Automatic Color Extraction Algorithm of Graphic Design Image Based on Artificial Intelligence

Pineapple is one of the potential commodities in Indonesia. This is due to high market demand, potential suitable land in Indonesia and public awareness of fruit supply. The main factor of crop failure in pineapple plants is the delay in handling pineapple plant diseases. To identify in image processing requires class grouping. Self-Organizing Map (SOM) which divides the input pattern into several groups so that the network output is in the form of the group that is most similar to the given input. However, the SOM algorithm requires data input that characterizes an object to facilitate the identification process. So, in this study the SOM algorithm was improved through color feature extraction with parameters Red, Green, Blue, Hue, Saturation and Value, as well as texture feature extraction with parameters contrast, correlation, energy, and homogeneity in the Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM). Based on the results of tests carried out by the SOM algorithm with color and texture feature extraction parameters, it is able to assist in increasing the accuracy value. The results of testing the SOM model with color and texture feature extraction obtained a precision value of 93.33%, recall of 92.31% and accuracy of 92.78%.

There are some problems in automatic keyword extraction of Chinese text, such as large feature extraction error, low precision of extracted keywords, and poor real-time performance. Therefore, an automatic keyword extraction algorithm for Chinese text based on word clustering is designed. Calculate keyword frequency, document frequency and inverse document frequency features through statistical algorithm, measure the degree of interdependence between keywords with the help of point mutual information, and construct keyword feature item quantification matrix with the help of vector space model corresponding to keywords and feature items to complete keyword feature quantification and realize keyword feature extraction of Chinese text. Calculate the average semantic similarity of keyword words, determine the similarity of keyword features, and eliminate the keyword features with high similarity; Set the comprehensive feature value of the importance of single word words in Chinese text, determine the importance of single word words in the text, remove the single word words with low importance, and use Bayesian framework to reduce the dimension of high-dimensional keyword feature data to realize preprocessing research. The mapping results of keyword vector space model are determined by word clustering algorithm, the text clusters of keyword space clustering results are calculated by clustering algorithm, and the keywords are classified by DBN method. On this basis, the automatic keyword extraction model of Chinese text is designed to realize the automatic keyword extraction of Chinese text. The experimental results show that the design algorithm can effectively reduce the feature extraction error and improve the extraction efficiency.

The dominant color features determine the presentation effect and visual experience of landscapes. The existing studies rarely quantify the application effect of landscape colors through image colorization. Besides, it is unreasonable to analyze landscape images with multiple standard colors with a single color space. To solve the problem, this paper proposes an automatic extraction method for color features from landscape images based on image processing. Firstly, a landscape lighting model was constructed based on color constancy theories, and the quality of landscape images was improved with color constant image enhancement technology. In this way, the low-level color features were extracted from the landscape image library. Next, support vector machine (SVM) and fuzzy c-means (FCM) were innovatively integrated to extract high-level color features from landscape images. The proposed method was proved effective through experiments.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image target detection and recognition (SAR-TDR) tasks have become research hot spots in the remote sensing application. These targets include ships, vehicles, aircraft, oil tanks, bridges, and so on. However, with the rapid development of SAR technology and increasingly complex electromagnetic environment, complex characteristics of SAR images bring severe challenges to the accurate SAR-TDR via traditional physical models or manual feature-extraction-based machine learning methods. In recent years, deep learning (DL), as a powerful automatic feature extraction algorithm, has been widely used in the computer vision domain. More specifically, DL has also been introduced into the SAR-TDR tasks and has effectively achieved good performance in terms of accuracy, real-time processing, etc. With the rapid development of DL, SAR image processing, and practical requirements of SAR-TDR in civilian and military domains, it is crucial to conduct a systematic survey on SAR-TDR in the past few years. In this survey article, we mainly conduct a systematic overview of DL-based SAR-TDR literature on two tasks, i.e., target recognition (e.g., ground vehicles, ships, and aircraft) and target detection (e.g., ships, aircraft, change detection, sea surface oil spills, and oil tanks). More specifically, our related works about these topics are also presented to verify the effectiveness of DL-based methods. First, several DL methods (e.g., convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks, autoencoders, and generative adversarial networks), commonly used in SAR-TDR, are briefly introduced. Then, a systematic review of DL-based SAR-TDR (including our related works) is presented. Finally, the current challenges and future possible research directions are deeply analyzed and discussed.

