The aim of the study is to identify potential ways in which the management company of an industrial park can influence cohesion in Ukraine. The research is based on materials from UNIDO regarding industrial parks, EU materials on cohesion, Ukrainian legislation, and the works of both Ukrainian and foreign scholars. The analysis of the development status of industrial parks in Ukraine indicates that management companies demonstrate rather low performance in fulfilling their primary function of attracting residents. Furthermore, the organizational and legal structure of the management company appears to have little significant impact, as similar low performance is observed across various forms. At this point, it's quite hard to track the impact of management companies on cohesion. The examination of various potential functions of management companies has revealed their capacity to contribute to cohesion. This applies to both the external effects stemming directly from economic activities within the industrial park and the potential terms of agreement between the management company and the industrial park residents.

Relevance. Technoparks are one of the most important ways to form a partnership between the state, business, science and education. This voluntary union, on the one hand, arises on the initiative of any of the subjects of the partnership and this active subject carries out a preliminary examination of possible participants in joint activities, assuming that they already have an interest in the declared subject of interaction, or is convinced that in order to solve the problem of interest to him, it is necessary to expand the search for possible partners. The preliminary discussion of joint activities is framed in the form of a project, which is determined by the innovative nature of the future interaction. However, in order to start joint activities of the future team, it is necessary to work out in advance the legislative framework that ensures the legitimacy of future actions of the partnership entities. It is clear that the source of this kind of legislative foundation is the state. If, during the preliminary examination, such moments are discovered, the implementation of which requires further expansion of the legislative framework, the partnership acts as a customer applying to the state body with an initiative to expand the legislative framework. As stated in the normative legal acts, in order to create the necessary regulatory framework corresponding to the type of activity of partner organizations, it is necessary to have a clear definition of such an organization, taking into account its specific features that determine its structure, goals and participants. Therefore, it is important to clarify the concept of a technopark. In the regulatory framework, we are talking about industrial parks, but in accordance with the explanations offered in the regulatory legal acts, such remarks should also be attributed to technoparks as more complex organizations of partner activity: «It was difficult to call such sites industrial parks, since at that time there was not even a terminological unity in the concept of «industrial park», not to mention determining the compliance of a legal entity with the criteria of an industrial park management company, typologies of industrial parks and minimum requirements for the site itself. The development of a regulatory framework is important for any branch of the economy. Without the formalization and institutionalization of economic phenomena, the emergence of state support measures, the evaluation of performance and the creation of development strategies are impossible» [14, p. 6]. Purpose, materials and methods. Among the unprocessed regulations are issues related to the drafting of contracts between partners regarding in which financial, intellectual, material, production, professional and performing parts the partners record their participation in joint activities. In addition, the issues of the distribution of possible risks for different partners are not balanced and are expressed in different forms: financial, commercial, prestigious, etc. A uniform and systematic legislative framework in this area of technopark activity also needs to be developed. At the present stage of innovation activity, there is no comprehensive systematic approach to ensuring reliable forms of partnership interaction from the point of view of comprehensive provision of its activities with legislative and legal regulations and norms, since we are talking about innovation activity, which in itself implies variability and constant development of science, production, education and training. Due to these circumstances, it is necessary to identify possible common forms, rules, laws, on the basis of which technoparks as ways of a synergistic union of the state, science, production, education are developed for the purpose of innovative development of the country. In this article, the author tries to identify the problems faced by the organization of innovation activities in the form of a technopark. The results of the study. The article shows that the role of the state is necessary and ubiquitous in the organization of innovative activities, but it is expressed differently depending on the type of partnership: in general, first of all, the state forms the legislative and legal basis for all new forms of activity, and in other cases its participation is partial along with other subjects of partnership. Since the imbalance of risks in a partnership is inevitable, compensation issues should be negotiated when forming a new union between the subjects of joint activity. It is also important to understand the need to redistribute managerial functions as specific tasks are solved in the process of project implementation.

This study was aimed at examining the effect of sustainable production management practices (SPMPs) on the environmental, social, and economic performances of clothing manufacturing companies in Ethiopia and their competitive advantages. The purposive sampling technique was employed to select clothing manufacturing companies located in Addis Ababa and Hawassa cities, Ethiopia. The sites were selected because of the availability of a relatively larger number of clothing manufacturing companies in industry parks. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 274 participants selected purposively. Furthermore, 28 top and middle‐level managers of clothing manufacturers were interviewed, and 18 clothing manufacturing companies were checked through checklists. Covariance‐based structural equation modeling was employed to test hypotheses. The findings indicated that SPMPs have a significant impact on the environmental performance and competitive advantages of the case industry. In addition, environmental performance had a significant impact on competitive advantages. However, SPMPs had an insignificant influence on economic and social performances, and economic and social performances also had an insignificant impact on competitive advantages. The findings provide insights for policymakers and managers of clothing manufacturing companies, indicating the environmental good practices and the social and economic intervention areas to improve the competitiveness of the clothing industry in Ethiopia.

