Evaluation of student academic performance using e-learning with the association rules method and the importance of performance analysis


 
 
 Based on the number of tourist visits to Karang Sewu Beach that is fluctuating or up and down therefore researchers want to analyze the perception of tourists to the quality of service in Karang Sewu Beach because tourist satisfaction is a benchmark in the success of tourist attraction.
 The method used in this study is quantitatively descriptive. by using the technique of analysis namely importance performance analysis. data collection techniques used are observations, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. and scale measurement techniques using the likert scale. sampling techniques used are sampling quotas as well as to measure the size of samples using the 1993, Maholtra formula with the number of samples obtained is as many as 85 respondents.
 Based importance performance analysis method is a higher level of importance than the performance level with the average interest level is 4.55 and the performance level is 2.84. Therefore, there needs to be an improvement in performance such as: cleanliness of environmental conditions at Karang Sewu Beach, good service during first impression to tourists, explanation of all the information needed by tourists is very clear and detailed, the availability of facilities in Karang Sewu Beach such as seating, stalls, supporting facilities such as toilets, trash cans, parking lots, employees very appreciative and putting tourists first in Karang Sewu Beach. Advice or recommendation in this study is for the management of Karang Sewu Beach to improve performance based on the quality of service with attributes that are considered lacking in the eyes of tourists and maintain indicators that are superior in the eyes of tourists.

Accelerating the introduction of a new technological package is needed to increase the productivity of high elevation puddled rice in Humbang Hasundutan. The objectives of the study are to find out the perception of the existence of technological packages and farmers' preference for a new technological package. The study used a survey method with primary data gathered using questionnaires. The criteria of locations and respondents were used to obtain relevant respondents and data concerning their knowledge of high elevation puddled rice cultivation. The collected data were processed by using Importance Performance Analysis in order to find out the level of Importance and Satisfaction of the indicators and the valued aspects in the technological package components. The results of the study showed that the socio-economic aspects had to be heeded in organizing the technological package. Indicators having a high level of importance and a low level of satisfaction consisted of production cost, quality of seeds, farmer groups empowerment, technology information institution, capital cost, agricultural tools and machines, pest control, sales price, irrigation canals, and farm roads. On the other hand, introducing new superior seeds, productivity attribute and planting age were important indicators for local farmers as to improve the quality of existing seeds. Farmers group expected that the technological package had a high level of productivity, better access to input, low cost, and good user-friendliness in its application.

This correlational study sought to find the relationship among women's health status and the level of importance & performance of postpartal care. One hundred thirty three women who live in Seoul and rural area including hospitalized in a general hospital and midwifery clinic were studied from 1st April, 1998 to 25th April, 1998 for 25 days. Data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, Pearson Correlation Coefficiency, t-test, ANOVA and Sheffe test as a post hoc, using SPSS. The results of analysis were as follows ; mean age of respondents was 31.9 years and mean number of children was 1.8. The most of family type was nuclear family and lived int apartment. Mean frequency of pregnancy was 2.7 times and most women delivered at local clinic, general or University hospital. Mean period of after delivery was 53.7 month. The level of importance and performance of traditional postpartal care (Sanhujori) was more higher than hospital postpartal care. The level of importance, performance of postpartum care and health status had significant relationship. The higher level of importance was, & the higher level of performance was higher, and the higher degree of health status. The factors related to health status were postabortal sahujori period after abortion, nuclear family, the evaluation of sahujori, whether women and followed the caregiver's advice well or not and whether they have physical symptoms or not, at the level of 5~0.1% of significance statistically. The factors related to the level of importance of postpartal care were the number of child, present health status and health status of pre-post of delivery, deliver place and the opinion of effective postpartum care method at the level of 5~0.1% of significance statistically. The factors related to the level of performance of postpartal care were delivery place, the opinion of whether they can do at the hospital or not and whether they have physical symptom or not at the level of 1~0.1% of significance statistically. In conclusion, this finding reconfirmed the relationship among women's health status and the postpartal care. It provides a challenge to the health professional caregivers to research continually and repeatedly and confirm the conceptual model of Sanhujori, reestablish effective and integrative postpartal caring system which contains oriental and western paradigm for women's life long health toward the 21C.