The detection of Martian polar ice cap change patterns is important for understanding their effects on driving Mars’s global water cycle and for regulating atmospheric circulation. However, current Martian ice cap identification using optical remote sensing data mainly relies on visual interpretation, which makes it difficult to quickly extract ice caps from multiple images and analyze their fine-scale spatiotemporal variation characteristics. Therefore, this study proposes an automatic Martian polar ice cap extraction algorithm for remote sensing data and analyzes the dynamic change characteristics of the Martian North Pole ice cap using time-series data. First, the automatic Martian ice cap segmentation algorithm was developed based on the ice cap features of high reflectance in the blue band and low saturation in the RGB band. Second, the Martian North Pole ice cap was extracted for the three Martian years MY25, 26, and 28 using Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) Mars Daily Global Maps (MDGMs) data, which had better spatiotemporal continuity to analyze its variation characteristics. Lastly, the spatiotemporal variation characteristics of the ice cap and the driving factors of ice cap ablation were explored for the three aforementioned Martian years. The results indicated that the proposed automatic ice cap extraction algorithm had good performance, and the classification accuracy exceeded 93%. The ice cap ablation boundary retreat rates and spatiotemporal distributions were similar for the three years, with approximately 105 km2 of ice cap ablation for every one degree of areocentric longitude of the Sun (Ls). The main driving factor of ice cap ablation was solar radiation, which was mainly related to Ls. In addition, elevation had a different effect on ice cap ablation at different Ls in the same latitude area near the ablation boundary of the ice cap.

The effects of climate change are causing an increase in the frequency and extent of natural disasters. Because of their morphological characteristics, rivers can cause major flooding events. Indeed, they can be subjected to variations in discharge in response to heavy rainfall and riverbank failures. Among the emerging methodologies that address the monitoring of river flooding, those that include the combination of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and photogrammetric techniques (i.e., Structure from Motion-SfM) ensure the high-frequency acquisition of high-resolution spatial data over wide areas and so the generation of orthomosaics, useful for automatic feature extraction. Trainable Weka Segmentation (TWS) is an automatic feature extraction open-source tool. It was developed to primarily fulfill supervised classification purposes of biological microscope images, but its usefulness has been demonstrated in several image pipelines. At the same time, there is a significant lack of published studies on the applicability of TWS with the identification of a universal and efficient combination of machine learning classifiers and segmentation approach, in particular with respect to classifying UAV images of riverine environments. In this perspective, we present a study comparing the accuracy of nine combinations, classifier plus image segmentation filter, using TWS, also with respect to human photo-interpretation, in order to identify an effective supervised approach for automatic river features extraction from UAV multi-temporal orthomosaics. The results, which are very close to human interpretation, indicate that the proposed approach could prove to be a valuable tool to support and improve the hydro-geomorphological and flooding hazard assessments in riverine environments.

The crime of forgery of rupiah currency can be anticipated by examining the rupiah banknotes based on traits or features contained on the original paper money. Features that are not owned by the rupiah banknote counterfeit is an ultraviolet sign that are owned by the original paper money. Rupiah banknotes feature extraction consists of a combination of color and texture feature extraction. The proposed method is the HSV color histogram for color feature extraction and Segmented Fractal Texture Analysis (SFTA) for texture feature extraction. The combination of HSV and SFTA is expected to improve the performance of rupiah banknotes feature extraction. Moreover this paper will analyze feature redundancy in Two Threshold Decomposition Algorithm in SFTA Algorithm. Experimental results show the proposed method can reach 100% accuracy. Experiment results also show that redundant features can be removed without affecting the accuracy of of the system so that it can reduce the computational cost.

