DOI: https://doi.org/10.35774/econa2023.04.253 The relevance of the study is due to the fact that today the economic situation in Ukraine in connection with the military aggression of a neighboring country has acquired a rather critical state, as a result of which many domestic corporations are losing production ties, key suppliers and sales markets, reducing business performance indicators processes. Therefore, the main task of corporate management is to find ways to optimize business processes in the existing conditions and direct all the potential of the corporation to maintain and preserve the business. The purpose of the study is to determine the specifics of the impact of corporate governance on the optimization of the enterprise's business processes. The object of the research is cooperative management and its influence on the optimization of the corporation's business processes. The theoretical analysis within the scope of this study was carried out on the basis of the methods of analysis, systematization, generalization and comparison of the theoretical provisions of various researchers regarding the definition of the essence and content of corporate management, as well as its influence on the optimization of the enterprise's business processes. Based on the results of a critical review of scientific works on the essence of corporate governance, the following scientific approaches to its interpretation were distinguished: classical, managerial, regulatory, controlling, strategic, effective, shareholder stakeholder. The author's vision of a complex system of interaction of such approaches based on their systematization into three groups (interest, management, effect) is proposed. At the same time, interest-group approaches are distinguished by a greater attention of scientists to the issues of satisfying the interests of participants in corporate relations, management - an emphasis on management functions and tasks of corporate management, and the effect - on obtaining the desired results from such management in a strategic perspective. The definition of corporate governance is proposed as a system of managing corporate relations in an organization that functions in order to realize its strategic goals by ensuring the effectiveness of the mechanism for making effective decisions based on the regulation and control of corporate rights and monitoring the results of activities to ensure the balance of interests of participants in corporate relations. The content of the concept of "optimization of business processes" in the environment of corporate management is proposed, which is based on the key role of corporate management, which develops a strategy aimed at the result.

Creating value in each company is based on business processes in it. Their rational organization is a key factor in their transformation into a competitive advantage for the company. In order to achieve this it is necessary the business processes to be analyzed in detail, continuously optimized and effectively managed by means of combining of management methods and techniques with tools of information technology.

The purpose of this study is to develop a new model of business processes for the provision of public services on the example of the registration service of the applicant as a person looking for a job at the Center for Employment of Almaty. The subject of the study was selected business processes for the provision of public services  registration of the applicant as a "job seeker". To solve the set tasks, methods of a systematic approach to the study of organizational and economic phenomena, modeling, cost analysis, expert assessments, comparisons, etc. were used. The article builds models of business processes “As-Is” and “To-Be”, identifies duplicate operations, processes were reengineered and the two models were compared using functional cost analysis. Reengineering was carried out not only with the aim of optimizing the business processes of the state authority in question, but also with the goal of developing an “open government”. The article proposes restructuring procedures based on determining priority business processes for reengineering, which, unlike traditional approaches, are ranked based on selected criteria: performance, cost, time, quality, and decomposition by pairwise comparisons; A new model of business processes for the provision of public services has been proposed, a distinctive feature of which is the use of the state portal. As a result of the optimization of business processes, it was possible to reduce the number of operations from twenty-three to five operations, with a decrease in the total duration of the service and its cost. In this state institution, in addition to the considered service for the registration of a citizen as a job seeker, several state services are provided. Thus, it seems appropriate to work on optimizing business processes for other types of services. The results obtained during the study can be used in public institutions of any legal form.

This work considers the optimization and development of business processes in investment. The conditions for the digitalization of the economy actualize the issue of introducing information technologies at all its levels and links. It is proved that information technology is an effective tool for reducing the time for the implementation of individual business processes and in investment. Its use expands the possibilities of exchanging information and its dissemination to the general public, improves the quality of investment tasks and the objectivity of investment decision-making results. Experimental studies have confirmed that the result of its application is the efficiency of obtaining, processing, and analyzing information when making management decisions. The visual content of the results of investment analysis, obtained using automation technologies, facilitates the perception of information, improves the quality of its transmission, and the value of ideas. The continuous development of information technologies in the field of investment is the basis for further scientific and practical research in this area. Based on such considerations, the feasibility of modifying the methodical toolkit of financial calculations in the process of analyzing the effectiveness of investment implementation is justified. Models of the modified internal rate of return on investment and the rate of return on financial management are proposed. Based on their definition, the objectivity of evaluating investments increases, the effectiveness of cash flow management during their implementation is proved. Strengthening the manifestation of crisis phenomena actualize the study of the nature of the occurrence of risks and the degree of their controllability. The approach to assessing investment risks using the β coefficient, the calculation technology, which is a universal tool for assessing the impact of systemic risks at the macro and micro levels, is substantiated.