The study reported herein was designed to examine the perceptions of souvenirs among domestic Chinese tourists and their attitudes and patterns of behavior when they go souvenir shopping. It was found that the five major criteria for the decision to purchase a particular type of souvenir among Chinese tourists include the souvenir's cultural expression, appropriateness as a gift, overall quality, workmanship, and its appropriateness as a representation/symbol of the attraction. Overall, the respondents were dissatisfied with their shopping experience at two of the most popular attractions in China. Significant differences in the level of satisfaction were observed in relation to the respondents' sex, age, income, and travel party type. Five factors of souvenir shopping attitudes were identified: collectability, display characteristics, store attributes, value, and functionality. These factors and shopping expenditure were examined in relation to the respondents' sex, age, income, educational level, travel frequency, and travel party type. The importance‐performance analysis (IPA) model was adopted to assess the perception of major souvenir attributes among the respondents. The results of the IPA illustrated that 4 out of 10 attributes were perceived to have a higher level of performance when compared with other attributes, and workmanship of the souvenir was considered to be an attribute that requires considerable improvement. 本文通过对一手数据的统计和分析，对中国国内旅游者购买旅游纪念品的态度和行为，及其对纪念品的感知进行了研究。研究结果表明，中国国内旅游者在选购旅游纪念品时最看重的是纪念品的文化内涵，是否适合送礼，是否体现景区特色，以及纪念品的质量和工艺。总体上看，受访者对其在中国最著名的两个景点的购物经验不甚满意，而受访者的性别、年龄、收入及出游团队类型对其满意度有显著影响。本文运用因子分析法发现，受访者对于旅游纪念品的五项潜在的态度因素:：是否适合收藏，纪念品陈列特征，购物地点特征，纪念品价值，以及纪念品功能性。方差分析结果表明这些态度因素以及购物花费与受访者的性别、年龄、收入、教育程度、出游频率及出游团队类型有一定关系。此外，本文还运用重要度—满意度分析（(IPA分析)）法评估受访者对十项纪念品属性的感知。研究结果表明，受访者对其中四项的满意度较高。纪念品的做工则被认为是亟需改进的方面。

Imadji Coffee merupakan usaha kuliner yang berfokus dibidang olahan minuman kopi, namun masih terjadi permasalahan yakni penurunan penjualan pada penjualan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan konsumen terhadap kualitas produk dan pelayanan, mengetahui strategi pemasaran melalui aplikasi pesan antar, mengetahui kinerja dan tingkat kepuasan konsumen serta mengetahui atribut dan sistem pelayanan yang digunakan di Imadji Coffee Kota Denpasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam menghitung tingkat kepuasan konsumen yaitu Important Performance Analysis (IPA). Penentuan sampel menggunakan perhitungan Slovin dengan total jumlah responden sebanyak 88 orang pada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang digunakan oleh Imadji Coffee Kota Denpasar dalam upaya pemasaran produk pada aplikasi pesan antar yaitu dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Grab Food dan Go-food yang hingga saat ini menjadi aplikasi dengan jumlah pengguna yang tinggi. Aplikasi Grab Food menjadi platform yang dominan digunakan dengan nilai 69%, sedangkan Go-food dengan platform penggunanya 31%. Atribut yang dianggap paling penting oleh konsumen adalah kesesuaian harga dan produk dengan skor 408 dan sistem pelayanan yang dianggap paling penting oleh konsumen adalah kecepatan melayani dengan skor 396. Penawaran promo menjadi kinerja dengan tingkat kinerja tertinggi yaitu pada skor 334 dan begitu pula pada kepuasan konsumen dengan tingkat kepuasan tertinggi yaitu 90%. Hasil yang didapat pada atribut yang paling perlu untuk di perbarui yaitu kenyamanan lokasi.

