Cloud Supported Secure e-Card College Management System

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the current situation of digital management in universities in Guangxi, 2) to develop the purpose model for improving digital management in universities in Guangxi, 3) to evaluate the suitability and feasibility of the purpose model for improving digital management in universities in Guangxi. The sample group of this research was 148 administrators in 20 public undergraduate universities in Guangxi. They were selected by systematic random sampling and sample random sampling. The interview group was led by administrators from 12 universities, totaling 12 people. The experts for evaluating the suitability and feasibility of the purpose model for improving digital management consisted of high-level administrators from 7 universities, totaling 7 people. The research instruments were document analysis, questionnaire, structured interview, and evaluation form. The statistics to analyze the data were percentage, average value, and standard deviation. The results found that the current situation of digital management in universities in Guangxi in five aspects was at a high level. Considering the results of this research aspects ranged from the highest to lowest level were as follows: the highest level was the digital campus security management system, followed by the digital student management system, and the digital scientific research management system was the lowest level. The purpose model for improving digital management in universities in Guangxi has five aspects, which contain 40 measures. There are 7 measures to enhance the digital management ability of Guangxi University managers, 10 measures to promote the digital teaching management system in Universities in Guangxi, 8 measures to promote the digital scientific research management system in Universities in Guangxi, 9 measures to promote the digital student management system in Universities in Guangxi, 6 measures to promote the digital campus security management system in Universities in Guangxi. The results of the evaluation of the suitability and feasibility of the purpose model for improving digital management in universities in Guangxi were at the highest level.

Abstract: Digital transformation means the adaptation of the power of new technology to create a better experience for users. As part in the digital world our project aims to create a payment system for students inside the college. So, we have developed a payment system that enables students to pay with their ID cards inside the campus like stationary, canteens, food courts and hostellers can pay their mess bill. Our project utilizes RFID technology and Raspberry Pi to create a seamless payment experience for students using their NFC-enabled student ID cards. Students and cashier can also track their transaction in mobile application that are developed. Also, Students can easily recharge their ID cards using the mobile application. This system provides a user-friendly, efficient, and secure payment option that reduces the need for physical exchange of cash or sensitive payment information while using third party apps.

Universities are complex and diverse organizations deal with higher education in a country. Therefore, University Management System (UMS) is a very crucial component of the university. The UMS provides a digital management of a University’s functions including academics, faculty, students, administration, hostel, finance, inventory and many more. Traditionally, a UMS control the user access to its features using a Role-Base Access Model (RBAC), i.e., a user is assigned a predefined role to access UMS features. The role groups a set of permissions which allows user to access the UMS accordingly. This allows the UMS admin to uniformly manage user and permissions in UMS. However, RBAC model is static and does not allow flexibility in access to UMS on user attributes such as time, status, device or location. Therefore, this paper proposes a hybrid access model by combining RBAC with Attribute-Based Access Control under the principles of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). This work is attempt to incorporate Zero Trust Architecture in UMS environment because ZTA traditionally is adopted in IoT-based organizations or in the organizations with huge computer network and infrastructure. Therefore, this is a novel study to provide a structured foundation to implement ZTA in higher education enterprise systems.

The Student ID Card Generator System is a computerized solution designed to automate the process of creating and managing identification cards for students and employees in educational institutions and enterprises. Overall, this project ensures a fast, secure, and error-free ID card management system that improves institutional record-keeping, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. Moreover, the Student ID Card Generator System is scalable and flexible, allowing it to function at institutions of various sizes. Designed to allow for ease of use and interaction, the system can be used by administrators and students without the need for extensive training. The Student ID Card Generator System allows institutions to store all information securely in a centralized database, where all records are easily retrievable and modifiable while eliminating the chance of data loss. Whereas administrators would previously perform a lot of administrative tasks manually, by automating these activities, the Student ID Card Generator System demonstrates operational improvements in efficiency, and reliability, strengthens security compliance, and helps lessen the number of human errors. Attendance is a routine before carrying out activities such as education at schools and campuses. This is a list of attendance records present when starting the activity until the activity ends. At this time the attendance system used is still manual by hand. In this case the attendance system will be created automatically using an RFID tag as an identification card and an RFID reader as a card reader. This tool works by using two series contained in the AT89S52 microcontroller as an RFID Starter Kit controller. Communication uses serial communication or RS 232. Communication with the microcontroller used in the RFID Starter Kit is serial while RS 232 is used in the microcontroller module. In addition to the addition of hardware, this tool is supported by design software including Visual Basic 6 and SQL. Visual Basic is used for programming student data processing and SQL is used for student databases. The advantage of this tool is that it is relatively inexpensive and does not require a computer. So there are only tools present in each class to replace the PC and on the server side there is a PC as the center

This paper theoretically analyzes the related key technologies, and proposes the development mode and technology of the system, including B/S architecture and .NET technology. The overall design of scientific research information management system is carried out, and the design method of routing link path module is given. According to the results of the system analysis, the corresponding architecture design, function design and system underlying database design are carried out. The Malaysian government has issued multipurpose smart identity cards for citizens in two regions of the country. The MyKad card stores basic identifying information, thumbprints and a digital photo. It serves as a drivers license (DL), passport, health card, automated teller machine card, stored value transportation card and electronic payment system card. This paper uses two research frameworks based on a technology awareness model to examine the factors affecting user acceptance of MyKad as a national identity card (NIC) and as a DL. Findings show that Malaysian have strong acceptance of MyKad as a NIC and a DL. However, they are concerned about issues related to privacy, civil liberties, fines, the cost of upgrading and durability when adopting the NIC application. Issues related to ease of reading, ease of updating, recognition, and availability of card readers are concerns when adopting the DL application. Results also show that Malaysians are not convinced of the benefits of MyKad such as added security, prevention of identity card misuse and forgery, convenience of carrying fewer cards, increase in accuracy of summons information and increase in efficiency of enforcement officers. The current lack of understanding and conviction using MyKad applications may be due to the lack of promotional materials educating users on the benefits of the card. Limitations of the study and directions for future research are discussed.

