Decision Model Support in Determining Outstanding Lecturer using Analytical Method Network Process

The transportation of toxic and explosive goods is related to the safety of people's lives and property. The dangerous goods transport vehicle is a special vehicle for the transportation of toxic and explosive goods. Its performance evaluation is a complex system composed of a variety of evaluation indicators. This paper based on ANP (analytic network process) feedback structure assessment framework to solve the independence between evaluation index and interdependent relationship, and combine the characteristics of the dangerous goods transport vehicle, established a perfect performance evaluation index system. With three kinds of the dangerous goods transport vehicle design as an example, the Super Decisions software was used to build the ANP model, by calculating the limit super matrix, the idealized priorities value of alternatives to verify the feasibility of ANP method is applied to the dangerous goods transport vehicle performance evaluation.

در کشورهای درحال‌توسعه، سطوح توسعه به دلیل رشد سریع و نامتقارن و عدم توسعه متناسب مناطق و اختصاص غیراصولی منابع و امکانات به مناطق برخوردار و محرومیت سایر مناطق بخصوص مناطق روستایی دستخوش نابرابری‌های چشمگیر در سطح منطقه‌ای گردیده که در موارد بسیاری نیز در حال افزایش است و سبب عدم توسعه آن‌ها در تمام ابعاد شده است. در پژوهش توصیفی- تحلیلی حاضر، برای ارزیابی شهرستان‌های استان لرستان (در بازه زمانی سال 1390) به لحاظ شاخص‌های توسعه‌مندی زیرساخت‌های انرژی و ارتباطات، از مدل پرومته 2 که به رتبهبندی گسسته گزینهها تأکید دارد، استفاده شده است. شاخص‌های مستخرج از منابع رسمی منتشر شده (نظیر فرهنگ آبادی‌های استان لرستان) به صورت نسبت تنظیم شدهاند و برای وزندهی به آن‌ها از روش تحلیل شبکهای استفاده گردیده است. در رویکرد پژوهش و با استفاده از ابزار VP ، ارزیابی و دید یکپارچه نسبت به شاخص‌های توسعه و شهرستان‌های استان (به‌مثابه گزینهها)، مطابق با تحلیلهای GAIA و GAIAWEB عملی می‌شود. لذا از نرم‌افزارهایVisual PROMETHEE و Super Decisions برای تحلیل دادهها استفاده شده است. مطابق با نتایج کلی دست آمده از مقایسه نسبی شهرستان‌ها، تنها 4 شهرستان دارای ارزش خالص مثبت بوده‌اند که در این میان، شهرستان بروجرد با جریان خالص 0.089 ، بالاترین میزان برخورداری از امکانات زیرساختی را در نواحی روستایی خود دارد.

The amount of land for the current location of housing development has resulted in developers choosing the location of housing development regardless of the condition of the land, infrastructure, socio-economic. To overcome this problem a computer system is needed in the form of a GDSS that can assist in the selection of Housing Development Locations.This study aims to implement a GDSS with ANP and Borda methods to determine the selection of the right and fast housing development location. GDSS is needed because there are 3 Individual Decision Makers, DM-1 assessing based on Land Conditions, DM-2 assessing Infrastructure-based, DM-3 assess the Socio-Economic and Decision Maker based groups to make the final decision. The ANP method is used to weight the criteria from each alternative location, to the alternative ranking of housing construction locations for each individual Decision Maker. The Borda method is used to combine the results of ranking carried out by the Group Decision Maker so that it gets the final ranking as a determinant of the Location of Housing Development.The final result of this research is a decision support system that can help developers to get a priority recommendation according to the needs of the developer.

Analytic network process in economics, finance and management: Contingency factors, current trends and further research

This study aims to analyze problems and formulate and strategize in the development of halal tourism destinations rooted in local wisdom in Jambi Seberang City. The research method used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The specific methodology applied is the Analytic Network Process (ANP), which is implemented through Super Decision software. ANP was chosen for its ability to set priorities in the context of decision making. The results obtained from this study show that the main issue faced is related to government participation. The priority strategies identified include the formation of synergies between various interested parties, increasing government commitment in supporting the development of halal tourism, developing a structured halal tourism development concept, and improving the quality of human resources. Through this research, it is expected to be a source and basis for planning the development of halal tourism in Jamb, especially in Jambi Kota Seberang.

This paper presents an ANP technique applied to identify and prioritize Six Sigma projects for healthcare providers whose results allow selecting the project that ensures the maximum financial benefits for the healthcare company. First, the Six Sigma evaluation model is determined, then the criteria weights are established by ANP (Analytic Network Process) and finally, results from ANP and ANP- DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) are compared. The results show a better decision making performance for ANP-DEMATEL. Location of military port problem is a complex system engineering with the characteristics of general engineering site selection, but also a combination of military elements. To consider the correlation between evaluation indicators existing in the location of military port, as well as the strong subjectivity in the evaluation process, this study uses Analytic Network Process(ANP) to establish the evaluation model, then adopts expert group decision-making method and Bayesian fusion theory to optimize the system construction of ANP. Combined with case analysis and calculated by SUPER-DECISION software, the model is proved to be feasible.