The aim of this study is to undertake an empirical inquiry and comparison of the effectiveness of various classifiers with ensembles classifiers in the prediction of student academic performance. A single classifier algorithm will be compared against the performance and efficiency of ensemble classifiers. Reducing student attrition is a major problem for educational institutions all over the world. The search for solutions to increase student retention and graduation rates continues for educators. This is only possible if at-risk students are identified and intervened with as soon as possible. However, the majority of regularly used prediction models are inefficient and inaccurate as a result of inherent classifier limitations and the inclusion of insignificant inputs in their calculations. The majority of data mining and machine learning researcher focused on developing an algorithm that can extract useful information from massive amounts of data after being processed by a computer. The most difficult problem in predictive modelling is identifying the most effective prediction algorithms that are also accurate enough to be useful. Therefore, a multi-level homogeneous ensemble predictive (MLHoEP) model is designed, which uses the different techniques of data mining like feature selection, ensemble learning techniques like boosting and bagging. Seven distinct machine learning algorithms were used on this model to predict and analyse the academic performance of the students. The performance of the classification algorithms in terms of prediction was evaluated using k-fold cross-validation. The study contributes to the body of knowledge by suggesting the development of homogeneous classifiers that may be used to accurately predict students’ academic success. It also proposes the construction of homogeneous classifiers, which may be deployed for accurate student performance prediction, in order to provide a better explanation for the poor performance prediction. As a result of this research, it has been demonstrated that the technique of applying homogeneous ensemble approaches is incredibly efficient and accurate in terms of predicting student performance and assisting in identifying students, who are in danger of dropping out of school. The study compared the accuracy and efficiency of single classifiers to ensembles of classifiers in terms of performance. It was discovered in the research that a homogeneous model with excellent accuracy and efficiency might be developed for anticipating student performance. These key problems have been successfully addressed by the findings of this research study: Which characteristics of students are the most effective predictors of academic performance? How accurate are approaches such as bagging and boosting ensembles for predicting student academic performance? The approach offered in this study will aid educational administrators and policymakers in designing new policies and curriculum-linked to student retention in higher education. This research can also aid in the identification of students who are at risk of dropping out of school early, providing for timely intervention and support. User satisfaction can be measured through a variety of methods, including user satisfaction surveys, direct feedback, and analysis of user behavior data. This research aims to analyze user satisfaction withLearning Management System (LMS) Course Lean Manufacturing using methodImportance Performance Analysis (IPA). Through surveys and data analysis of 100 respondents from LMS users, we identified critical attributes that influence user satisfaction. The IPA method is used to assess the level of importance and performance of each attribute, with a focus on determining attributes that have a high level of importance but low performance. The results show that a particular attribute, which we identified as attribute A, has high importance but low performance. Transportation has become one of the most important services for supporting people's daily activities. The presence of GO-JEK in Manado become a phenomena since this kind of online-based application as transportation service provider had used by mostly people especially for Go-Ride Feature. This research aims to analyze the service quality and price of Go-Ride Feature on GO-JEK application in Manado. Type of this research is descriptive with quantitative approach and IPA used as the measurement tool. The sample size of this research is 100 respondents who already experience the Go-Ride feature on GO-JEK application in Manado. Convenience sampling was used by collecting data through online questionnaire. The result for service quality shows, Go-Ride's driver skill is very important to the customers and PT.GOJEK delivered good performance to the customers, this attribute located in Quadrant 2. The completeness attributes of Go-Ride drivers is the lowest average of importance and performance for service quality. The result for price shows that, affordability price is the highest level of importance and performance. Meanwhile the attributes such are: Go-Ride feature's price comparable with the facilities and price is cheaper than other public transportation, those attributes are located in Quadrant 3 with the low average.

The purpose of this study was to find out the digital competencies of vocational high school students and to derive implications for increasing the digital competencies of vocational high school students by identifying what competencies currently need to be improved most urgently. The results are as follows. First, the digital competency of vocational high school students was defined as the competency, including knowledge, skills, attitudes, and thinking skills that vocational high school students must have in common to perform their duties using various digital technologies after entering the labor market after graduation. Second, 5 major areas of vocational high school students' digital competencies were derived: 'understanding and responding to changes according to digital transformation', 'digital data collection and management', 'digital-based communication and collaboration’, ‘digital content development and utilization’, and 'digital-based problem solving' and minor 11 areas were derived. Third, ‘communication through digital technology’ and ‘digital data search and collection’ were identified as areas with high level of performance and importance, but ‘digital content development’ was identified as areas with low level of performance and importance. Fourth, competencies with high demand for improvement include ‘digital data search and collection’, ‘communication through digital technology’, ‘sharing and collaboration through digital technology’, and ‘digital content utilization’. In the suggestion, it was suggested that long-term research should be conducted to find ways to increase digital competencies of vocational high school students, and specific policy should be established that focus on improving students' foundational common competency.

