During February-March 2004, a trial excavation was conducted at Khirbat es-Suyyagh (Permit No. A-4121*; map ref. NIG 2001/6282; OIG 1501/1282). The excavation, carried out on behalf of the Antiquities Authority and financed by the Ministry of Housing and Construction, was directed by E. Kogan-Zehavi, with the assistance of A. Eirikh-Rose (area supervision), A. Hajian and T. Kornfeld (surveying), T. Sagiv (field photography), H. Stark (GPS), Z. Greenhut (scientific consultation and metal detection), L. Kupershmidt (metallurgical laboratory), I. Lidski-Reznikov (pottery drawings), R. Kool (numismatics) and A. Nagorski and H. Moyal.

In September-December 2013, a trial excavation was conducted on the hill of Giv'at Rabbi and to its east (Permit No. A-6905; map ref. 225446-7063/736500-7573), prior to widening Highway 79 and developing the junction at the entrance to Nazareth and the city's industrial area. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by A. Yaroshevich (field and studio photography), with the assistance of M. Shemer, F. Abu Zidan, Y. Gur and R. Liran (area supervision), W. Atrash and Z. Horowitz (consultation), Y. Ya'aqobi and Y. Lavan (administration), R. Mishayev and M. Cohen (surveying and drafting), Y. Bibas (field photography) and F. Fartush of Skyview Company (aerial photography). Y. Gur performed a preliminary survey of the area.

In June-July 2011, a salvage excavation was conducted in Nahal Zanoah (Permit No. A-6613; map ref. 200298-510/624031-182; Fig. 1), prior to construction. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Ministry of Housing, was directed by R. Be'eri (field photography and drafting), with the assistance of R. Abu Diab (administration), M. Kunin (surveying and drafting) and A. Peretz (field photography).

In July 2020, a trial excavation was conducted at the parking lot by the entrance to Banias National Park (Permit No. A-8793; map ref. 265077–143/794681–797; Fig. 1), prior to the development of the site. The excavation was undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) and financed by the Nature and Parks Authority. Work in the field was directed by Y. Tchekhanovets (field photography), with the assistance of R. Assis (archaeological probes), Y. Yaʽacobi (administration), M. Kahan (field surveying), A. Kleiner (aerial photography and digitalization), Z. Badihi (metal detecting), A. Shapiro (field laboratory and petrography), E.J. Stern (pottery), H. Ben-Dov and T. During November 2003, a trial excavation was conducted in the Or 'Akiva industrial zone (Permit No. A-4044; map ref. NIG 19225-9/71413-7; OIG 14225-9/21413-7), prior to the construction of a new neighborhood. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by the Ministry of Housing and Construction, was directed by A. Shadman.

In June–July 2021, a trial excavation was conducted in Mi z pe Ramon (Permit No. A-9051; map ref. 179198–80492/502746–3946; Fig. 1) prior to the installation of a sewage pipeline. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by Mi z pe Ramon Regional Council, was directed by T. Sapir (field photography), with the assistance of Y. Alamor (administration), E. Aladjem (surveying, aerial photography and field photography), A. Azoulay (drafting and plans), T. Abulafia (flints), D. Eisenberg-Degen (flint photography), Y. Asscher and M. Shor (sediment analysis), A. Golani (scientific guidance) and G. Seriy and A. Rasiuk from the IAA Southern district, as well as laborers from ‘Ar‘ara in the Negev.

In July and August 2019, a trial excavation was undertaken east of Kibbutz Kefar Haruv (Permit No. 7740; map ref. 263778-88/741220-5; Fig. 1), prior to paving a bicycle trail. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Golan Regional Council, was directed by A. Efron (field photography), with the assistance of Y. Yaakobi (administration), M. Peleg (field photography), R. Liran (surveying and drafting), A. Shapiro (GPS), H. Tahan-Rosen (pottery drawing), N. Feig and Y. Alexandre (pottery) and Griffin Aerial Photography. Teenagers from nearby communities participated in the excavation.

In June 2017, a trial excavation was undertaken in the village of el-Makr, c. 6 km east of 'Akko (Permit No. A-8015; map ref. 213415-27/759964-73), prior to construction. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Kiyal family, was directed by H. Aboud-Abu 'Uqsa (field photography), with the assistance of B. Zidan and Y. Lavan (administration), J. Gosker (field photography), R. Liran (surveying and drafting), H. Tahan-Rosen (pottery drawing) and workers from Majd el-Krum.

During April 2002, an excavation was conducted on Shazar Boulevard in Be'er Sheva', below the eastern parking lot of the municipal building (Permit No. A-3631; map ref. NIG 18097/57314; OIG 13097/07314), in the wake of exposing two tombs when installing a conduit for runoff. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by the Ministry of Housing and Construction (surveying), was directed by Y. Israel, with the assistance of F. Sonntag (field photography), A. Inbar, A. Sabah-Shahar and E. Kaho (conservation work) and A. Pikovski (pottery drawing). Other participants included S. Spiegel and employees of the Technical Department of the Ministry of Housing, Southern District, A. Ron and Y. Griff - project directors, Eng. K. Leibowitz, Shomroni Construction Company and workers of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and its volunteers under the guidance of Rabbi Schmidel.

The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Ministry of Housing, was directed by A. Dayan, with the assistance of Y. Amrani and E. Bachar (administration), D. Ein-Mor (field photography and consultation), M. Kahan (surveying and drafting), T. Ajami (registration), P. Gandelman (scientific guidance and ceramics), I. Kornfeld and A. ‘Azab (consultation), M. Ajami (metal detection), O. Barzilai and M. Oron (flint tools) and A. Glick (ammunition).

In August 2014, an excavation was conducted west of Tel Yarmut (Permit No. A-7185; map ref. 196957/624206; Fig. 1), prior to construction in Neighborhood D in Ramat Bet Shemesh. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Ministry of Housing, was directed by S. Mizrahi and Y. Paz, with the assistance of Y. Meitlis (area supervision), A. Dimitriev(assistant area supervisor), N. Nehama, R. Abu Halaf and Y. Al-‘Amor (administration), A. Peretz (field photography), A. Hajian, M. Kahan and M.