Application of mother wavelet functions for automatic gear and bearing fault diagnosis

Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) plays a significant role in identifying the similarity of images with large datasets. It is identified based on the size, colour, and texture features of the image. But in such conditions, it is complex to determine the features of query images in large datasets and does not show accurate similarity when compared with every image in the retrieval process. In order to perform an efficient similarity of images, a novel Machine Learning (ML) approach Kernelized Radial Basis Auto-Encoder Function Neural Network (Ker_RadBAEFNN) technique is proposed that performs the individual image classification in the retrieval process. Moreover, the neural networks are optimised based on the reinforcement process and perform the extraction process regarding individual images. Further,reinforcement-based optimisation estimates the images in neural networks for undertaking an automatic feature extraction of query images. The performance of the classification process is validated based on MNIST, METU, and COCO datasets that determined the efficiency of the recognition and classification process of image retrieval. The experimental analysis is carried out based on various measures such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, RMSE, and MAPE for the proposed and existing GLCM-ABC, PSO-ANN, IRB-CNN, FAGWO, and OCAM methods. The analysis shows that the performance of the proposed attained better effectiveness with attained accuracy by 98% and diminished for state-of-the-art techniques as 92%, 95%, 94%, 96.8%, as well as 96%, respectively. Compared to existing methods, the accuracy rate of the proposed method is maximised by 1.3%.

Web image retrieval technology is a hot research topic nowadays, many research institutions at home and abroad are engaged in the research of this topic, and has obtained certain research results. In this paper, at home and abroad about the Web image retrieval technology, on the basis of similarity matching algorithm for image retrieval technique and image analysis and verification. In the Web image retrieval, the color as an important visual features of image has been widely used. In this paper, the use of color features for image retrieval of three key problems: the representation of color, color features extraction and based on color similarity measure are discussed.

In content based image retrieval (CBIR) process, every image has been represented in a compact set of local visual features i.e. color, texture, and/or shape of images. This set of local visual features is known as feature vector. In the CBIR process, feature vectors of images have been used to represent or to identify similar images in adequate way. As a result, feature vector construction has always been considered as an important issue since it must reflect proper image semantics using minimal amount of data. The proposed CBIR scheme is based on the combination of color and texture features. In this work initially, we have converted the given RGB image into HSV color image. Subsequently, we have considered H (hue), S (saturation), and V (intensity) components for extraction of visual image features. The texture features have been extracted from the V component of the image using 2D dual-tree complex wavelet transform (2D DT-CWT) where it analyzes the textural patterns in six different directions i.e. ±15\(^{\circ }\), ±45\(^{\circ }\), and ±75\(^{\circ }\). At the same time, we have computed the probability histograms of H and S components of the image respectively and subsequently those are divided into non-uniform bins based on cumulative probability for extraction of color based features. So, in this work both the color and texture features have been extracted simultaneously. Finally, the obtained features have been concatenated to attain the final feature vector and same is considered in image retrieval process. We have tested the novelty and performance of the proposed work in two Corel, two objects, and, a texture image datasets. The experimental results reveal the acceptable retrieval performances for different types of datasets.