One of the key issues in corporate management is business process management. That is why the greatest interest for company analysts is the issue of effective forecasting of business processes. In today's digitalization of the economy, integration and automation of business processes have become the main priorities for achieving efficiency and effectiveness of companies, and especially for effective management decisions. This problem can be solved with the help of integrated systems, which are tools for effective management decisions, modeling and optimization of business processes. The article provides an analytical review of known forecasting methods and identifies the features of their application, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages that will take them into account in modeling the company and promote economic development, competitiveness and optimize business processes.

Although Business process modelling is an increasingly popular research area for both organisations and enterprises due to its usefulness in optimizing resources management, business reengineering and business performance, it is not yet widely accepted in Small and Medium size Enterprises (SMEs), which are vital for sustainable economy development. The understanding of Business Process is an essential approach for an Organization to achieve set objectives and improve its operations. It has been able to show Business Analysts, and Managers where bottleneck exists in the system, how to optimize the Business Process to reduce cost of running the Organization, and the required resources needed for an Organization. This is clear for large scale organizations and enterprises but under research investigation for SMEs. Business Process Modelling (BPM) is a representation of the processes of the Organization. Several modelling techniques have been proposed and used to capture the characteristics of business processes. However, limited guidelines exist for selecting appropriate modelling techniques based on the characteristics of the problem and its requirements. This is even more accurate in the case of selecting proper BPM software tools to achieve those BPM modelling and simulation goals. This paper aims at presenting a comparative analysis of some relatively popular business process modelling techniques focusing on the associated software tools. The comparative framework proposed is based on the following major criteria: data flow capability, logical reasoning and understandability, specification of roles, and capability of simulation, flexibility and ease of use, simulation support and scope. However, the emphasis of this investigation is put on SME applicability of these tools and techniques. Therefore, the first goal is to define proper selection criteria for the application of BPM tools to SMEs. The proposed framework can serve as the basis for evaluating further modelling techniques and generating selection procedures focusing on a comparison of existing tools to implement these techniques properly for SMEs. This is to enable a potential user/modeller choose the right technique and tool in modelling critical SME Business Processes in order to analyse and optimize its operations.

