클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술과 스마트 장치 기술의 발전은 다양한 분야에서 그 영향력을 확대하고 있다. 콘텐츠 서비스에 있어서 콘텐츠를 안전하게 보호하기 위한 DRM(digital rights management) 기술은 매우 중요한 요소로 다양한 스마트 장치에서 시간 및 장소의 제약 없이 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 DRM 기술 간의 상호 운용성(interoperability)을 해결해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 환경에서 DRM 기능들을 서비스로 제공하는 DRM 클라우드를 연구하여 서로 다른 DRM 기술들을 서비스로 제공함으로써 상호 운용성을 해결하고자 한다. 즉, 서로 다른 DRM이 적용된 콘텐츠를 스마트 장치에서 사용하고자 할 때 DRM 클라우드로부터 해당 DRM 모듈과 기능들을 SaaS와 같은 서비스로 콘텐츠의 사용을 제어한다. 이를 위해 DRM 클라우드 사용자와 DRM 클라우드 간의 원활한 서비스 호출과 제공을 수행하는 중개자인 DRM Proxy의 기능과 구조를 정의하고 구현 결과를 기술한다. The development of cloud computing technology and smart devices have increasingly been expanding the influence in various fields. Although DRM(Digital Rights Management) is a very important technology for secure content services, interoperability among DRM technologies must be addressed in order to provide the service without the constraints of time and place on various smart devices. In this paper, we study DRM Cloud which provides DRM functions as a service in cloud computing environment, and address interoperability problem by providing different DRM technologies as a cloud service. That is, when a user wants to play contents with the different DRM technologies on a smart device, the usage of the content is controlled by providing the corresponding DRM module and function as SaaS from DRM cloud. To do this, we define the functions and structure of DRM Proxy which performs smooth service call and provision between DRM cloud user and DRM cloud, and finally we describe the experimental implementation result.

Blockchain for digital rights management

The digital content distribution businesses satisfy people's requirements for the rich and colorful digital content and also promote the user experience. These businesses also make an increasing profit for content makers, content providers and network carrier, and will be a critical position in the future business value chain. However, copyright piracy still doesn't solve very well and results in great loss for content providers. The digital content has the characteristics of easy copy and distribution, therefore, digital rights management has been the key technology to protect intellectual property of digital contents, control their dissemination and usage in digital content Web issue. First, synthetically analyze the disadvantages of typical digital rights management framework. Second, given a series of the problems in the modern system, digital rights management system based on smart card is proposed. Making use of the characteristic of smart card itself, the new framework will be mobile, secure and off-line. Following this, a set of digital management protocols are designed, including license acquisition protocol, usage, update protocol and authentication. The new system's framework, module structure, system design and realization are described. At last, the new system's characteristic is analyzed and is proved to be secure and efficiency.

Cloud computing and big data: Technologies and applications

This chapter introduces digital rights management (DRM) in the perspective of digital policy management (DPM) focusing on the enterprise and corporate sector. DRM has become a domain in full expansion with many stakes which are by far not only technological. They also touch legal aspects as well as business and economic. Information is a strategic resource and as such requires a responsible approach of its management, almost to the extent of being patrimonial. Digital rights and policy management is now well established mainly in two distinct sectors sharing the same fundamental underlying technical principles: on the one hand, the entertainment and media industry, and on the other hand, the enterprise sector. This chapter mainly focuses on the latter, introducing DRM concepts, standards, and the underlying technologies from its origins to its most recent developments in order to assess the challenges and opportunities of enterprise digital policy management.

