A Service Driver Based Application Execution and Development Method in Multi-cloud Context

In an effort to reduce the mortality rate due to infection in infants, immunization activities are carried out. Implementation of immunization, namely through Integrated Service Posts. In the current system, child immunization data is recorded on the KMS (Kartu Menuju Sehat) that parents bring to the immunization program. The card is prone to missing, which causes parents to not have their child's immunization history data. The existence of a computerized application can help the health service process to be faster and provide valid and up to date data. Immunization data monitoring application is an application that was built to help organize the data into information needed to support routine monitoring activities at the public health center of Pembina. The design of this application uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and is developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method that can produce systems quickly and directly involve the user in the application development process. This research resulted in an immunization data monitoring application intended for parents and officers of the Integrated Service Post at public health center.

Nowadays, cloud applications are developed in Platforms as a Service and Infrastructures as a Service. Before the advent of Cloud computing, software engineering knew several approaches and methodologies for application development like: agiles methods and service oriented approaches. With cloud computing and the convergence toward Everything as a Service, application development methods are moving to a new paradigm which abstracts the underlying architecture and infrastructure. We find in the literature, some work describing frameworks and architectures for cloud software development, but there is a lack of a methodology which covers the whole application development lifecycle. Furthermore, these work are mainly dedicated to developers. Our work fits into the perspective of defining a methodology for automatic cloud-based services-oriented business application development. The methodology we propose is designed for non-IT professional users. It avoids the huge technical background needed for cloud application development by automating the process of development, avoids PaaS dependency and advocates the implicit collaboration by reusing and composing services. We define a vocabulary, which is based on linked USDL principles and aims to describe the application requirements in a high level of abstraction of the development details.

The development of education today cannot be separated from the development of science and technology. The world of education is required to always move along with the development of global technology. Massive open online course Is a learning model aimed at all people without limits and have open access through the web or can be interpreted as a large-scale online course where all participants can share open educational resources. Based on the above needs, the right solution for application development is to use microservices architecture. Ce microservice architecture can overcome great complexity because, each application feature will be divided into small parts. The application development method used is rational unified process method as one of the software development methods that give focus to software architecture.

While various platforms are offering facilities for single-cloud application design, deployment and provisioning, there is a need to move to multiple clouds in order to achieve cost-effectiveness and avoid vendor lock-in. Apart from not supporting multi-cloud application management, many platforms usually focus on the deployment and provisioning phases of the cloud-based application lifecycle by neglecting the design phase. However, the design selection of the best possible cloud service composition affects the provisioning phase, as the more distant from optimality is the selected solution, the more adaptation actions will be enacted. To this end, there is a high need for cloud application design tools and methods which can select the best possible cloud service composition based on user requirements. This paper satisfies this need by proposing a cloud service composition approach able to optimally compose different types of cloud services by simultaneously satisfying various types of user requirements. These types, not concurrently supported by any cloud application design tool, include quality, deployment, security, placement and cost requirements. Moreover, the proposed approach addresses a particular design choice type not currently considered in literature.

This study proposes the development of a QR Code-based attendance application equipped with offline mode and data synchronization features, using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. In PT.Bintang Energi Pratama, employee attendance management is a significant challenge, especially when the internet connection is unstable. Therefore, this system is designed to enable efficient attendance recording even without internet access, with data stored locally. When the connection is back available, the system automatically synchronizes data to the central server, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of attendance information. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is used in the development of this system to accelerate the design, implementation, and testing processes, and ensure that the required features can be quickly adapted based on user feedback. The results of this study are expected to improve the productivity and efficiency of employee attendance management, as well as provide an effective solution to the challenges of attendance in a dynamic work environment.

This paper focuses on software quality assurance in android application development with focus on approaches to confirm software quality in android applications. In this work, we compare the waterfall model with agile-scrum methodologies to realize software quality assurance with special focus on mobile applications. This research allows us to answer, “Which process model and practices are available for android software development along with focus on quality assurance?” The other research focus in this paper is “How auditors, developers and testers play their defined roles to maintain quality in mobile application development?” Agility for software development has transformed into a preferred and favored method for mobile application development. The major aim of this research is to contribute for a better knowledge for mobile application development methodologies practiced by the organizations for the development of applications based on systematic literature review.

While previous research on application adoption has partly advanced our understanding of factors affecting the adoption of mobile applications, less attention has been given to the whole process of application development, from idea characteristics to the supportive activities after launch. In particular, less is known about these factors in the context of developing countries, where mobile applications are gaining increasing popularity. In this vein, this paper, adopting a grounded theory approach, aims to identify factors influencing the adoption of entertainment mobile application from the developer's points of view focusing on different phases of application development in the novel context of Iran. The authors' in-depth semi-structured interviews with experts in mobile application development firms indicate 15 factors classified within four categories based on the application development process, entailing idea characteristics, design, marketing communications and supportive activities. The implications of these findings provides valuable insight into why some mobile applications are more successful than others.