Business process modelling is an important part of system design. When designing or redesigning a business process, stakeholders specify, negotiate, and agree on business requirements to be satisfied, including non-functional requirements that concern the quality of the business process. This thesis addresses the question of how to specify and compute the quality of a business process, given the model that stakeholders use. The motivation for this thesis is the increasing importance of the quality of business processes. Knowing the quality of specific business processes enables stakeholders to judge if these processes need improvement. Knowing the quality of the constructs of those processes (viz., events, inputs, activities, and outputs) and the way they are structured enables a more detailed analysis of their shortcomings and provides a basis for the design of improvements. The research challenge of this thesis is grounded in the assumption that: “Organisations need an appropriate means to effectively compute achievement of their goals and objectives by their business processes.” Given this challenge, the main research question on which this thesis focuses is: “Can the quality of a business process be computed quantitatively at different levels of granularity?” The research objective is: “To develop frameworks, factors, and metrics for computing non-functional requirements (quality) of business processes quantitatively at different levels of granularity.” The outcomes of this thesis are: 1) BPIMM, a language-independent business process integrating meta-model, based on the concepts of seven mainstream business process modelling languages: BPMN, EPC, RAD, UML AD, SADT, IDEF0, and IDEF3. 2) BPC-QC (Business Process Concept - Quality Computation), an approach to quality computation at the lowest level of granularity of a business process. The approach consists of: i. BPC-QEF (Business Process Concept - Quality Evaluation Framework), a language-independent generic framework and algorithm to compute the quality of the constructs of a business process: event, input, activity, and output. ii. A set of business process quality dimensions and factors. The following quality dimensions are distinguished: performance, efficiency, reliability, recoverability, permissibility, and availability. Each dimension categorises different quality aspects in terms of factors. A non-exhaustive set of sixteen quantitative factors is provided. iii. Quality metrics for each of the quality factors, to facilitate a quantitative computation of the quality of a specific construct of a business process. 3) BP-QC (Business Process - Quality Computation), an approach to compute the quality at the highest level of granularity of a business process. The approach consists of: i. BP-CQCF (Business Process - Compositional Quality Computation Framework), a language-independent generic framework and algorithm to compute the quality of a business process as a whole, given the quality of its constructs. ii. A set of generic business process modelling patterns to decompose a business process into more succinct parts, namely: sequential, parallel with synchronisation, exclusive, inclusive, simple loop, and complex loop. iii. A set of over one hundred computational formulae. For each combination of modelling pattern and a quality factor, there is a formula to compute the quality. 4) AAV (Approach to Application and Validation), an evaluation plan to evaluate BPIMM, BPC-QC and BP-QC in practice, together with expert stakeholders. The plan consists of the units of measure, a measurement model, and a case study procedure. To evaluate the applicability of the contributions of this thesis to real world business needs, four case studies have been conducted in different environments: a Dutch educational institution, a global financial institution, an international financial service provider, and a Dutch research project on crisis management. Each of these case studies concerns a different, single business process. This thesis shows that: 1) A quality computation approach can be adopted independent of a business process modelling language. 2) Quantitative quality factors can be introduced specifically for the constructs of a business process. 3) Quantitative metrics and computational formulae can be developed for specific quality factors, allowing the computation of different aspects of the quality of a business process quantitatively at different levels of granularity. 4) An evaluation plan can be developed to evaluate the applicability of the contributions of this thesis (viz., BPIMM, BPC-QC, and BP-QC). The contributions of this thesis are designed to be beneficial to the areas of business and management, requirements engineering, software engineering, and business process modelling. In the areas of requirements engineering and software engineering, these contributions are intended to help practitioners to consider non-functional requirements at the earliest stage. In the area of business process modelling, information systems, service computing, and cloud computing, the contributions can be used for quality-driven modelling, design, and redesign. To conclude, knowing the quality value of a business process at different levels of granularity provides a basis for its improvement.

This article discusses the problems of introducing an effective business, as well as optimizing business processes. Various approaches to managing and optimizing business processes are analyzed. The reasons for which it is necessary to improve the process and each component of this process are identified and described. Two main approaches to improving business processes are considered: functional and approach, the main differences between them, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each of them are demonstrated. Any process has a life cycle, thanks to which it follows the article considers the life cycle of six sigma. Based on the material studied, methods for improving business processes are proposed, and the role of the leader is examined, and concepts such as creative management and a creative manager are examined and what their role is in modern business. Any life cycle needs modeling, timely improvement, so that the company can get good results, so managers and chief managers must follow the simple rules discussed in the article in order to simulate the business process as is and as it should be , you can use the Business Process Management Notation and special software designed for this. The general conclusion of the article is that each company should choose its own approach and method of optimizing business processes based on general principles. This paper describes a method for the implementation and optimization of business processes in a service oriented architecture (SOA). A process specification is created by business people, and expressed in Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). The specification is then translated into Business Process Execution Language (BPEL), and used by technical people as a reference process, which is subject to a series of transformations that change the internal process structure in order to improve the quality of the process execution. The behavior of each transformed process is verified automatically against the behavior of the reference process. The verification mechanism is based on a mapping from BPEL to Language of Temporal Ordering Specification (LOTOS), followed by a comparison of the trace set that is generated using a program dependence graph of the reference process and the trace set of the transformed one. When the design goals have been reached, the transformed BPEL process can be executed on a target SOA environment using a BPEL engine.

To solve the problem of modeling cross-organizational business process, a method of mining the cross-organizational businessprocess model from event logs is proposed. The method describes the different aspects of the cross-organizational business processfrom three perspectives: internal perspective, public perspectiveand collaborative perspective, so as to gain the intra-organization-al process model, the inter-organizational public process model, the collaborative process model in cross-organizational collaborat-ion business. The intra-organizational process model formed bymining, analyzing and sorting the running log of the organization involved in cross-organizational collaboration. The inter-organiza-tional process model is obtained by simplifying the intra-organ-izational process model, and finally the cooperative process modelcan be modelled. Compared with the existing modeling methods, this method can protect the details of the internal business proc-ess, and provides the public process model to public only, which can effectively support the individual characteristics of thecross- organizational business process.

