applying data processing and analysis as well as extracting dependencies from them in the field of cyber security has some advantages and disadvantages wich are indicated. A common scheme for data analysis is introduced. Main types of penetration of cyberattacks are involved. Cyber attack models abuse detection and anomaly detection are presented too. Тhree types of anomalies the timing, the number, and the pattern(s) are revealed and examples are pointed.