ContextThe interpretations of cardiotocography (CTG) tracings are indeed vital to monitor fetal well-being both during pregnancy and childbirth. Currently, many studies are focusing on feature extraction and CTG classification using computer vision approach in determining the most accurate diagnosis as well as monitoring the fetal well-being during pregnancy. Additionally, a fetal monitoring system would be able to perform detection and precise quantification of fetal heart rate patterns.ObjectiveThis study aimed to perform a systematic review to describe the achievements made by the researchers, summarizing findings that have been found by previous researchers in feature extraction and CTG classification, to determine criteria and evaluation methods to the taxonomies of the proposed literature in the CTG field and to distinguish aspects from relevant research in the field of CTG.MethodsArticle search was done systematically using three databases: IEEE Xplore digital library, Science Direct, and Web of Science over a period of 5 years. The literature in the medical sciences and engineering was included in the search selection to provide a broader understanding for researchers.ResultsAfter screening 372 articles, and based on our protocol of exclusion and inclusion criteria, for the final set of articles, 50 articles were obtained. The research literature taxonomy was divided into four stages. The first stage discussed the proposed method which presented steps and algorithms in the pre-processing stage, feature extraction and classification as well as their use in CTG (20/50 papers). The second stage included the development of a system specifically on automatic feature extraction and CTG classification (7/50 papers). The third stage consisted of reviews and survey articles on automatic feature extraction and CTG classification (3/50 papers). The last stage discussed evaluation and comparative studies to determine the best method for extracting and classifying features with comparisons based on a set of criteria (20/50 articles).DiscussionThis study focused more on literature compared to techniques or methods. Also, this study conducts research and identification of various types of datasets used in surveys from publicly available, private, and commercial datasets. To analyze the results, researchers evaluated independent datasets using different techniques.ConclusionsThis systematic review contributes to understand and have insight into the relevant research in the field of CTG by surveying and classifying pertinent research efforts. This review will help to address the current research opportunities, problems and challenges, motivations, recommendations related to feature extraction and CTG classification, as well as the measurement of various performance and various data sets used by other researchers.

Color is an important and the vital visual feature for image recognition. The use of image color is one of the most interesting issues in creation efficient content-based image retrieval. Color feature cannot be defined exactly as defining the likeness among color feature is difficult []. Therefore, two steps are needed in color-based image recovery, i.e., image color feature extraction and similarity computation among the extracted features. Some of the applications of image retrieval using color are described in this chapter.

Cognitive NLP systems—i.e., NLP systems that make use of behavioral data—augment traditional text-based features with cognitive features extracted from eye-movement patterns, EEG signals, brain imaging, etc. Such extraction of features has been typically manual, as we have seen in the previous chapter. We now contend that manual extraction of features is not good enough to tackle text subtleties that characteristically prevail in complex classification tasks like sentiment analysis and sarcasm detection, and that even the extraction and choice of features should be delegated to the learning system. We introduce a framework to automatically extract cognitive features from the eye-movement data of human readers reading the text and use them as features along with textual features for the tasks of sentiment polarity and sarcasm detection. Our proposed framework is based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The CNN learns features from both gaze and text and uses them to classify the input text. We test our technique on published sentiment and sarcasm labeled datasets, enriched with gaze information, to show that using a combination of automatically learned text and gaze features yields better classification performance over (i) CNN-based systems that rely on text input alone and (ii) existing systems that rely on handcrafted gaze and textual features.

An inverse filter formulation is applied to the problem of formant extraction from continuous voiced speech. Although the basic analysis equations can be derived from a multitude of different formulations, the inverse filter is believed most appropriate because of the insight it lends to the problem as a frequency domain formulation. Starting from the basis analysis equations, a new algorithm is described for automatically extracting a set of raw data from which the first three formant trajectories can generally be defined by inspection. The raw data set is obtained by simple peak-picking of the reciprocal of the resulting inverse filter spectrum for each analysis frame. Although an automatic formant extraction algorithm is not considered here, for over 90% of the raw data, automatic extraction is trivial, namely F1(k) − F3(k) for frame k equal the first three raw data samples in increasing order of frequency. Examples illustrate the fact that the inverse filter algorithm is capable of correctly extracting closely spaced formant structure and fast transitions. Each analysis frame requires computation roughly equivalent to a single 256-point complex radix-2 FFT algorithm. The complete analysis procedure has been implemented on a small PDP-8 computer with 4 K of core. A more detailed discussion along with computer programs will be presented [SCRL monograph No. 7 (to be published)].