The emergence of Covid-19 in 2020 has changed many aspects of life in the world. The Covid-19 pandemic has also affected the economy, education and other sectors such as the social and religious fields. Due to restrictions on attending worship activities, the idea emerged to utilize facilities that were believed to assist worship activities. One of facilities contained in existing technology to assist houses of worship is online. The influence of technology during the pandemic on the social and religious sectors is considered to have great benefits. As an example of the impact that occurred in the Church of St. Theresia of the Bongsari Parish.When mid-July 2020, after the government issued a New Normal policy, the Parish began to open mass activities by offline. The system used at that time included people registering through a collective list from the head of section where parishioners domicile nearby. However, the registration system is still considered ineffective, so the registration system is then developed using the Google Form facility. Although the offline mass registration system has undergone many developments, it still has many shortcomings. Therefore, the responsive web-based offline mass registration application is expected to be able to help the problems experienced by the church during the mass registration flow as well as the development of a dashboard as a means to be able to process data easily and efficiently for church administration officers. Application development is carried out using the ADDIE method, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In addition, the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is also used to support the application development process.In this study, a survey with 60 respondents was carried out with the community, and from the test results it can be concluded that the usefulness of the offline mass registration application, as well as device support and the ease and pleasure of using this application have a correlation with the intention to use a website-based offline mass registration application.

Context: Large-scale offshore software development programmes are complex, with challenging deadlines and a high risk of failure. Agile methods are being adopted, despite the challenges of coordinating multiple development teams. Agile processes are tailored to support team coordination. Artefacts are tangible products of the software development process, intended to ensure consistency in the approach of teams on the same development programme.Objective: This study aims to increase understanding of how development processes are tailored to meet the needs of large-scale offshore software development programmes, by focusing on artefact inventories used in the development process.Method: A grounded theory approach using 46 practitioner interviews, supplemented with documentary sources and observations, in nine international companies was adopted. The grounded theory concepts of open coding, memoing, constant comparison and saturation were used in data analysis.Results: The study has identified 25 artefacts, organised into five categories: feature, sprint, release, product and corporate governance. It was discovered that conventional agile artefacts are enriched with artefacts associated with plan-based methods in order to provide governance. The empirical evidence collected in the study has been used to identify a primary owner of each artefact and map each artefact to specific activities within each of the agile roles.Conclusion: The development programmes in this study create agile and plan-based artefacts to improve compliance with enterprise quality standards and technology strategies, whilst also mitigating risk of failure. Management of these additional artefacts is currently improvised because agile development processes lack corresponding ceremonies.

Whereas the recent hardware innovations brought increasingly powerful computers to the market at constantly lower prices, the development cost and time of software applications has not decreased at all. In the field of network management, applications and tools are usually large, expensive and difficult to build and maintain, preventing their diffusion.This paper proposes a new method for rapid application development based on tools developed by the author. Autonomous robots are already being used, for example, as tour guides, receptionists, or office-assistants. The proximity to humans and the possibility to physically interact with them highlights the importance of developing secure robot applications. It is crucial to consider security implications to be an important part of the robot application's development process. Adding security later in the application's life-cycle usually leads to high costs, or is not possible due to earlier design decisions. In this work, we present the Robot Application Security Process (RASP) as a lightweight process that enables the development of secure robot applications. Together with RASP we introduce the role of a Security Engineer (SecEng) as an important stakeholder in any robot application development process. RASP enables the SecEng to verify the completeness of his work and allows him to argue about the application's security with other stakeholders. Furthermore, we demonstrate how the RASP supports the SecEng and also other developers in their daily work.

Computer technology that is increasingly developing has created a situation that demands everything to be computerized. Science from technology has also changed the way of life of most Indonesians. The presence of information and communication technology affects the technology applied in information systems, especially the input and output mechanisms. One of them is at the Clinic which requires computer technology in its operations. The design of this website also uses 3 stages of Rapid Application Development (RAD) system design, the result of which is a website for a medical record information system. In order for clinical activities to run smoothly at the Clinic, an information system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is needed because the software development process model is classified as an incremental technique and emphasizes short, short, and fast development cycles. Medical record system testing will be tested using Blackbox Testing and User Acceptance Test (UAT) testing.

The services in open and dynamic Cloud Computing environments are often decentralized, evolving and are cross-organized. Efficient management of the Cloud resources for the improvement of the quality and efficiency of the service provisions is still being a continuous challenge in Cloud domain. To this end, this paper proposes a self-management approach for the cloud services, with an autonomous and context-aware management of the resources by employing a number of service agents in the Cloud environment. Such service agents are responsible for organizing the service management through their local interactions in the system, and further leading to the expected emergence of the service organization. Based on this approach, we present a cloud-oriented services self-management framework with suitable mechanisms for service aggregations and service provisions. And, two supporting algorithms are designed to implement the proposed services self-organization process and also the service provision process. We conduct various experiments on public data sets, and the experimental results prove the efficiency of our system in improving the quality of the Cloud services and also the practical adaptability of our system to the ever changing Cloud environment.

Recent advances in object technology have given rise to a set of powerful tools that are referred to as application builders. Application builders attempt to raise the level of abstractions in application development process from programming to composition of predefined components. To achieve this, application builders provide a set of components and facilities to compose these components. However, the composition facilities of the current application builders are primitive and the set of predefined components they provide can only be extended by programmers. Application builders that allow developers to build applications using domain specific components, semantics and primitives are needed. This article presents an Object-Centered Application Development System which provides a set of flexible high-level modeling and composition constructs and supports domain specific application development.

Library Information System at SMKN 13 Jakarta will be built to overcome various existing problems, such as the lack of information providers, difficulties in accessing books and magazines and lack of ease in searching bookshelf data. So it is necessary to create a Digital Library information system. This library information system was built using the PHP programming language, Sublime Text, Bootstrap, Java Script, CSS and MySQL database. The development method used is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The presence of this library information system is expected to make it easier for library staff, school principals and library members in managing data about the library, and also for members to make reading and borrowing books easier.