This position paper summarizes the development and the present status of Department of Defense (DoD) and other government policies and guidances regarding cloud computing services. Due to the heterogeneous and growing biomedical big datasets, cloud computing services offer an opportunity to mitigate the associated storage and analysis requirements. Having on-demand network access to a shared pool of flexible computing resources creates a consolidated system that should reduce potential duplications of effort in military biomedical research. Interactive, online literature searches were performed with Google, at the Defense Technical Information Center, and at two National Institutes of Health research portfolio information sites. References cited within some of the collected documents also served as literature resources. We gathered, selected, and reviewed DoD and other government cloud computing policies and guidances published from 2009 to 2017. These policies were intended to consolidate computer resources within the government and reduce costs by decreasing the number of federal data centers and by migrating electronic data to cloud systems. Initial White House Office of Management and Budget information technology guidelines were developed for cloud usage, followed by policies and other documents from the DoD, the Defense Health Agency, and the Armed Services. Security standards from the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the Government Services Administration, the DoD, and the Army were also developed. Government Services Administration and DoD Inspectors General monitored cloud usage by the DoD. A 2016 Government Accountability Office report characterized cloud computing as being economical, flexible and fast. A congressionally mandated independent study reported that the DoD was active in offering a wide selection of commercial cloud services in addition to its milCloud system. Our findings from the Department of Health and Human Services indicated that the security infrastructure in cloud services may be more compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 regulations than traditional methods. To gauge the DoD's adoption of cloud technologies proposed metrics included cost factors, ease of use, automation, availability, accessibility, security, and policy compliance. Since 2009, plans and policies were developed for the use of cloud technology to help consolidate and reduce the number of data centers which were expected to reduce costs, improve environmental factors, enhance information technology security, and maintain mission support for service members. Cloud technologies were also expected to improve employee efficiency and productivity. Federal cloud computing policies within the last decade also offered increased opportunities to advance military healthcare. It was assumed that these opportunities would benefit consumers of healthcare and health science data by allowing more access to centralized cloud computer facilities to store, analyze, search and share relevant data, to enhance standardization, and to reduce potential duplications of effort. We recommend that cloud computing be considered by DoD biomedical researchers for increasing connectivity, presumably by facilitating communications and data sharing, among the various intra- and extramural laboratories. We also recommend that policies and other guidances be updated to include developing additional metrics that will help stakeholders evaluate the above mentioned assumptions and expectations.

Streaming media is widely adopted by thousands of applications in cloud computing, how to effectively protect streaming media contents is a new challenge. In this paper, we propose an efficient online digital rights management (DRM) scheme supporting dynamic license in cloud computing. The content provider encrypts media content and outsources the encrypted content to cloud storage, while the user acquires dynamic license from the license server and consumes the streaming media content from the cloud storage. Further, we present a secure key distribution protocol based on proxy re-encryption, which protects the confidentiality of content encryption key, and reduces the work of key management in the cloud, and also supports domain key to realize user domain management. In addition, we develop a prototype system with Google cloud storage APIs based on the proposed scheme, and the implementation and comparison results show that the proposed scheme satisfies the requirements of online media content protection in cloud computing.

In the current technological era, the use of computers becomes an essential part of our life. The Internet has been become as mandatory in the human-being life. The cloud computing has the potential to transform the current static Internet into a fully integrated future Internet. It is a style of computing in which resources are provided “as a service” to users who need not have knowledge or expertise and or control over the infrastructure. The cloud computing technology has become a popular and necessary in the present decade. The cloud computing is the way of sharing resources for the use of various resources via the internet. Hence there are many cloud service providers are competing with each other in order to provide cloud services to the cloud users. In fact, the growth of cloud users has been increased tremendously from last decade to the present decade. In directives to provide right cloud service to users is aimed at almost all cloud service providers. The cloud service providers are also increasing many features of their cloud service products to attract the cloud service users. But cloud service users are facing difficulties to select the right service from a pool of cloud services. Hence it has become necessary for cloud service users to evaluate cloud services and select the best one, for this purpose a new evaluation model has been proposed in this paper based on data mining Fuzzy clustering algorithm.

Cloud computing is a new computing model which uses virtualization technology, distributed computing, parallel computing and other existing technologies to achieve cloud service virtualization and economies of scale, whilst increasingly overwhelming cloud security issues has brought great challenges and concerns to the cloud services providers and cloud users, especially trust and privacy issues with regard to cloud computing and cloud shared storage associated security issues. In the paper, we expound the basic concepts of cloud computing, deployment models, service models and key features, analyze and outline the currently highlighted cloud security issues, report the status quo of cloud computing security, investigate the prevalent and typical cloud computing security problem key solving techniques, and thus render a comprehensive cloud computing security technical reference model, which is composed of associated cloud security solving techniques that result from inevitably multi-faceted cloud security issues. The model is expected to alleviate prominent cloud security issues. 현재의 저작권 보호 기술 개발은 디지털 콘텐츠의 최종 소비자인 구매자단을 대상으로 해서 주로 이루어지고 있다. 그러나. 불법복제는 최종 소비자인 구매자뿐만 아니라 디지털 콘텐츠의 유통 가치사슬 중간 단계인 공급자와 배포자단에서도 항상 발생할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 창작자가 콘텐츠를 배포한 시점부터 구매자가 소비하는 시점까지 모든 유통 가치사슬에서 콘텐츠의 저작권 보호를 지원하는 End-to-end 디지털 저작권 보호 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다 제안하는 시스템은 창작자, 공급자, 배포자 단에서도 구매자 단에서와 같이 콘텐츠 저작권을 안전하게 관리하고 콘텐츠의 불법 사용을 방지할 수 있는 기술적 장치를 제공함으로써 각 유통주체의 저작권을 보호하고 소유권 침해를 방지할 수 있는 환경을 제공한다. Current technologies on digital rights management (DRM) have focused on security and encryption as a means of solving the issue of unauthorized copying, that is, locking the content and limiting its distribution to only purchasers. But, illegal content copy should be protected not only from purchasers but also from other principals such as media distributors and content providers. In this paper, we designed and implemented end-to-end digital lights management system that can cover a content protection on the overall value-chains of content distribution. Proposed system provides content protection and secure management of digital rights in creator, provider, and distributor like in purchaser. Accordingly it can provide an environment protecting each principal's digital rights and prohibiting illegal usage of content.