The mechanism of economic interactions is represented by mechanisms of three main types: vertical, horizontal and network interactions. The essence of these types of interaction mechanisms, the features of their organization and formation are demonstrated. The mechanism of vertical interactions implies the presence of a certain center that determines the «rules of the game» within the boundaries of the economic space it controls. This type of mechanisms includes, for example, the mechanism of interaction between the state and economic entities, the mechanism of interaction between management companies and various subdivisions in holding-type structures. The mechanism of horizontal interactions is focused on the initiation and maintenance of intersystem and intrasystem interactions. Also there are the issues of organizing interpersonal interactions of individuals acting as independent economic entities in the sphere of influence of this mechanism. The mechanism of network interactions ensures the formation of network communities of an open type, within which there is a trusting cooperation of heterogeneous entities that share the values of these communities and are ready to interact with each other in order to achieve common interests within the framework of formal and informal ties with different levels of scale, intensity and frequency of transactions. As the essential characteristics of these mechanisms, the following are distinguished: the predominant direction of influences, the presence of entities that implement the functions of management, regulation and coordination, the predominant type of interactions, economic spaces within which interactions are organized, the functions of mechanisms.

Edited by Roberta Montemorra Marvin and Hilary Poriss. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2010. [xv, 282 p. ISBN 9780521889988. $90.] Music examples, illustrations, tables, index. The collection of essays found in Fashions and Legacies of Nineteenth-Century Italian Opera offers a look at not only the music and librettos, but also the performing conventions of the nineteenth century and their continued influence on operatic performance today. All of the contributors look to the score (both manuscript and printed), libretto, or disposizioni sceniche. Disposizioni sceniche were staging manuals published by Ricordi to try to control stage directors and scenic designers by preserving the staging as conceived for premiere performances. It is interesting that these directions, which Ricordi tried to impose on all theaters, did not take into account the real-world difficulties caused by the physical limitations of each particular theater. However, they do convey a sense of the effects, both musical and visual, that the composer had in mind. One wonders what Ricordi would have thought of the concept productions found at opera houses around [End Page 577] the world today. At the same time Ricordi was trying to stem the tide of performances of existing works fitted with new librettos or music borrowed from other works. Our concept of copyright did not exist to protect the composer and the publisher, and so Ricordi tried to control the entire production. Each of the essays is a gem, full of useful information on a topic which has not been explored in depth to this writer's knowledge. All of the essays are well documented with copious footnotes. It is interesting that many of the authors cite Philip Gossett's Divas and Scholars: Performing Italian Opera (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2006), a particularly fine source for information about performance practice and score notation in nineteenth-century Italian opera. Certainly this new volume should be required reading not only for musicologists and performers but also for the management of opera companies. As with all books that deal with music, the reader's knowledge of the composer and the particular works being discussed plays into the understanding of the author's main points. Having printed music examples is helpful, but only true familiarity with the score allows readers to recreate in their own minds the ideas the author is proposing. The essays discussing various aspects of Aida, Otello, and even I Puritani were, for this reviewer, more readily assessable than the fascinating essay by Francesco Izzo, "Comic Sights: Stage Directions in Luigi Ricci's Autograph Scores," as the works were not in my mind's ear as I was reading. This is, of course, not the author's fault. Looking into the past, Ellen T. Harris's "Viardot Sings Handel (with Thanks to George Sand, Chopin, Meyerbeer, Gounod, and Julius Rietz)" looks at the contemporary writings concerning Pauline Viardot's performances of not only Handel but also of Gluck. The discussion includes references to Viardot's source scores and to the reviews of her performances, which give insights into her own performance practices. The thought of applauding during the performance of a Gluck aria due to being overcome with emotion would be anathema today, but audiences still do so regularly after an unwritten high note toward the end of an aria, so perhaps times have not changed that much. The lack of proper copyright protection and its consequences is tackled by Fabrizio Della Seta in "I falsi Puritani: A Case of Espionage." Della Seta compares unauthorized vocal scores of I Puritani from several publishers; these are typically based on excerpts published by Ricordi, with the rest filled in by anonymous hands relying more on operatic conventions than a musical inventiveness of Bellini's caliber. This demonstrates not only the difficulty that publishers had in earning their fair profit, but also the forward-looking nature of Bellini's final opera, as exemplified by passages that do not follow the conventions of the time. In the same vein, Roberta Montemorra Marvin discusses the issue of popular realizations of Verdi arias for home use in England in...