The OCR technology is becoming more and more mature. Its application in the document recognition greatly improves the efficiency of the digitization of various kinds of the document information. In the field of the mobile APP applications, more and more developers are developing the applications. The mobile APP applications bring more convenience to users. However, in many practical applications, besides completing the information registration, the APPs or the WEB system also need the data collection and verification to verify the authenticity and validity of the data information. Based on the existing OCR identification technology, combined with the face recognition and other technologies, this paper compares the face photo information data on the identity card with the living face photos, and provides the customers with the identity authentication mechanism services based on the mobile APP.

This paper designs and implements an Internet of Things (IoT) student arrival management system based on smart campus, and uses big data technology to solve the problems of information lag and inaccuracy in traditional management mode. The system uses IoT technologies such as RFID and NFC to realize real-time monitoring and recording of students' arrival at school. By deploying sensor equipment and developing user interface, the system collects, processes and analyzes students' arrival information in real time, and provides convenient services for teachers, students and parents. This paper introduces the design and implementation process of the system in detail, including key technical points, system architecture, functional modules, implementation and testing. The practical application shows that the system significantly improves the efficiency of campus management and promotes the communication and cooperation between home and school. The challenges encountered in the implementation of the system are analyzed, and the corresponding countermeasures are put forward. This study highlights the unique advantages and broad application prospects of student arrival IoT management system integrating big data under the background of smart campus.

The task is created for utilizing RFID system with ID card to take presence of the student. Nowadays, staffs use the paper to get the attendance with the student presence. There were many problems to get student attendance when using the paper such as impostor. For this, by using RFID, lecturer can easily solve the problem by designing an regular attendance management system using RFID and ID card. From this code is run to compare with the datasheet in Access with ID card. At First, lecturer needs to fill the attendance sheet with relevant staff name, student name, roll no, class etc. This procedure is important by getting the information to use with the next step. In the next process, staffs need to check to make connection with RFID reader. The attendance procedure gets when RFID reader gets ready by swapping the card on RFID pursuer, a code gets generated from the ID card in contrasted and the database gets generated. At this point the code generated with the database with particular student name, and ID number wants to appear on the interface and that data will trigger into a rundown. In this, all information like student name and ID number will connect with the instructor name, student name, roll no and subject. On the off chance that the code isn't coordinated with database, it will leads to the person is in wrong class, the teacher will enroll data by utilizing the enlisting data and it will be refresh into database.

The use of substandard and counterfeit medicines (SCM) leads to significant health and economic consequences, like treatment failure, rise of antimicrobial resistance, extra expenditures of individuals or households and serious adverse drug reactions including death. Our objective was to systematically search, identify and compare relevant available mobile applications (apps) for smartphones and tablets, which use could potentially affect clinical and public health outcomes. We carried out a systematic review of the literature in January 2020, including major medical databases, and app stores. We used the validated Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS) to assess the quality of apps, (1 worst score, 3 acceptable score, and 5 best score). We planned to evaluate the accuracy of the mobile apps to detect SCM. We retrieved 335 references through medical databases and 42 from Apple, Google stores and Google Scholar. We finally included two studies of the medical database, 25 apps (eight from the App Store, eight from Google Play, eight from both stores, and one from Google Scholar), and 16 websites. We only found one report on the accuracy of a mobile apps detecting SCMs. Most apps use the imprint, color or shape for pill identification, and only a few offer pill detection through photographs or bar code. The MARS mean score for the apps was 3.17 (acceptable), with a maximum of 4.9 and a minimum of 1.1. The ‘functionality’ dimension resulted in the highest mean score (3.4), while the ‘engagement’ and ‘information’ dimensions showed the lowest one (3.0). In conclusion, we found a remarkable evidence gap about the accuracy of mobile apps in detecting SCMs. However, mobile apps could potentially be useful to screen for SCM by assessing the physical characteristics of pills, although this should still be assessed in properly designed research studies.

The present paper summarizes the development of the national electronic Identity Management System (eIDMS) in Estonia according to a conceptual framework developed in an European comparative research project outlined in the first chapter of this special issue. Its main function is to amend the picture of the European eIDMS landscape by presenting a case with high involvement of the private sector and thereby checking the generalizations from the comparisons of Austria, Belgium, Germany and Spain, presented by Kubicek and Noack in the previous chapter of this special issue. Starting with a short introduction into the historical background of identity documents in Estonia the national population register, the passport as well as the bank ID are described as the main pillars of the Estonian eIDMS, on which the national ID card builds on, which has been introduced in 2002. The technical features of the eID and the ID card are described in Section two as well as the areas of application and the processes for production and distribution. Section three presents the actors constellation, Section four the time line of the development process, starting from 1997. Section five deals with the diffusion and promotion of the ID card and the eID authentication function. After a very low and slow take up during the first 5 years due to a cooperation agreement between major banks, telecom operators and the government usage has increased. But still the authentication by Internet banks, which provides authentication services to third parties, including government, is the biggest competitor for the eID function on the national eID card. Only recently the major banks have announced to slowly fade out the password cards and PIN calculators as alternative modes of bank authentication.