Students are assessed by coursework and/or exams, all of which are marked by assessors (markers). Student and marker performances are then subject to end-of-session board of examiner handling and analysis. This occurs annually and is the basis for evaluating students but also the wider learning and teaching efficiency of an academic institution. However, this scrutiny may not be standardized and may differ between institutions and between different study programs and boards of examiners inside the same institution, as well as between sessions. This article aims to suggest a framework for this scrutiny, with provided examples, recommendations, and suggested practices to establish an approach that quantitatively and with statistical methods analyzes performance of both students and markers in a standardized, unified, and transparent manner and that may be employed across subjects and disciplines. The basis for this is accepted and rigorous suitable statistical methods that enable a comparison whereby performance of the student and the associated marking of the student's coursework and examinations in any given course are compared to the same student's performance in comparator courses, which thus establishes whether student or marking performance is comparable to the norm established by and for that student. This measures accuracy, reliability, and consistency of the marking process. The benefit of this is that it identifies strengths and weaknesses in assessment and examination practice, provides evidence to inform decision-making, tracks progress over time, and establishes institutional standards that thereby provide accountability. This establishes good practice in the process of assessment and examination.NEW & NOTEWORTHY Core to their education mission is that colleges and universities scrutinize assessment and examination via boards of examiners, but this scrutiny has no set standard or protocol. This article gives principles and practical recommendations, with examples, for how this scrutiny could or should be carried out, in a manner that establishes accountability and good practice that study programs and boards of examiners in education may utilize, to improve educational practice.

Surakarta City is one of the cities in Central Java which is densely populated, has high mobility, and has public transportation in the form of city buses, namely the Solo Trans Batik Bus (BST). Having a high level of congestion and transportation as the main means for activities, this study aims to determine the public's perception of the quality of services provided by the BST Bus. This study uses the service quality theory of Zeithaml, Parasuraman, and L. Berry which measures service quality with service quality dimensions (physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy). The research method uses quantitative descriptive with data collection techniques, namely questionnaires distributed through google form. Data analysis uses Importance Performance Analysis which explains what performance factors must be provided by an organization to meet customer satisfaction. The results showed that the service quality of the BST Bus was categorized as very good because it had a fairly high level of conformity, namely 92.23%. In the cartesian diagram, most attributes are found in quadrant B where in this quadrant shows a high level of service performance in accordance with high consumer expectations as well.

Defining Unique Student Populations: How measures of objective academic performance (MOAPs) can do more than predict college success.It is standard admission process at selective colleges and universities to consider applicants’ highschool GPAs and standardized test scores for admissions and financial aid decisions. Studentsacross the country try to perform on the ACT and SAT tests to improve their chances ofacceptance, and spend years keeping their grades up with hopes of getting in to their choice ofcollege or increasing their scholarship award. For open access institutions, however, admissionis based on exceeding minimum academic criteria. Students of every academic level have a placeon these schools campuses and this brings a complex educational environment to these schools.It is well understood that students across the continuum of academic aptitude have differentneeds, but understanding of these needs has been elusive. Popular opinion is that the better thestudent’s GPA and test scores, the more likely the student is to persist in college. This is why thecompetition for top students is so fierce. Recent studies have shown that a mathematicintervention at an open access institution has had a dramatic impact on student graduation rates;however, mitigating the correlation between standardized test scores and graduation rates. Studyof this intervention revealed a set of unique student groups based on classifying individualstudent ACT and GPA score combinations into four quadrants. These measures of objectiveacademic performance (MOAPs) are categorized in bin combinations of above and below theinstitutional average. This study utilized the ACT Engage survey and a new measure of studentmathematics efficacy to investigate these four groups and ascertain any differences in traits foreach group.Results of this study show that each population has a distinct reaction to the college process andto the curricular intervention studied. Unexpected results are revealed and conclusions aboutcurricular interventions, student success and potential further study are discussed. The findingsof this study may impact the development of first year programs and augment the admissions andrecruitment process of a wide range of institutions. Further impacts on minority populations, atrisk groups and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds may be extended.