As the construction of multi-family housings, especially apartments, has been increased since 1970s, the multi-family housing becomes one of the main housing types in Korea. With the increase of multi-family housings, managing them becomes an important issue. Since 2010, the government has made a lowest price award system by a competitive bid compulsory to promote the development of housing management systems. Although competitive bids were implemented, the maintenance company was finally selected by the price without any other consideration. Consequently, the quality of management service was not enhanced. The purpose of this study is to suggest the improvement scheme of multi-family housing management system. In this study, the bidding data of "K-apt", the bidding method and the successful tendered price are analyzed. The results of analyzing bidding materials, the proportion of applying a lowest price system was 67.7%. Also many diverse ways to select the best management company were used, but most of these ways were violate the law and guidelines of Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. It meant that the lowest price award system was not implemented by strict standards and didn't correspond with the needs of residents of apartment. This condition made the housing maintenance quality low and deteriorated the management industry development. To enhance this condition, a new standard to select the management company, which are included contents of quality of managing quality, management expenses and companies' soundness, is necessary.

Formulation of the problem. In the conditions of global competition, lean production acquires special importance. For enterprises all over the world, the only way to survive in the market is to produce goods and provide services that most fully satisfy the demands of consumers, while using advanced management methods and technologies. Lean manufacturing is one of the modern tools of production organization and management technology, which is used to improve the quality of products and services, the most complete satisfaction of consumer needs, while ensuring a careful attitude to the company's resources and their savings.
The purpose of the study is the further development of methodological, methodical and practical approaches to the concept of Lean manufacturing to improve the quality of the enterprise's business processes.
Research methods. The research used scientific methods, such as theoretical generalization, comparison, analysis, synthesis.
Result. In the process of research, a comparison of traditional business management and the concept of lean production was made and revealed. that the concept of lean production has such advantages as the transition from centralized, vertical management to horizontal, involvement of all employees in the process, teamwork, focus on rational use of resources. The concept of lean production is aimed at eliminating the following main types of losses: overproduction of goods; waiting for raw materials, semi-finished products, necessary service information; unnecessary movement of materials; redundant processing steps arising due to errors in the design of business processes; excessive stocks and business processes leading to their occurrence; unjustified rotation of personnel in the work process; production of waste; underutilization of employees' creative potential.
Conclusions. Six main elements and 52 components (requirements) of Lean manufacturing are defined based on the SAE J4000 standard for more successful application of lean manufacturing ideas in practice production to analyze the levels of implementation of lean manufacturing methodology components and elements. The main elements of the concept of lean manufacturing, the development and improvement of which should be focused on, are: company management and trust in it; enterprise personnel; information environment; chain "supplier – organization – consumer"; product; business processes. An important role in the concept of lean manufacturing is played by the 5S ordering system and the system of general maintenance of TPM equipment .
Keywords: lean manufacturing; losses; flow of value creation; 5S ordering system; system of general maintenance of TPM equipment; SAE standard J4000.