Decision making concept can be defined as selection process choosing one of the options, if the outcomes are not certain. In practice it is not sufficient to evaluate the options according to the simplest form of decision making only based on a criterion. In such cases, we must consider all the variety of different information to decide to best option. It arise the requirement of multi-criteria decision making methods.AHP (Analytical Hierarch Process) is a technique that models the relations which are different stage. On the other hand that technique is insufficient to evaluate interdependency relations. The ANP (Analytic Network Process) has the ability to add all the criteria related with the issue. The method of the ANP can be described as follows. The Srst phase of the ANP is to compare the criteria in whole system to form the supermatrix. This is done through pairwise comparisons by asking experts. The Srst step of the ANP is to compare the importance between each criterion. The next step is to calculate the influence of the elements (criteria) in each component (matrix) using the eigenvalue method.In this research, financial performans ranking of Turkish Insurance companies, which large-scaled business in non-life branches, are obtained for the period 2006-2010 using financial ratios of companies and applying the ANP model which was developed with the superdecision software

The analysis and evaluation of construction investment options in Vietnam is still qualitative and subjective, so investment decisions are not truly rational. This study proposes the Analytical Network Process (ANP) method applied to build evaluation models and then selecting criteria to quantify and digitize with specialized software, to analyze and make appropriate decisions. This research was conducted through a survey of 74 construction experts and engineers undertaking different roles in the project (state management agencies, investors, consultants, contractors, etc.). As a result, 29 variables (divided into 06 groups of factors), were established and analysed using Superdecision software. The study shows that option 01 (intersection renovation and expansion) has the highest score; and was proposed to invest and implement in practice.

Analytic Network Process and Fuzzy Analytic Network Process

According to the interrelation among indices of human resources management level evaluation system, and it’s difficulty to define object precisely. In this article, we combined the method of network analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, then implemented comprehensive evaluation towards the power supply enterprise human resources management. Firstly, the ANP method is used to determine the weight of every index, overcome the defects that hierarchical analysis cannot reflect the interrelation between indicators, and then construct the fuzzy comprehensive assessment model based on analytic network process that used to evaluate the uncertainty of human resources management ability. Finally, using the Super Decisions software to implement example analysis verifies the effectiveness and scientificalness of the evaluation model.

In this study, we utilize analytic network process (ANP), a more general form of AHP, for justifying stand-alone machine tools out of available alternatives in market due to the fact that AHP cannot accommodate the variety of interactions, dependencies and feedback between higher and lower level elements. However, due to the vagueness and uncertainty on judgments of a decision-maker, the crisp pair wise comparison in the conventional ANP seems to be insufficient and imprecise to capture the right judgments of the decision-maker. That is why, also in this paper, fuzzy number logic is introduced in the pair wise comparison of ANP to make up for this deficiency in the ANP. In short, here, an intelligent approach to machine tool selection (MTS) problem through fuzzy ANP is proposed to improve the imprecise ranking of company's requirements which is based on the conventional ANP. In order to reach to final solution, a preference ratio (PR) analysis is done by using the results of the fuzzy ANP, and investment costs of alternatives. In addition, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the proposed approach.

An analytic network process approach to operationalization of five forces model

The rapid development of technology to meet the growing demands of projects, particularly in public administration organizations like e-government, faces various resource constraints. Selecting among dozens or even hundreds of alternative projects and portfolios, while aligning with organizational priorities, presents a complex multi-criteria decision-making challenge. This study explores the use of previous research and IS/IT portfolio management techniques to examine project prioritization practices and methods within successful city-level applications. The study further develops a prioritization model by comparing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) methods. The priority levels of nodes (elements) and clusters obtained from the AHP and ANP analyses show relatively insignificant differences; however, the normalized values (eigenvectors) derived from the ANP approach more realistically reflect existing realities. The ANP model offers the advantage of building connections between elements and clusters, enabling feedback analysis, and is considered more effective in bridging the gap between the model and real-world decision-making.

The Analytic Network Process (ANP) is a multicriteria theory of measurement used to derive relative priority scales of absolute numbers from individual judgments (or from actual measurements normalized to a relative form) that also belong to a fundamental scale of absolute numbers. These judgments represent the relative influence, of one of two elements over the other in a pairwise comparison process on a third element in the system, with respect to an underlying control criterion. Through its supermatrix, whose entries are themselves matrices of column priorities, the ANP synthesizes the outcome of dependence and feedback within and between clusters of elements. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with its independence assumptions on upper levels from lower levels and the independence of the elements in a level is a special case of the ANP. The ANP is an essential tool for articulating our understanding of a decision problem. One had to overcome the limitation of linear hierarchic structures and their mathematical consequences. This part on the ANP summarizes and illustrates the basic concepts of the ANP and shows how informed intuitive judgments can lead to real life answers that are matched by actual measurements in the real world (for example, relative dollar values) as illustrated in market share examples that rely on judgments and not on numerical data.