This research discusses the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), workflow management systems (WMS) and business process models and notes (BPMN) to improve the efficiency of modern business processes. Advanced technologies can significantly increase productivity, reduce costs and improve decision-making. The data analysis and automation capabilities of artificial intelligence enable companies to solve problems faster, optimize resource allocation and make better decisions. In combination with WMS, AI optimizes processes, automates workflows and increases operational efficiency. BPMN 2.0 is a clear, standardized method for visualizing and modeling business processes that helps improve communication and consistency between teams. This structured approach enables companies to effectively document, analyze and improve their workflows. Research shows the challenges companies face by using technologies, that also includes data quality issues, resistance to change and the need for a skilled workforce. Analyzing article, the authors consider the potential of quantum computing and developments in artificial intelligence algorithms and emphasize the importance of continuous innovation and adaptation for companies to remain competitive in an ever-evolving technology landscape.

The recipe and grocery shopping application is designed to increase the ease of users in accessing cooking recipes and shopping for groceries in an integrated manner. This research aims to analyze the business processes involved in the application using the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) approach. Analysis is carried out to understand the workflow structure, identify potential efficiencies, and produce performance improvements before and after system implementation. The research results show that the application of this application is able to direct processes that were previously manual and fragmented, such as searching for recipes, making shopping lists, and ordering groceries. The BPMN model is used to visualize changes in business process flow, enabling comprehensive evaluation of aspects of time efficiency, error reduction, and increased user satisfaction. This research concludes that the BPMN approach is effective in analyzing and optimizing business processes in recipe and grocery shopping applications. These findings contribute to the development of similar applications, especially in designing systems that are more efficient and responsive to user needs.

Implementation of enterprise resource planning system to support business process in organization has increased rapidly. Higher education institution is one of organizations which can use enterprise resource planning system to optimize their business process. Universitas Indonesia (UI) is one of the prominent universities in Indonesia who uses enterprise resource planning system for their financial business processes, but the adoption process has not been completed until now. This happened because there are many factors that hinder enterprise resource planning system adoption at the UI. This study combines Technology, Organization, Environment framework and Iacovou model as a guideline to analyze challenges and supporting dimension in adopting enterprise resource planning system in UI. Our research found that challenges are the fact that UI usually developed their own system, lack of communication process in organization, no regulation from government about enterprise resource planning implementation in higher education, and the perceived benefits are not satisfied employees yet. Supporting factors are the existance of good information technology infrastructure, top management support, various enterprise resource planning vendor, and the benefits is slowly felt by employee.

The article explores the vital subject of optimizing business process management, which is essential for enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises. The study evaluates various perspectives, including economic, engineering, and managerial aspects, and underscores the importance of mathematical models over descriptive models in achieving precise and effective optimization. Descriptive models, despite their widespread use, do not guarantee optimal outcomes. The article emphasizes the need for mathematical models to accurately optimize business processes, considering various criteria and constraints. This approach aims to address the limitations of current descriptive models and advocates for the development of specific mathematical models to manage business process optimization under uncertainty. Key findings reveal that optimization in business process management has a significant impact on enterprise efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. The process approach, which concentrates on enhancing individual business processes, is highlighted as a crucial paradigm in modern management. The research calls for further investigations to develop mathematical models that can deliver more reliable and precise optimization results, especially in uncertain conditions. In conclusion, the article supports the transition from descriptive to mathematical models in optimizing business process management to achieve maximum efficiency and competitiveness in enterprises. Future research will focus on developing mathematical optimization models for business processes, particularly those related to new product development under uncertain conditions. This shift is anticipated to offer more accurate and effective solutions for optimizing business processes in a dynamic and unpredictable business environment. Furthermore, the article highlights the need for continuous development and application of mathematical approaches to ensure that business processes are optimized effectively. It stresses the importance of incorporating various optimization criteria and constraints to achieve the best possible outcomes. By transitioning to mathematical models, businesses can better navigate the complexities and uncertainties inherent in today's competitive landscape, leading to improved performance and sustainable growth.

The article discusses the improvement of technologies for performing business processes and their structural elements based on the analysis of existing business processes and their modifications. The analysis shows that process management is the management of a set of interconnected business processes of an enterprise, the result of which is a commodity product. The process control system is adaptively controlled, i.e. allows you to effectively change the internal environment of the enterprise under the influence of the external environment. The proposed methodology shows that the main stages of the implementation of process management are modeling, analysis, optimization, automation and continuous improvement of business processes.