ARNE DUNCAN is the brightest and most dedicated schools leader Chicago has had in memory, and he comes to this post from a long and deep experience in neighborhood community development and education. Perhaps most important, he knows the value of community engagement; indeed, his first public act as CEO was to meet with the hunger-strikers and activists from Little Village/Lawndale to reverse the backward decision of his predecessor and help create a magnificent campus of four autonomous small schools at the new Little Village High School. All of this makes his response to our article a bit bewildering. Duncan begins by admonishing us for failing to embrace the board's Renaissance 2010 policy and instructs us on our responsibility to be People in power desire nothing more than obedience and easy agreement, but this is not the proper role for either reformers or scholars, and CPS policies in the past have not warranted even a tepid hug. small schools movement in Chicago has worked through four different administrations to support teachers and make schools smaller and better. We have never been embracers, even though each regime has urged us in exactly that direction. Nor have we ever been impartial. Our role is to be skeptics, critics, and agnostics, people who can take a stand and still work with educators to transform failing schools into vital communities of learning. We've done our best to dodge the orthodoxy, dogma, and new fads that cling to school reform like barnacles, sharp and ugly, to a ship; we support innovation, initiative, and improvement. One of our important current projects is to support the creation of a new high school on the west side of Chicago. To say that Klonsky is to open a new school under Renaissance 2010, as Duncan does, shows that he misunderstands our role and our efforts. But the language of bidding is revealing and pretty much confirms our main point regarding the selling off of public space. forces driving Ren 10, including privatizers and business-oriented foundations, create a market metaphor for school change and insert a half-language of business into the conversation: economies of scale, standardization, stakeholders, best practices, inputs and outputs, skill sets. And bids. It's true--Ren 10 will have bidders, mostly private educational management companies (EMOs), that will tender offers to run the overwhelming majority (despite Duncan's denials) of the district's 100 new schools. Two-thirds of the new schools will be non-union, and most will have no elected Local School Councils. When Duncan claimed that 14 of the first 22 new schools used union teachers, he was telling only a part of the story. In the next wave of selections from new school bidders, 16 out of 16 bids went to non-union EMOs, including one to discredited former Secretary of Education Bill Bennett's K12 Inc. assumption driving Ren 10 in this direction is that the main obstacles to school improvement are poor teachers, their union, and the community. As Eden Martin, head of the powerful business lobby, the Civic Committee, wrote to Arne Duncan a year ago: The school unions will not like creation of a significant number of new schools that operate outside the union agreement, but operating outside the agreement is a key element of this strategy. CEO Duncan responded that he's not an ideological person, but that like the competition and choice this will provide. I want Chicago to be a Mecca where entrepreneurship can flourish. (1) EMOs use the language of autonomy to evade community engagement and collective bargaining with teachers. That's why we also take some issue with Lewis Cohen's one-sided emphasis on autonomous schools. While we support the main thrust of Cohen's position and appreciate the need for new small schools to have as much local control as possible over their own budgets, teacher hiring, and other administrative matters, we don't regard autonomy as the be-all and end-all in what it's all about. …

In October 1990 an automatic meteorological station was established at the Arctic Station (69°15'N, 53°31'W), Qeqertarsuaq (Godhavn), Central West Greenland, The station register parameters each 20 min, and the parameters have been described in an earlier paper in this journal by Nielsen et al. Concentrational agriculture, defined as types of agriculture based on local concentration of plant nutrients, encompasses two main types: shifting cultivation and infield-outfield systems. They may ecologically be characterised by their mode of concentration: either by a vertical or a horisontal transfer (‘pumping’) of nutrients, respectively. The use of the general term ‘concentrational agriculture’ for the two forms is advocated by demonstrating that functional substitution of one by the other is possible, and by showing that the one type theoretically can be derived from the other. Historically, infield-outfield systems are supposed to be developed from some form of shifting cultivation. Kort beretning om virksomheden i 1995 Justering af medlemskredsen. With the development of society, international trade is playing an important role. Maritime transport has become the main mode of transport in international trade with its advantages of low transport price, large transport volume and low environmental pollution. However, the rapid development of maritime transport is accompanied by the risk of maritime accidents. Studies show that ship collision accident has always been the main type of maritime accidents, and ship collision caused by human factors accounts for more than 90% of the total accidents. It has become a key issue in the research field of ship navigation safety to analyze the causes of ship collision and explore the mechanism of human factors. By analyzing the ship collision accident reports, this paper summarizing the main human factors of ship collision, and through analyzing the causal chain of ship collision accident to determine the Bayesian network structure. Finally, this paper using the accident reports into the model to illustrate the effectiveness of the Bayesian network model; meanwhile, by analyzing the cause of the Bayesian network model, this paper gets most likely cause chain that cause collision accident happens, so as to providing safety management countermeasures for the crew, ship company and ship safety management department.

In this research, the researcher adopts a practical and the theoretical parts. First, is the practical part, it consists of the problem, the aim, the hypothesis, the procedures and the limits of the study. These will be in the first part. In part two which is the theoretical part, the researcher indicates two main types of researches which are quantitative and qualitative research. Then the research is dedicated to the description of methodology, the results and finally the conclusion. The study aims first to clarify the quantitative and qualitative researches and second to investigate the performance of Iraqi EFL researchers in writing quantitative and qualitative researches. The main tool that is used in this research is the questionnaire which was included personal information such as (bachelor of education) and teachers (master and doctorate) and different questions about quantitative or qualitative researches. It combined (30) participants, (20) as fourth stage researchers, and (10) for lecturer, it was designed to measure which of the researchers has knowledge about the two types of researches, and how can they distinguish between each one, what are the main different points between quantitative and qualitative research. We can see the results from their answers when we analyze the questionnaire.