An improved E-DRM scheme for mobile environments

The simplicity of material reproduction and distribution has made protecting intellectual property rights more and more difficult in the digital age. By means of access and use control, Digital Rights Management (DRM) systems have become increasingly important in protecting copyrighted material. Studies indicate that DRM especially in the music and publishing sectors discourages illegal use and supports monetisation strategies for digital media. DRM, on the other hand, sometimes creates compromises that can lower user happiness and even promote piracy as a kind of resistance by restricting consumer rights and interoperability problems. New studies underlined the need of a balanced DRM strategy combining legal, technical, and economic elements while honouring fair use and user autonomy. Advances in blockchain and smart contracts are also being investigated as decentralised substitutes for conventional DRM systems, promising possible enhancements in rights enforcement and openness. The ease with which material may be reproduced and disseminated in the digital age has made intellectual property rights protection more difficult. Systems for digital rights management, or DRM, have become essential for protecting intellectual material by limiting access and use. DRM successfully discourages unauthorised usage and promotes digital media monetisation models, according to research, especially in the publishing and music sectors. DRM frequently brings trade-offs, though, such restricted consumer rights and interoperability problems, which can lower user pleasure and occasionally incite piracy as a form of resistance. A balanced DRM strategy that incorporates legal, technological, and economic tactics while upholding fair usage and user liberty is crucial, according to recent study. As decentralised alternatives to conventional DRM systems, developments in blockchain technology and smart contracts are also being investigated since they may enhance rights enforcement and transparency.

In the era of digital technologies, working with large volumes of data is undergoing significant changes due to new technologies. This article presents a theoretical and methodological description and analysis of the integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and blockchain to address complex tasks in data processing and information management. The subject of the study is the development of an efficient data storage system to solve applied tasks in various scientific fields. Cloud computing provides seamless access to digital resources, supports remote services, and reduces dependence on physical infrastructure by hosting databases and management systems on virtual platforms. This fosters scalability and distribution of computational power for processing vast amounts of information and deploying complex artificial intelligence models. Artificial intelligence, particularly automated machine learning (AutoML) and generative models, automates labor-intensive stages of data preparation, significantly enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of models. Blockchain technology, in turn, addresses critical issues of security, data integrity, and digital rights management, creating a trusted and immutable environment for decentralized data processing systems. The joint application of these technologies lays the foundation for the creation of self-optimizing, scalable, and secure automated data processing systems, as demonstrated by examples in library science, healthcare, and linguistics. For instance, blockchain technology ensures the transparency, reliability, and security of library records. It plays an important role in managing intellectual property, digital rights management (DRM), and authenticating rare or archival documents. In linguistics, we note the ability of data structures to handle linguistic ambiguity and demonstrate complex relationships between language elements, using logical input mechanisms and principles of synergetics. Further work is expected to develop more advanced automation technologies for rapid deployment of trained models with fewer data and the potential for use in various fields.

Digital Right Management (DRM) is a system for protecting the digital rights of the copyrighted data which is widely distributed through the internet or other means of digital media by permitting secure distribution and preventing from illegal distribution of the copyrighted data. Cloud computing is an emerging technology where a huge amount of data is stored from all around the world, from different countries and Organizations. Thus it is important to secure and protect the confidentiality of this data and also to preserve the privacy of the user who is using this technology, so that no one can reveal their personnel information and identity even their own Cloud Service Provider (CSP). In This Paper a comparative analysis of the various schemes is presented, most of them rely on a Trusted Third Party (TTP), but even the TTP can be malicious. To overcome the drawbacks an enhanced scheme is proposed which preserve both the digital rights of the content and privacy of the user without relying on TTP. Comparative analysis shows that proposed scheme is better than other techniques which are mentioned in this paper a suitable for upcoming Cloud based Systems.