One Foot Out of the Plastic Cage:The Un-Americanization of West German Consumer Society David Steigerwald (bio) Jan L. Logemann. Trams or Tailfins? Public and Private Prosperity in Postwar West Germany and the United States. Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2012. vii + 300 pp. Figures, tables, abbreviations, notes, and index. $45.00. For about a week in Summer 2011, my favorite restaurant became the Lidenbrau at Potsdamer Platz. Partly, this was because I did not know Berlin well, and the prominent location is easy to find. Though I had never been there, the place looked familiar. Helmut Jahn’s SONY building famously lords over the site, Mt. Fuji–like; but given contemporary architects’ apparent conviction that no amount of glass is too much, one could be forgiven for thinking of Jahn’s buildings in Philadelphia or Chicago. The clearest proof that we weren’t in Kansas City was the waiter’s response when my companion asked for tap water: He shook his head in stern disapproval and delivered an emphatic “NO!” Today’s Potsdamer Platz is an international architectural showcase. After the Wall came down, the junction became the world’s largest single construction site and gave work to an array of world-renowned architects, including Jahn, Renzo Piano, Arata Isozaki, and Richard Rogers. They brought with them the latest in building fashion, if not a rich knowledge of, or respect for, the city’s past. For many Berliners, the plaza’s pell-mell reconstruction symbolized not so much German redemption as the post–Cold War triumph of global capitalism at virtually the precise geographical flash point of three-quarters of a century of profound human conflict. Destroyed in the war, left desolate in No Man’s Land after 1961, Potsdamer Platz was mostly a weed-strewn wasteland in the early 1990s. Then the city invited multinationals like SONY to scoop up huge tracts of prime real estate for their vanity buildings, and the architects imposed their visions without much reference to Berlin’s notable architectural past. City officials and locals alike bemoaned the “Manhattanization” of a space that has played a key role in their city since Frederick the Great turned it into the main point of royal entry into the capital from Sanssouci. Surely this was a better resolution than bombs and guard posts, but it was bound to leave anyone who cared about the German-ness of the city ambivalent at best. [End Page 132] It is tricky business negotiating between the homogenizing pressures of global capital and particular social and cultural forms, and the most important contribution that Jan L. Logemann makes in Trams or Tailfins? is his largely convincing explanation for how a distinct value system can shape and control consumer capitalism in ways that honor, rather than obliterate, that distinctiveness. In arguing that West Germany was not “Americanized” after the war, Logemann joins a long debate about American consumer capitalism’s power, sweep, and depth of influence in the developed world through the second half of the twentieth century. In pointed contrast to Reinhold Wagnleitner’s Coca-colonization and the Cold War (1994) and Victoria de Grazia’s Irresistible Empire (2005), Logemann argues that, for all the noisy commentary, pro and con, about postwar Americanization, West Germans shaped their version of the affluent society according to deeply held and distinctly un-American values. Rather than a sweeping homogenization of the developed world, postwar affluence ran along “different paths to consumer modernity” (p. 2). Logemann’s book is a closely reasoned “structural comparison” (p. 2) of the competing manners by which the United States and West Germany moved through the postwar Age of Affluence. He argues that, during the postwar “miracle years,” West Germans molded a regime of consumption based on the ideal of “social citizenship” and insisted on a privileged place for public goods over merely private ones. Instead of the “consumer-as-citizen” (whom Lizabeth Cohen, in The Consumer’s Republic [2003], defined as the main social type in postwar America), West Germans promoted the social consumer who practiced “public consumption,” which Logemann defines as “the provision of publicly funded alternatives to private consumer goods and services in areas ranging from housing...

Theoretical provisions highlighted in the article on the possibilities of building effective sales chains in terms of planning the costs of operating activities, in particular for manufacturers can have significant practical value for company management.

The purpose of the article is to fill the gap in the professional information field. The scientific significance of the article is that for the first time in the theory of Kazakhstanijournalism, there have been analyzed all types of lavalier-type microphones and their accessories. Interms of research methods, there were used two main types of reviews such as systematic andnarrative. This provided the most complete picture. For instance, a systematization of existingknowledge about lavalier microphones and an evaluation of that knowledge. As a result of thestudy, seven categories of lapel microphones have been derived and the characteristics of each ofthem are briefly presented. The value of the work lies in summing the main points in a short andsimple way. The practical significance of the work’s results lies in the collection of informationnecessary for the daily work of a journalist on television or on the Internet. There were derived five"golden rules”, which a journalist must always apply for high-quality sound recording andaesthetic picture in the frame. Previously, there were no such reviews in the Kazakhstani scientificliterature, so this work contributes to the development of the domestic special literature.
